I've been a New Balance Customer for several years. I've purchased shoes online and at a nearby New Balance store in Lutherville-Timonium , Md.
I was hoping these shoes would be great for walking. My 1300 10.5 and 2E size have always been perfect. The Postal Walking shoes are horrible.
I've put softer inserts in them but they still aren't comfortable. Sadly , I've worn then inside the house and out for a brief time to see if they would feel better.
I'm really disappointed with them and am now stuck with shoes I won't continue to wear. They were not the comfort or quality that I've experienced from past New Balance Shoes.

There is something odd about the construction of this shoe. I have very wide feet and generally wear 4E. These shoes seem (barely) wide enough but the tongue is not wide enough to cover the space under the laces. Also, these shoes are not particularly well cushioned and do not seem to have much arch support. Will return.

I was excited to try these, until I couldn't get the laces through the top two eyelets. No idea why.

I bought these shoes for a seasonal position with USPS. The post office makes a big deal about employees wearing a specific type of shoe and you're warned that failing to comply will result in being sent home. At least at the 2 Southern California offices I worked at, this was a gross exaggeration. Regular employees had a variety of "unapproved" footwear and my boss even told me he wouldn't send me home if I was wearing flip-flops because of their need during the holiday season. All of this is to say... DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES. Especially if you are overweight.
These shoes are awful and an insult to one's feet. I would be okay for the first 3-4 hours, but then the pain would become increasingly unbearable. After suffering for a few days and seeing my co-workers wearing their comfy sneakers, I switched to my New Balance walking shoes. I've been wearing those ever since and there is no comparison. My feet are a little sore by the end of the day, but it's a reasonable expectation. These postal-specific shoes are an absolute atrocity and should never be made again. Imagine foot pain so bad that you experience shooting pains moving up your leg. I'm legitimately not straying into hyperbole here; they're simply that horrible.

MARKED AS 5 STARS because the New Balance kept encountering an "error" when I tried submitting it as a 1-star review so I tried to bypass their potentially rigged review system...

The shoe seemed to fit okay, same as my other New Balance shoes. At the end of the day something was going on in the arch. I tried wearing the shoes for a second day and wish I had not. The next three days my foot was bothering me so I returned the shoes.
I usually like New Balance but not these.

New Balance is faking it to make money. There is no way this shoe is certified to be worn on a 8 - 10 hour shift. No way New Balance!

Tight fit, per user, seem to be loosening up some.

Shoes fit great. Very comfortable feel for my feet. But after just one day of wearing them around, the outer heels felt like they were collapsing! This made my legs tilt in that direction. Hurt my legs and back. I'm not a fat man either. Fit and trim! Shoe material on top front is flimsy. The slightest scratch against a hard surface begins to tear the material. Do not buy these horrible shoes!

This shoe fatigued my foot and had an overall disappointing fit. Find it difficult to believe that it's approved by the USPS for letter carriers.

I am a UPS driver and was looking for a lightweight shoe for the summer. After 3 days I had to add extra padding because the bottoms of my feet hurt. There is no support and my back started to hurt. Not worth the price.

I don't understand how these are postal approved. After just one day of working on these shoes the bottoms are completely worn down! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Those postal shoes have been certified by the US Postal Services without asking our letter carriers for our reviews. It was too bad that the management never tried to weat them by themselves while they are doing on the sitting hours in the office than finding out how to use them on the street delivery! Those shoes are the worse rating..... no good for our arch supports.... no need to feel lighted shoes because we the letter carriers have strong legs, strong feet, and can lift our feets in heavy shoes, like in the winter times. Those Postal 706v2 shoes definitely flunked out. Do not purchase them ever again. Never buy any USPS-certified shoes!

Shoe has no heal support and knees hurt after use. Shoe tongue in both shoes, moves side wards making it a very uncomfortable fit.

These are horribly uncomfortable. There is almost no cushioning. I have been wearing New Balance walking shoes at work for years. I tried out this model and it hurt my feet so badly it is basically unwearable. Two months later, I am back at Zappos looking to buy some new shoes to replace these.
