The issue I had was in the ankle. It was too loose in the ankle..keep in mind I'm a size 11. so maybe they build out the ankle width according to size, in which case this would probably be ideal for people with wide feet and wide ankles. Just not me. Long feet and skinny ankles over here!

I ordered a size 8 first, which is my normal shoe size. I do have a narrow foot though. The 8 was way too big for me so I exchanged it for a 7. The 7 fit me in the length of the shoe, but it was way too big around the ankle for me. Needless to say I returned them. They are super cute....just didn’t fit me to keep them.

Gorgeous sandal . . . on someone else's feet. Unfortunately these cut me off at the ankle and the sole was a tad smaller than a true 10. Wish I could have made it work, but I sent them back.

I was very disappointed in this sandal. I have been watching it for a while and Finally decided to buy it. The leather feels very stretched out and there is definitely no support in it at all but you can tell when you’re looking at the shoe online that it has no support. I would have been much happier if the shoe fit better and not like it had already been worn A thousand times.

Beautiful sandal! My ankles are really narrow and they moved too much through the shoe to work for my comfort.

The ankle closure is very tight.

These were so comfortable when I first tried them and the style is unique and great. But as other reviews have said, the rivets push against my ankle bones when I walk. Within five minutes I had bright red marks on my ankles from the rivets that were quite sore. Such a shame to send them back!

Too wide in the toes and I have wide feet. Made for a sloppy unsupportive fit. Nice hand crafted look.

Loved these shoes and so wanted them to fit, but they are very short. Size 9, my regular size, my toes were at the very end of the shoe. So I went up to 9 1/2, which only are wee bit longer and then too wide. Bummer.

I really like the overall look of this sandal. The leather is pretty and it really is a cute shoe. Unfortunately, I have wide feet and high arches and the cut of the shoe accentuates both of these aspects of my foot. There is nothing special added for comfort, they are not uncomfortable, but also wouldn't describe them as particularly cushiony either. very cute, just not for me.

Sadly these did not work out. They were too loose, but not by enough to order a size down and they just seemed to rub in all the wrong places. Back to Sofft and Mephisto.

Love the way it looks. I'm typically between size 7/7.5, the size 7 fit perfectly with the exception of the ankles. The ankle opening is SNUG! I can zip it, but it feels like the sandal is choking my ankle. It also hits exactly where my ankle bones protrude out which adds to the discomfort. I've worn them a few times, and I think it's loosening up so I'm hopeful they will be more comfortable. I'll also say that while uncomfortable, I'm not in pain so I'm hopeful that once they loosen up they will be good to go. The soles are also quite slippery/no traction but I think that's the case with most flat sandals. I'll probably take it to my cobbler to add a rubber pad. I didn't try getting size 8, I think it would be far too big given my only issue is with the ankle opening.

I love these shoes! They are super cute and pretty comfortable. My main complaint is really specific: they are SO slippery on the bottom. I have almost slipped and fallen several times wearing these shoes and I had to order some special grippy stickers to put on them, which was a pain. I wear my baby in a carrier and these shoes feel dangerous. Would be a simple thing for Bed/Stu to fix! THanks

They are really cute but the zipper comes up too high in the back and hurts.

I had my eye on these shoes for 6 months and finally bought them. I was so excited...until I put them on. The grommets on the upper inside of the shoe press and rub my ankle bones terribly, to the point of having 2 small round bruises on the bone area. I have very tiny ankles and went up a half size to a 7 since they don't come in half sizes and the ankle opening is still uncomfortable and tight. They are so cute though so hoping I can stretch them out and they won't rub right on the bone for long.

I wanted to love them. They are very cute. As some other reviewers mentioned, the ankle opening is small. It "fit" but wasn't comfortable. Also worth mentioning that the actual color is a lot lighter than pictured. Unfortunately at that price, I unable to keep them.

These are really cute sandals. I love the rustic black leather and the style. After reading all the reviews and seeing that they only come in whole sizes, I was not expecting that they would fit, and they don't. Here's why they don't fit me. I wear a size 9.5, but depending on the shoe sometimes a 10 works better. In the case of this shoe, a 10 was about the perfect length, but everything else about it was too big. I have a slightly narrow foot and a high but not hugely high arch, and generally I comfortably wear a B width. I felt as if my feet were swimming in these. The strap across the toes felt a little wide, but the part that goes around the foot felt huge. I could feel my entire foot lifting up out of the bed of the sandal when walking. And for some reason, the back of the sandal on my left foot, but not the right, was very stiff and stuck into the back of my ankle when walking in the shoes. Darn!! They were so cute, but back they go.

The shoes are super cute and stylish; however, they are tight around the ankle and rub where the rivets are. If I wasn't so excited about the cute style of the shoes, I probably would have sent them back. However, I am hopeful that because they are leather they will loosen up after I break them in a bit.

The ankle is ridiculously small, making anyone look as if they have thick ankles. I know I have average ankles but, uh, no, not in these. Terribly unflattering. The style is super cute + I love the Sand color (like nude); they do run a hair small but when I tried a half size up my foot was swimming. Weird, inconsistent sizing. My return will make someone else very happy, to be sure, if she doesn't mind thick looking ankles. I do.

Beautiful shoe and fit everywhere except the ankles. Too tight for me there. The lowest, thickest part of my ankle measures 9.5 inches and I wear a size 10.5 shoe. So maybe measure your ankle before you order.

Cute shoe, but not attractive around the ankle...too big. If made smaller they would need to put in elastic of some sort for give. Felt I could walk out of the right shoe and felt the leather dig in (not soft enough to absorb the rub). The red is a nice color.

These sandals are wonderfully stylish, and quite comfortable, but have two major flaws: there is very little arch support, and they are really poorly made. They have already broken, after only a couple months of occasional wear.
