I have a wider foot so the 4E works best for me. These shoes are so comfortable and easy to wear all day!

Love this shoe. I'm a terrible pronator. I did the whole barefoot running thing, got Plantar Fascitis and how to wear a good shoe for awhile. I bought the Kayano 20 at the time and it was a god send. I have been running the hoka clifton for awhile, but they are very light and I broke them down quick. These shoes are perfect. A lot of cushioning but not squishy. I feel very quick in them. They hold my feet up nicely when my form gets sloppy. They are a little heavy, but I really don't notice it on the runs.

If you had the previous version of these shoes make sure to order the wider version of the new ones. I bought the normal set and they are too narrow, just like most of the reviews say. I returned them and bought the wider set and they are better.

Lightweight, great support, but more importantly, great customer service from Zappos.

I bought these, as I had earlier versions of these shoes. Asics quality control is really dropping off. Within a few weeks of getting these shoes the heels started coming apart. The green sole separated from the black cushion. I glued them back together, twice, but they would never hold. I finally lost the back section of the heel on the right shoe. For this price, I expected a better product. I will not be buying any Asics again

I've worn Asics 2000 for about 10 years. I buy them because they fit my foot which has a narrow heel and wide toe spread. The latest version of GT 2000-4, my go to shoe, was changed. The arch and toe box were too narrow. I switched to the Kayano 22 and got a better fit. They are still a little narrow, but are comfortable enough, and there were no toe problems. They are a keeper. I would recommend the Kayano 22.

I have had several pairs of these shoes over the last 4 years. They are very comfortable and stylish. However, the one consistent shortcoming is that the heel sock seems to quickly wear away. The result is that I have a great pair of shoes with a big hole worn through the cloth material and foam at the highest part of the shoe back. This has happened on all three pairs. I would think this could be resolved by strengthening the lining material in that area.

I have wide feet (2E) and have been running in Kayano's for years. This latest version seems to be a little more narrow than previous versions so be warned when sizing. Also, the front toe cap seems to be a little stronger than previous versions but I can't tell if that's related to the narrower feel. Ran 12 Saturday in them and everything else about the shoe is fine. However, if I had my choice I'd want my 21's back. :(

Very unhappy, I have ordered and reordered shoes. I have wore shoes sized11 for years. I tried all the way up to 12.5 and still no fit. I probably spent $50.00 returning these shoes

I have been a fan of Asics for more than 30 years, especially for the width. Unfortunately, the 2e is too tight. I never had a problem in the past. I read a previous review another customer mentioned the same problem.

I have been buying the Kayano for many years. I buy a new pair every year. While it fits well, I am saddened by its deterorating styling in wider sizes and the overall cheapening of its materials. I have started looking at other brands. Too bad.

I wore two previous versions of the Kayano. As others have noted, the 22 is very different. While the quality seems comparable to previous versions of the Kayano, the fit of the 22 is entirely different, both shorter and narrower. My pair was very uncomfortable and had to be returned. I decided not to order a larger size, as I would expect from cut of the shoe that it would be overly narrow regardless of length. This shoe may be ideal for someone with a narrow foot, but I would suggest ordering at least a half size larger.

These shows loose side support fast. At first they are great but after a week or two they start to loose support. In my case it was the left side.

Asics shoes in general have a very big problem with the width of the shoe changing every time they introduce a new model. Starting with the Kayano 20s, then going to the 21s and now the new 22s...the shoe keeps getting more narrow each time. Same with the GT2000 series. It's very annoying because I can never look forward to getting a new model since I have no idea whether or not they'll fit. Thank God for Zappos being so good with returns!

This shoe is poorly constructed and the back of the heel was worn down (through the fabric and the padding) within a few months of light use. Very disappointed and won't be Asics again

If you wear a 9, order an 11. I've heard of shoes running a little small, but this is ridiculous - something must have really gotten lost in the translation because these are a full 2 sizes smaller than the labels. Someone at Asics needs a firm talking to.

The brand is fine - the sizing is all wrong

The shoe was comfortable as far as the padding/cushion goes but was (for me) a full size small and narrow. The big toe area was a bit uncomfortable.

What happened to all of the padding in the ball of the foot? Very cheaply made, don't look as if they would last long, Padding at back of heel pushes into foot causing pain.

I purchased two pairs of Kayano 22 running shoes, but they are far more narrow than previous years' models, so I am returning both pairs. I had previously bought perhaps 6 pairs over the past five years.

I have been running in kayanos since 2005. I guess that was the 11 or 12 model. I wear a full size 15, and I go about 235 lbs. All have been exceptional until now. I just purchased the 22s and when I put them on, I was absolutely shocked. the firm but comfortable cushion was gone. the shoes fit like an extremely narrow 14-14.5. the toe box has shrunk considerably. I am just so happy that I purchased through zappos so I can return them hassle free.

I just sent these back 45 seconds after inspecting them. They were a huge disappointment compared to last year's same model. This year's version is radically cheaper looking, more cheaply constructed, cheaper looking finish and details. I bought the size 13 Quadruple E (4E) and the toe box was still too narrow! My feet are barely medium to narrow in width, and I bought these for maximum toe box room. But was shocked at how narrow these were. Also, compared to last year's model (of which I bought three pairs last season because they were very nice shoes), this year the shoes use very cheap, and very, thin rubber strips to support the outer exoskeleton of the shoe and the toe cap rubber is very thin and super flexible. I know that I would break through this cheap rubber, so-called reinforced toe cap in a jiffy. Last year's model had silver reflective accents, for night safety, but this year there is no reflective detailing, nor any added nice design features you would expect on flagship expensive shoes! These shoes are plain Janes, and cheaply made to boot! We are getting suckered with the crappiest, most cheaply manufactured and designed goods in our entire history. And these overpriced pieces of crap are leading the way! These are cheap shoes and sadly, I will be saying good bye to Asics Kayanos. It was literally a great run while it lasted over the past 5-7 years, but the once high quality design and construction are now extinct. Do not be a sucker, and buy these over-priced shoes pretending to be the genuine Asics of old.

I gave these shoes to my husband for Christmas. While away, my husband put them on and realized that the sole was not properly glued. Being the engineer he is, he was able to fix them with returning them. I would have returned them immediately. I am considering not buying this brand again.
