Very soft uppers. I am looking forward to getting to know them better. I have always been pleased with NewBalance shoes.

I purchased the shoes for every day walking. They have exceeded my expectations. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. It takes a long time to put a military shine to make the shoes more dressy.

They fit well and are comfortable out of the box. Frankly, though, I like the feel of the 928 with velcro a bit better, but these will do as well.

An excellent shoe, definitely. My personal problem in the width of my feet. NB has always been able to accommodate me with the proper size.

Sneakers fit well and are comfortable. It is important to me to buy American also . My only complaint is the right shoe squeaks every time I walk on it. I am hoping it stops at some point.

I bought this shoe based on promise of rollbar support and expectation that it would be a long term, 9-12 months of wear, solution for my daily walking needs. It's not likely I can provide a meaningful evaluation 2-3 weeks after purchase. I can say that it is very annoying that the shoes squeak when I walk.

'Looking for comfortable casual shoe for work with adequate tongue length. One week's wear and so far the shoe is comfortable, true to size, seems good.

Quality and fit are good so far(haven't had long enough to determine anything else). But both shoes have a very lite squeak while walking. Maybe it will go away after they break in. Time will tell, but if it continues, problem!

I had major surgery on both feet and also have neuroma issues. I use custom made orthotics inside these shoes and they are very sturdy. I love that they are made in the USA! They could be just a bit stiffer according to my doctor but not too bad.

Shoes are comfortable and fit well. I like that they are made in USA. I gave I only 4 out of 5 stars because of cost . . . it is comparable to Newbalance 813 shoes, but costs more. And I wish it came in brown too instead of just black.

I have been wearing these for the past 8 years they last a few years . Great shoe needs a little more padding will be ordering again

The 626 industrial are the best shoes I've ever worn for all day work on my feet, the 706 postal walkers are understated and function in a professional environment due to the logo-free upper... My dream? A 706 upper on a 626 sole. How about it, NB?

I've been wearing these shoes for years and really like them, and they are made in the USA. My one complaint is the top two eyelets. Every time I lace the shoes for the first time I need to use an awl to enlarge and line up the holes in the liner and the outer layer of the shoes. A real pain but it only happens one time for each pair of shoes.

The shoe is comfortable to wear, however I had difficulty putting the laces through the top-most eyelets. Recommend the opening be enlarged during manufacture.

These are comfortable and fit well, but my experience has been that the outside upper always wears out where it connects to the sole. Usually in about 6-7 months, walking roughly ten miles per day. Really wish I could get a year out of then.

I like the shoe but don't understand why it is so expensive. I am still looking for decent socks. I don't like to wear anything tight and seems impossible to find socks that are not too tight. Whatever happened to comfortable fit!

As a former retail store owner who also had a USPS [Postal] license; I have been wearing the 706 shoe [in size 8-1/2 Narrow] and its various incarnations for over 30 years. The shoe is American Made, comfortable, has enough room to fit my Rx orthotics [when the insole is removed]. The shoe can be polished and treated with liquid silicone to add some water resistance. The soles last a very good length of time. It would be nice if NB could make a brown/tan version of this shoe , in all sizes and widths, to be worn with tan/brown colored slacks .

Good fit, comfortable, good walking shoe. But for some reason, very noisy. My walking partner could hear them over the sounds of walking and talking.

Really, that Postal certificate is for the original model. To claim it for this version could be costly to NB. Bought 2 pairs of the original. One had a chunk missing from the sole and the other pair split from heal to toe in Bellinzona Switzerland in a downpour. Both pairs lasted a long time but got loose over the years. The laces never broke. No matter who I tied them, without putting a double knot, they came undone. These were 14 narrow and were comfortable to stand in for long periods of time

I wear them with additional arch supports. They're very comfortable. My only complaint is that they don't breathe quite as well as other shoes, so my feet get hot quickly when the weather is warm or with a lot of activity.
