I've had the jacket for a bit over a year and its a nice casual coat thats warm and made well, but the pockets have no insulation, so no good to keep your hands warm and the HOOD is way to small to be useful. I don't have a huge head, or super huge hair, but with a ponytail or bun in my hair the hood just does not meet the standards i've come to expect from North Face design. Usually the hood is just falls back to far when you're not standing still and for it to be useful keeping the rain off ones head this is just not ideal. Great for dry, cold weather when I'm wearing a scarf and toque, but relying on it to keep your head toasty warm isn't something I do anymore.

After receiving the coat I noticed how thin it was and would make a mix better summer coat than a winter coat. Quality is just not what it used to be for the 500$ range. You'll need a sweater to survive Canadian winters with these coats.

You need better colors. Black gray and navy blue is old. Get a forest green or a dark red. A baby blue color.

Bought this jacket for my Hokkaido trip in Winter. It was going to be so cold so I needed a good jacket. This jacket surprisingly fits well in my petite frame (5'0 feet, 105 lbs). I love how you can cinch the waist to make it flattering, perfect length that reaches me slightly just below the knees
For the price of the jacket, I expected good quality and a product that delivers and this jacket unfortunately falls short in that category. First of all, the zippers are so incredibly frustrating. The zipper keeps getting stuck and does not glide on/off easily, which is a very important feature in a cold climate. My hands were freezing trying to zip up this jacket in the snow/cold lol. I wore this jacket for about two weeks and some of the down feathers are already coming out. Lastly, it is bulky (which I knew buying a parka), but for the amount of bulk it has it deceiving because its not that warm. I wore thick layers underneath the parka.
Overall, great looks but performance and quality falls short.

I was really excited for this one. It appeared to be well made and I appreciated the sustainability features, but for any type of weather or wind chill under 20F, I have felt so so cold. I purchased in January of 2024, so I likely have an older model, though I'm not sure how much they have changed. Immediately upon stepping out of the door, I can feel cool air in the coat. I'm not sure if this is a defect or what, but just be aware, especially if you plan on being outside more than 10 minutes in this coat. You will be cold.
Wish I,

I live in Atlantic Canada I wanted a warm and waterproof parka. The wind goes right through it. Today was -6 with a wind chill of -18 and I was cold on my walks.

I live in New England and bought this jacket for the great reviews. I've worn it on several very cold nights and this jacket does not live up to its expectation. Boxy, not warm. You're paying for the name. Better off getting a Columbia Jacket, wish I had.

I kind of regret buying this coat. I'm 180 lb and 5'6" for reference. To start I was in between sizes, the large is very snug, which is the size I went with, and the extra large was humongous and so unflattering. In my opinion I think the coat is 1 to 2 inches too short and when I wear the coat, it makes this annoying squishing (I don't know how to describe the sound) sound when I'm moving around. If I had the opportunity to go back, I probably wouldn't purchase this coat given the price tag.

They need to advertise going up 1 size so stores like Sport Chek advertise it too. Thankfully I just did it anyways. I want to return it but it's so hard to find a good jacket nowadays.

Loved the color and cut. But the hood was so large it covered my eyes and I couldn't see. Hopefully they will redesign this so the hood can be adjusted.

Not enough feathers for the price I paid. Northface jacket used to be much thicker with more feathers. Nor warm enough. Kind of disappointed.

The design needs updating. The pockets don't keep your hands warm and the zipper rubs against your wrist. The inside pocket is horizontal with no closure, so if you drape it over a chair it dumps out.

It's a good jacket but The inside pocket doesn't have a zipper, so if you put your jacket over your arm dumps out. I'd also prefer if the zipper was removable and if the pockets were a little more insulated.

Nice color- I do not like the 2 large bright white embroidered logos. My last North Face jacket had smaller logos in a more subtle thread. "Dry-vent" and "600" are also embroidered on the sleeves in bright white. Why would anyone want these?

I had high hopes for this cost but it started shedding feathers almost immediately. That shouldn't be the case for such an expensive coat.

Received this parka as a gift after searching for a very long time for a warm parka. Really wanted to love this parka, but it didn't quite do it. Really nice looking coat, material feels nice but it's not functional. It's not as warm as expected, the bottom rolls up strangely when you sit down, if you can sit down. You have to empty out your pockets in order to bend to sit, disappointing. The collar is always shoved into your face/mouth unless you unzip the parka to your chest, which defeats the purpose of a warm coat. Nice looking parka, but not worth the cost. I have a thin packable parka from another brand that is warmer and I can sit down wearing. Just doesn't live up to the hype.

Quality has gone down. This is a replacement of the same coat from 3 yrs ago and this one is clearly not as warm/filled and the hoods "fur" is 2" narrower that previous making it comical on the hood it self. Very disappointed

I had such high hopes for this coat. It had all the features I wanted and loved the color. After reading all of the reviews, I was thrilled to order it. It disappointed me in multiple ways.... 1) Not warm at all. I don't know why people think it's super warm but I was in 20-25 degree weather the last 2 days and it did nothing for me. Jacket feels thin and rather boxy shaped. 2) The most annoying part is the double zipper splits open every time you bend down, which also allows wind to coming whipping through so not ideal at all. Super annoyed. Will be returning. My bf's puffer jacket from North Face is WAY better than this. And it's a few years old... seems like they are cutting corners on quality now while still charging premium prices.

I bought this coat to replace my Arctic Parka from years ago, which I love! Even though the description says fully adjustable hood, it is not. Unfortunately, I had to return as the hood covers my face. I wish they didn't change this coat from the previous years as the older design was perfect.

I was told this was for very cold weather. It's not, especially when the wind is blowing. Weird design features in hood prevent securing properly for windy days when it's needed most-cannot be tied or secured-this makes no sense. Why design it this way?? The drawstrings to cinch the waist are in the pockets for some strange reason, and get caught on keys and other items when trying to remove items from the pockets. This also makes no sense. It's irritating as it impedes the functionality of the pockets.

I thought I was buying basically the same coat i have loved for a few years. This new coat's fabric is cheap and the overall shape us baggy with no shape. The hood covers my eyes so I can't see where i'm going. It is a medium but feels larger. There too many big white branding letters on several places on this coat.I do not enjoy wearing clothing that makes me a walking advertisement for your company. So disappointed. Total waste of money.
