Fine shoe and a good value. Great styling and well made, although mine did have one little dropped stitch on the detailing which was minor but made me return the shoe. Shoe is comfortable out of the box. They were just a little large (not quite a half size); I think perhaps they are allowing for the padded insole.

Shoes looked great. I typically wear an 8.5-9 medium depending on shoe/boot/manufacturer. The 9 was too long for me but felt narrow, the sides of the shoes bowing as I put weight on them.

This is a good looking shoe, but it felt narrow particularly after several hours. Could not wear more than once.

These shoes are sharp however I read the reviews that this was smaller and I ordered a 13, normally wear a 14, and it was WAY to small. Normally I can still get my foot in a 13 but my toes push the edge, I couldn't even get my feet in these. They were also very stiff. I know that leather gives over wear however you should still feel semi-comfortable putting them on. I had to return them and pick out a different shoe.

The shoes is nice I would say beautiful but not comfortable at all. After long day in the office you can feel that your feet are hurting and tired. I would not recommend this shoes on a daily office wearing. Also, it is very slippery it feels you are on ski especially when you walking on carpet.

Great looking shoe, really tight both in length and width. I am going to try to stretch them out a bit in a warmer and more humid room and see how they fit then.

The fit was mostly good. Excellent on length, but even when ordering the appropriate width after professional measuring, the shoe bound and pinched the toes. Secondly, the arch support was puzzling. It was entirely too high, and placed too close to the heel, and had zero give to it, as if there was a constant wooden block just in front of the heel.

I tried the 9 and returned because they were too big. Tried the 8.5 and while it seemed like the correct size, my heel did not stay in place and was just uncomfortable. Great looking shoe, just didn't feel right when I walked. Returned the 8.5 and will not be trying another size.

I really wanted to like these shoes. This is what you will need to have in order to like them more than me: High insteps and no fear of slipping. These shoes checked off all the style points on my list: black wingtip with contrast stitching and wood soles. While I felt they were true to size in terms of length and width (ordered 9.5D, wear 9.5D in Cole Haan, and 10D in Puma), they are very tall. The construction of the instep inhibits tightening for a snug fit: the two halves of the instep meet each other in the middle while static. See my pictures to see what I mean. I prefer the look of wooden soles with black shoes; the black Oxfords from Cole Haan I'm replacing have a wood sole with rubber only on the very bottom. These are completely wood with only a little rubber on the heel. I slide around on my bedroom carpet, solid wood hallway, and tile bathroom floor. I wouldn't be able to wear these long enough to break them in without first breaking my ankles. Sadly, the inability to tighten the laces + soles that are slipperier than a polished dance floor = a return label.

i tried 3 different sizes of this shoe because it was exactly the style i wanted. however it just never worked. i slipped out of the back heal with each step in every single pair. the cut of the shoe rubs uncomfortably against the ankle. i cannot wrap my head around the sizing. the 8.5 wide is the exact same width and length of another oxford i owned that was 9.5 normal width. they look great but after 3 attempts to find my size, i give up.

These are very large shoes - a full size larger in length and also very wide. Too bad because they are lovely shoes. Thanks Zappo for free delivery and returns!

Handsome, comfortable wingtips. Alas, I wore through the sole in 10 months.

These shoes were bar-none the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever purchased. So uncomfortable that I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of the prior reviews. These shoes seemed designed for a foot no more than 1/2" tall, so if you happen to possess three-dimensional feet as I do, these will not be the shoe for you! In addition, if you are planning to purchase these, note that the wooden/leather sole is extremely slippery compared with other similar shoe designs. I will say that they appear extremely well made and are quite attractive -- if they *do* fit you, I would suspect you'd get quite a few years out of them with reasonable care.
