Nice long velcro straps. Plenty of toe room. Good fit.

These shoes are super easy to get on for my adult son with special needs. He can work the Velcro by himself and they feel great on his feet.

As a long-time New Balance wearer, I have had to change to style # 813 due to breathing problems. With a severely compromised respiratory system, bending over to tie lace shoes left me short of breath. With style #813 it is just slip them on, use the velcro straps, and I'm ready to go. This is now the only choice for me in daily footwear.

for work I walk a lot. I like them. They pass work but are much more comfortable to wear all day I do a lot walking.

This is the first shoe in a long time that does not hurt my toes.

I got these for my son for work. He loves them and they are very comfortable.

These are the most comfortable shoes for my wide diabetic feet. This is my fourth pair. The only downside is they don't last long enough.

My 812 is still used with pleasure after 6 years. The soles, leather and Velcro work and feel like new. This model was USA made when NB cared about its brand name. I only bought the 813 because the cushioning around heel in the 813 were wearing through. But still the old model works better than the much lower quality NB 813 for comfort and wear. I wish companies would stick with quality as a selling feature and if they decide to offshore then they should insist on higher quality if that is even possible.

everyday use, gym, only shoe for day, I need a A in black very narrow foot

I have a hard time finding a good shoe. I am a big guy and tend to underpronate. I also have medical conditions that cause pain in my ankles if my shoe doesn't correct the underpronation. Most shoes, for me, tend to collapse on the lateral side. The sole of these is sturdy and doesn't collapse. The rollbar prevents either under or over pronation. They have great cushion to prevent fatigue, without being "smooshy" like some other cushioned shoes that use memory foam. The removable insoles allow use of Superfoot or other orthotics or inserts. Also, they look great. The leather is supportive and substantial without the squeeks you sometimes get from leather uppers. They have a rounded, wide toe box that looks good and doesn't pinch on wider feet. I will buy these until they quit making them, which I hope is far into the future. I have them in both brown and black and love them both!

Use for walking and it fits and feel great and a very good looking shoe

Mom has to wear an ankle brace that makes it impossible to wear a women's shoe, this fits her brace and doesn't look too different from the New Balance women's shoe that she wears on her other foot.

Having been a loyal customer for over 15 years this was the end all. New Balance has totally sacrificed quality in material and workmanship for profit. Disgusting! I've always worn the 928 Walking Shoe all leather for substantially more money and bought another pair this year. Big mistake and I compounded it by buying the 813 thinking it sounded as good as the 928 for $60.00 less. The sizing is off (the Narrow is to wide now) and the quality is even worse than the 928 was.This is the end save your money. If you are looking for the pressure relief sole insert the new NB is junk go online and buy the original NB now marketed as the "10 Second to Comfort" identical to the old NB because it is the original. You will thank me later.

I love theses sneakers with no laces because the laces shed on me, the sneakers with out laces are much easier for me to closes up, & I love them very much

Since you cannot change the shoe's basic design (its last), over time you can get the feel of a manufacturer's intent to make the shoe surround the foot. There are two things the customer can decide on. First, where will the shoe be employed - running, walking, etc. Then the size must be determined so the foot is neither cramped nor flopping in the extra space. Having philosophized above, I need to tell you about my experience and satisfaction. For years I found New Balance sneakers (with laces)to meet my comfort needs. As time marched onward (where else would it go?), hook and loop increased in desirability. I found NB had only one model, so I went through a series of three pairs with reasonable satisfaction. As my foot grew in size and NB came up with the 813, I have now a pair in a suitable size. Very comfortable! If I must complain about something, I will point out that there is a restriction in interior vertical dimension at the line of stitches where the base of the tongue meets the base of my toes. Otherwise the 813 is great!

Was looking for a shoe with Velcro closures for my father. He was having trouble tying his shoes and we are working on keeping him "independent". We were not sure how he would react to these; he absolutely loves them. Easy to get on/off. Velcro stays secure throughout the day I purchased the grey color. Highly recommend.

I use the sneakers for walking and a little running. They are very comfortable.

NEEDS BETTER IN SOLE, SOMETHING SOFTER OR REBOUND, WILL HALF TO PICK UP SOMETHING AT WALLY LIKE ELESTIC ON THE HOOK AND LOOP

My whole family live in their NB shoes. This particular one is purchased over and over by myself and sons. We wear them daily as our everyday shoe and go thru them quickly!!! They are great for walking, profession/casual look, working, etc.

Everyday use. Casual/dress for special occasions and meetings. About anything you want to use it for!!!!

The shoes were fine. I didn't wear them. Once they arrived, I tried them on. I ordered the size of show that I have worn for years. These were too short and I returned them right away. Apparently, their system continues to seek a review. I'm writing this in hopes that I will not get asked again.
