I returned another TNF in exchange for this one, and I sort of regret it. If you zip up the parka all the way, the collar is constantly rubbing at your chin instead of your face fitting inside of it. This may not seem like a big deal but when you're trying to stay bumbled up and utilize the hood its REALLY agitating. I now leave it unzipped at the top 1/4 and instead use a huge scarf to prevent anymore scratching. Also the hood could be much deeper. Overall the fit is just off if you plan on wearing it zipped up with the hood. I do like the pocket placement though, other TNF parka pockets aren't conducive to you actually keeping your hands in your pockets for warmth.

I love the look of this coat. I noticed it constricted my neck and head once zipped up. The biggest con was how wrinkled the fabric was. I really didn't want to have a wrinkled butt for the whole time I owned the coat. I am sadly returning this since I can't justify paying that much for something that will constantly be wrinkled.

I love the look of the coat but for the price point I would've like it to be a little more warmer and more insulated in the sleeves. I have short arms and found that the sleeves fit at my wrist. I find that I have to still wear a sweater or sweatshirt under the coat in this Chicago weather. Also I wish there was more of a selection in coats in XXl sizes for women.

great coat- really warm and waterproof, but I had to return it because the zippers broke within the first few months of usage. This also happened with another North Face coat I got.

Found that one stitch is incomplete so a little concerned about finding another. So far the coat has held together though. Disappointed that the sleeves are just a tad short. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for this product. I walk out in the freezing cold and feel nothing - where I'm covered at least.

I was so excited waiting for the delivery of this coat from REI. My daughter bought the same coat in a different color and loves it. As soon as my coat arrived I tried it on...it felt so warm and comfy....but as I was trying to zip it up, the zipper got stuck and I couldn't budge it either up or down. I slipped the coat off over my head. I tried and tried, but couldn't get the zipper to move. Will have to return it to REI....so disappointed.

love this jacket, I had been eyeing it online and my fianc surprised me with it as a gift! My only complaint is that the sleeves seem extremely short compared to other similar coats I have owned. I am 510" and the large fits me perfectly, except on the sleeves. I don't want to get a larger size and then have the coat be big on me just so that the sleeves will fit.

I am 5'9" and wear a size 6. On most clothing items I am a medium. The medium on this coat left no room for a bulkier sweater beneath. It was tight fitting across the chest and in the arms with just a tshirt beneath. Love the look of the jacket so ordered s large

Seems like a warm coat, but looks too bulky on me for my taste and not a fan of the graphite color..

The jacket is well made, no doubt. It just didn't fit me quite the way I imagined it would when I ordered it online. The sleeves were a little too short for me, and it did not look flattering on me. I ended up exchanging it for the Far Northern Down Parka, which accentuates my womanly figure better than this coat [Arctic Down Parka] did. The huge pro about the Arctic Down is that the hood is completely removable if that's a selling point for you.

This coat is extremely warm. I have not had a chance to wear it yet in cold weather but I suspect it will be brilliant. Another pro is that this coat is less fitted than most TNF coats.

The sizing is very difficult to figure out. Realistic chest and shoulder measurements need to be implemented. I have broad shoulders and cannot find the correct size coat.

I purchased this as a treat to myself during the winter sale. I'm excited and can't wait until next winter when it'll be cold (and wet) enough for me to wear it. I did try it on and although the chest area is a little snug (I'm a 40 DDD), I am looking forward to being stylish and warm next winter.

Great coat, just didn't like the way it looked on me.

I first bought a medium and it was huge, but other than that I loved it so I exchanged for a small. The one I received had a messed up zipper. It took serious work to get it to zip, and when it did the bottom of the zipper would immediately split apart. It was very frustrating. I finally returned it which sucks because I really wanted this coat.

I WEAR IT DAILY BUT IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE IT HURTS THE THROAT WHEN ZIPPED UP AND THE MATERIAL AT THE THROAT IS SO RUFF YOU CAN'T FOLD IT DOWN UNLESS YOU ZIP IT OPEN WHICH WILL LET IN COLD AIR. THE HUDD IS ALSO TOO SMALL WHICH LETS IN COLD AIR BECAUSE IT DOES NOT COVER MY HEAD COMPLETELY.

Nice fabric and warm but made me look wide so I am returning it. I cannot go with a smaller size because it fits in the shoulders but is too wide on bottom.

I bought this jacket in black (size medium) 2 yrs ago and love it! So much so that I just ordered it in navy from moosejaw (got it cheaper). Love the color but the medium is too small all over. I called moosejaw and the girl asked if I ordered the NF Arctic down parka. Apparently they have had many returned for the same reason. Reordered in large.

I ordered both the medium and the large as I tend to have issues with North Face. I'm 5'6" at an athletic 160 lbs. The large was huge, and the medium was incredibly tight in the chest area. Had to return both due to poor fit for my body type.

I used to be a North Face fan of everything; but this new parka is not as expected. The insider filled down is too little and not provide enough warm for windy day in Boston; during a windy day, i can feel the cold wind come through my arms and my shoulder. The sleeves are too short and the inner linen is also too short. definitely returning. Comparing to the one i purchased 8 years ago, this one is a lot thinner (equivalent to about 30% of the down filled from my old parka) , not worth of even the sale price. Hoping North face would add more down to this parka next year so i would considered buying it.

Top was fine and reasonably fitted so wearer does not look like The Michelin Man or a Pillsbury Doughboy. But the hips were so wide, it felt as if the coat should belong to two different people. If hips were cut slimmer (not tight, just not so wide), the coat would have been great. I am 5'4", 118 lbs; size 4-6 clothing; and medium in this coat. A small would have been too tight on top.

Based on other reviews, I tried a small and a medium in this coat. However, it may not be the coat for me. It really would suit someone with a very small top and sloped shoulders, accompanied by substantial hips. I am 5'7", 135 pounds but the top felt tight and short-waisted. (I am debating trying a large.) I love the teal color, though.

Large was too big and the medium had a weird cut to it... I'd buy the jacket again if I tried it on first

Loved the fabric they chose for this jacket but I had to exchange it for another style. I am 5'8" and 140, I ordered a medium, it was much too short in the arms and too wide on the waist with no adjustability. I love north face an have several of their coats and I've never had a too short in the arms problem. I did however decide to splurge and go for the Shavana parka and I'm in love! It has amazing features (like built in "emergency" gloves, they're kinda like running sleeves) great fit with adjustable waist/hood/sleeves. It's is by far the warmest coat I have every put on! Id give the Shavana a 5*
