I'm surprised to see how good reviews are for this jacket. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new North Face to replace my super old North Face. Nothing was wrong with it, but it was quite dated. In less than two months of wearing my new jacket already has a ripped pocket. I called to see if they'd fix it and they said it takes 6-8 weeks. Winter will be over by then. The pocket is so ripped it's not even useable. If I put anything in it it falls to the bottom of the jacket inside the lining. I also find the neck of the jacket to be uncomfortable. It hits me squarely in the chin. The bottom zipper doesn't hold. If I bend down or take a wide step it opens itself and slides up. I'm quite disappointed in this jacket. My last one lasted so so many years and this one already has problems two months in.

It feels warm when tried on in the store, or at home. In practice however, it is not when you are outdoors. Which defeats a whole purpose of spending all this money on such a promising jacket.I will return.

great thing about this jacket, color and length. Not so great, too puffy and hoodie was too big, it covered my face.

This coat felt like it would be very warm and comfortable. However, the fit is off in several ways. The body was a bit loose while the sleeves were both too tight and the cuffs too short. The hood however was ridiculously huge, hung down to my chin, stuck out on the sides like wings, and is not adjustable in any way. I couldn't even see, and could not make it work. Unfortunately I sent it back.

It looks nice but fits poorly. The sleeves are very long and for me the top of it is too large and the bottom too snug as I am pear shaped. Unfortunately it also fits loosely at the neck which makes it not very warm and the wind gets in. Looks good when standing still but disappointed in the fit and not very warm.

Beautiful color and quality. I wish the sleeves weren't so long or else I would have kept. 5'2" and always order a size up at NorthFace (normally wear 2x but order 3x due to incorrect sizing). I think maybe more fit testing needs to be done with plus sizes to get the correct measurements.

Unfortunately this jacket just doesn't hold up to cold temps. It's very thin and light as a feather. It's 20 in CO and I can feel the cold on my skin. Extremely disappointed. Beautiful, but returned.

I heard good things about this jacket, so I purchased it online. When it arrived I was surprised at the lack of quality and the below average fit. I ended up returning it and was disappointed.

This jacket's material is too stiff around the neck because of the waterproof treatment, plus the black that I ordered is kind of matte finish and it not a pretty color. I has returned this jacket.

Disappointed in the quality of this product. They used Velcro instead of snaps for the closures. Hood is not removable nor can is be rolled up and tucked away. The jacket has a still almost brown paper bag feel to it.

The coat does feel very warm and comfortable. But for the price, I was expecting a better fit and for the fabric not to attract so much lint and dust. I am 5'7" and the coat felt about 3 inches too long. The fabric also looked very dirty very quickly in the black color. I'll be returning this.

The way the Velcro is on the bottom of the coat it catches on the cloth part of the sleeve causing it to be fuzzy and lint like only after 2 weeks of wearing. I will return.

I purchased an older model of this coat and it was great. I needed a new coat because the zipper broke on that one. This one is NOTHING like that coat. It was a lot heavier and of better quality. It also had buttons. I don't like the Velcro. This coat is lightweight, runs small, and doesn't wash well. I washed it once and the material changed. Also, the hoodie is smaller as well, it barely fits over my head. I wouldn't recommend this coat at this price.

Wish I had gotten the outer borough parka instead this is not as puffy or as comfy.

I regret buying this jacket. Didn't realize how much of a hassle and trouble having velcro instead of good old snap buttons would cause. It's damaging my gloves, my sweaters and scarves. Why, why did the company think this would be a good idea??? 2 stars because the jacket is very warm and will keep you dry. But even for the sale price, not worth it with the Velcro on it.

The coat is exactly what I expected. I like design and quality. But the coat attracts lint everywhere. After I used lint brush I see lint again. I'm very disappointed with this black coat.

The size runs too large. I am sorry to have ordered medium because of the note on the site. Now I cannot find the small size.

I want to start by saying I've owned an arctic parka for the last 5 or 6 years. I LOVE it, it's sooooo warm. My new arctic parka not so much. For starters it has horrible velcro flaps covering the zipper. My old one has buttons . Second the hood on this one is built in!, It's not detachable like the other. Literally everything sticks to it. It doesn't feel as warm or filled as my other. Disappointed any way you slice it. It's not the same quality that TNF has delivered in the past.

1not for short people with bigger hips and thighs. Could barely close. I did not like the velco front and it was already hanging onto stray threads. i am 5'1" and this was not meant for me

I am 5'1" and140 pounds. Unfortunately all my weight in my hips and thighs. This jacket was huge on top, sleeves too long, and really tight on my hips. No women's jackets account for women with hips and thighs.

I feel too big for the neck area. This will easy let the cold air come inside.

The arctic parka is very warm jacket however the feathers keep falling out. At first I thought it was just Lint from being a new piece of Garment but its been over 2 months now and both lint & feathers keep coming out. Also spoils the inner layers.
