Hurray, I've found my favorite sneakers! When I knew it was time to replace my old white sneakers, I absolutely knew I did not want white. White is for old people and I'm only 75. These shoes are fabulous and I'm so tempted to buy another pair today - just to have in case Dansko decides not to make this particular style any longer. I really like the slightly wider toe, it's so much more comfortable. Even though I do have a narrow heel, these sneakers don't slip. And to top it all off, they're not white. They don't scream "look at me, new sneaks." I love the denim blue and you folks were nice enough to send along an extra pair of white laces with aqua tips just in case the aqua laces seemed too over the top. I hate to ask any favors but could you let me know if Dansko ever decides to discontinue this style/size or if they are ever on sale. Good job!

The best shoes ever for me are Danskos. During my years of employments as a furniture sales associate, only Dansko provided the proper support for my feet. I could stand on the concrete floor the entire day without discomfort. In fact not once did my feet ever show any sign of being tired nor my legs. At night after my shift I felt just wonderful. No pain, no aches, nothing. Even though I am a diabetic. This has truly been the proper fit for me. I have tried many other shoes before I was introduced to Dansko. None of them could measure up. Even all the nurses in doctor's offices and hospitals are wearing them, including physicians and especially podiatrists. I always come back to Dansko shoes for any occasion. They have the proper support and align the entire structure of the body. Which is the most important thing of all. Anything else does not measure up. Thank you, Dansko. Keep up the good work and do not change anything just to make them cheaper. People expect only the best, and they are getting their money's worth.

This shoe is styled very nicely for casual wear. It has great support around the foot and decent arch support. It is not soft supportive like an athletic shoe so I do not wear it for exercise; rather I use it as an everyday shoe. I have hallux rigidus and this shoe does have a good bit of bend in the toe box, and this condition also means the area around the front foot is relatively tight for me. I also have plantar fasciitis and the rigidness of the back foot is good. I find it fit a little loose in the heel. I do have orthopedic inserts which changes the fit somewhat. The laces are the elastic type, not tie type. I didn't notice that on the photos. I usually wear an 8 to 8.5 in shoes and this was a 39.

Love these! I was trying to buy a low-profile sneaker for running errands, but all the ones I tried were so uncomfortable - super narrow, little arch support, and no padding. So I turned to Dansko and I was not disappointed. This really looks like a casual sneaker - it's not big and bulky (I found the Dansko Sabrina to look like a Dansko trying to be a sneaker, while the Helen actually succeeds), and it's incredibly comfortable. I love it!

This is a very cute shoe with great comfort. However, there is literally no tread on the sole of the shoe. I fear that they will be slippery given the right conditions. I bought them for a trip to Europe but they won't be going. A big disappointment. If you want a secure sole, these are not the shoes for you.

I love these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box and are so lightweight and easy to wear. Got them in the taupe and I'm thinking about ordering them in black as well. I'm a true size 10 1/2 and ordered the 41. They fit perfectly. The only thing I'm unsure about is the elastic laces that come with the shoe. I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with the extra lace that is created when I tighten the shoe. Still, it has the advantage of making the shoe more comfortable as I don't get a tight lace crossing over any sensitive part of my foot. They are quickly becoming my "go-to" shoe for any time I need to put on shoes and socks. Since I live on the southeast coast, I only need actual shoes about 2 months out of the year. It's great to have found a pair that are comfortable and don't make me long for my sandals.

I'm a massage therapist and wanted a supportive, low profile, sporty shoe. I was able to use these right out of the box with no breaking in. On my longer days (5+ hours on my feet) I prefer to use a gel insert to add some extra arch and heal support. For shorter days they did great on their own. I use them with a light to med weight sock. I also like the elastic "lace" with "pinch cinch" versus having loose shoe laces. Very easy to get in and out of plus more professional, clean looking versus regular laces. Super comfortable. Easy to brush clean. My feet feel good!

I found these shoes were comfortable from the start. They fit well and are supportive for a work shift on your feet. The mesh is great and they are cool on my feet outside in the hot desert summer.

I own these Dansko Helens in 3 colors! They offer the stability & support I need for long walks, but don't look too clunky to wear with shorts or skinny pants. Very lightweight, cool colored laces too!

I have a hard time getting shoes to fit. I wear a size 11 - and sometimes bigger if the shoe does not run true to size. I got these in a 42 and they are amazingly comfortable. I will definitely buy more of this brand - and Zappos carries a good selection of them.

I found these shoes today and I could not be happier! After ordering and returning several other brands of very expensive shoes that are marketed as super comfy and supportive shoes for people with feet/ankle issues, these Dansko's felt like hitting the jackpot. They are super comfortable, extremely supportive, nice built in arch, and really cute/stylist too. I feel like buying an extra pair just in case they ever stop making them. I can not say enough good things about these shoes! And by the way...I have not been a huge fan of Dansko's in the past. I bought a pair of their clogs about ten years ago and they always felt too hard on the bottoms of my feet. But these are so soft. I could wear them all day every day. Thanks Dansko!

I normally wear a 10.5-11 wide. I had looked for a stylish athletic type shoe with no white on the sole. The Helen fit the bill perfectly.I have a dansko clog that is a size 42 and can wear them with socks. Ordered the Helen in 41 and 42. Could not get the 41 on at all and forced my foot into the 42, but could not stand up or walk in it. searched to see if this style comes in a wide width but could not find it. So disapointed. The style and colors are just what I have been searching for. will have to return both pairs, but know that Zappos will kindly take them back. As always, I love Zappos!

I have psoriatic arthritis and have a terrible time finding shoes that don't hurt my feet. I finally found that in the Helen by Dansko. I do have a little wider foot, and this one didn't come in a wide width, but even so, it feels so good. Good overall support, snug without hurting, and I wore the shoe right out of the box for the full day with no pain for the first time!! So pleased with this shoe. I might add that I am a retired nurse and used to wear the Dansko clogs all the time I was working. Best work shoe in the world. The fabric is sturdy, love the "bungee" cord shoestrings....with my arthritis, this is a Godsend. I feel like I can walk again....and that's a big thing! Thank you, Dansko, for making an excellent shoe. It is comfortable, stylish and overall a very good value.

I decided a change out of the typical New Balance was in order. Bought these in the size 9 since there were no half sizes. At first I was a bit disappointed that they felt a little long, but decided quickly that it was just fine. Wore them the next day to go grocery shopping and loved the arch support! Not having typical shoe laces is a bit of a pain because you can feel the tightness through the tongue which isn't very thick. Overall, loved these shoes and would purchase again. I chose these instead of the similar styled Merell that I can't seem to find on here now.

Love this shoe! I can actually wear Danskos all day long without pain, and be able to walk the next day. I'm on my 2nd pair and will be buying again!

AMAZING COMFORT. My first pair of DANSKOS but not my last. I wore a pair like these in a different color all over Europe an they are very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I was looking to replace the typical tennis shoe with the purpose of casual wear or for walking. This is a cute, light weight shoe. It was comfortable, but it somehow felt more like wearing a dress shoe. I wear 9 1/2 and ordered the 40, and it fit well.

My first pair of danskos and WOW I love them and I am online now looking for more. These shoes are so cute and I like the way they secure not normal laces but a pull thing. I put some extra suede protectant on them just to be sure they stay nice and white. I would get another pair but don't like the brown or black ones. Highly recommend. SUPER COMFY and cute to wear with skirts too. Worth every penny.

Bought these to replace my other pair of Dansko sneakers (several years old and wearing out). These feel great and now my feet, legs, and back don't hurt after standing and walking all day! I've tried a couple of other brands and Danskos fit me best!

One of the best purchases I've made. Comfortable straight out of the box; I have worn these almost every day since I purchased these one month ago. My plantar fasciitis feels good, I can be on my feet for hours, and I'm actually walking tons more because of these shoes. They make me feel weightless!

The are the best hospitality work shoes. I can stand on my feet all day in these. I needed all black, so I used a Black Sharpie on the white stripes. My feet are wide in front and narrow at the heels.

When I tried these on I did not want to take them off, they are so comfortable! I normally wear a size 12, but in Dansko, I need a size 43 (12.5-13). I have a narrow foot and these fit perfectly. I have an array of foot problems and Dansko lace-up shoes are my go-to. I'm disappointed that they seem to be making less shoes in size 43. I'm actually a little paranoid about it and am wondering if I should stockpile some of these.
