I'm size 6 on wider side. Purchased a 36 and 37, the 36 was painfully narrow which has never been an issue for me with Danskos, and 37 was still narrow and too long. Re-purchased same sizes from a different site to compare since Danskos vary so much between even same size shoe. 36 the best fit although still narrow, I loved them enough to have them stretched. Left shoe feels great, right may need to be re-stretched but I'm "getting there" with these shoes and after a few more of wears I know they will be great. Aside from the obvious width issue, overall comfort and heel height are spot on for a casual yet pulled together look.

A beautifully made boot by Dansko featuring a comfortable yet stylish heel height balanced by the platform so it's comfy. The nubuck suede leather feels like a great quality. Zipper entry. Slightly wide for a narrow foot - a thicker sock helps. Great bootie!

These shoes are fantastic. They are a beautiful color and on trend. I love that Dansko is making some really cool styles that are versatile without being obviously practical. My new favorite shoes! (I got a compliment on how awesome they were within the first 5 minutes of wearing them out, too!)

These shoes are insanely cute-- and I was so sad that they hurt my feet! I tried two different sizes, to no avail. The bottoms of my feet hurt when wearing them. I have several Dansko sandals that I love and are super comfy, but somehow the soles of these just hurt! I'm so sad, I really wanted to keep them!!

Very pretty shoe but the fit was way too narrow. I couldn't get my foot into it either. I've worn Danskos for years and know what European size I am,and these shoes are just not comfortable. Regretfully, I'm sending them back.

I'm a big Dansko fan. These are very comfortable and I like the leather but was disappointed with overall styling so am sending back. The high contrast between the sole and the black upper was even more pronounced in person (I think it would look better with a darker sole) and the heel appeared disproportionally small/narrow for the boot. I've worn a 38 forever in Dansko clogs and my heel slipped more than usual in these. They aren't much higher than the professional clog so I plan to return to that old faithful!

Really cute shoe. Very comfortable, great with any type of jeans, and probably skirts as well. Love them, love Zappos. I'm a size 8.5 so I ordered a 39. they were a little tight so I ordered a size 40 and they were better. Only problem is they are now treating the shoes with Scotchgard and this pair looks like it didn't have enough time to dry. Besides an overwhelming chemical smell I noticed there was a big, black mark on my ankle after I tried them on. I sent them back, love how easy Zappos makes things, but now I'm too worn out to try a third time.

These are very cool shoes but they are heavy, I felt like I was wearing weights on my feet. They also make my size 8 foot look even larger. Love the color though

I tried several other similar short boots and returned - finally - these are the ones! Excellent arch support, which was my main goal and was missing in other brands. The thing I had to get used to was that these fit like Dansko clogs - your heel will slide up and down some. Not for sprinting across O'Hare, but great for walking substantial distances, and standing all day. Once I got used to that feeling they are SO COMFORTABLE. I love them and once I can afford to will buy another pair in another color. I can tell they will last as long as all my other beloved Danskos. Wonderful shoes!

Love this little bootie! The taupe is so pretty and goes with everything, and the black is a great basic. I'm a 6 in U.S.-size shoes, but 36 in E.U. sizing. Have always worn 36 in Dansko and this boot is no different; the sizing feels the same as Dansko clogs. These are super comfortable, right out of the box, even for my wide feet!

I wore my Dansko Maria’s nearly everyday through the seasons for two years straight. Working on my feet for 8+ hours and commuting to work via bike these shoes carried me through the days. I had originally purchased a size up but exchanged for the 37s. They took a little less than a week to break in, and after that they became my most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. After two years there is so major wear on the inside and both zippers are broken. I am still questioning if I should just buy another pair or pay to get the zippers fixed... do not hesitate if you are thinking about this shoe.. just buy it! They look adorable with everything and keep feet dry even in the rain. I get compliments all the time.

This is the perfect shoe. This is my second pair of Maria’s. I’m already craving a third and forth pair. Comfortable all day, cute with every outfit. Like I said, perfect shoe!

Had high hopes for these booties as so many people rave about Danskos! I am in between sizes so ordered up as suggested and yes there is definitely wiggle room toward to toes but nothing thick socks couldn’t fix. Unfortunately, thick or thin socks made one foot super tight, and the other foot quite snug. My feet are not wide but not narrow either. So sad! Got these at a great sale price too.

Great. I ordered the wrong size at first and now love the one I have that fit. I’ve worn them 9 out of the last 10 days.

Love Dankso!!

I've been wearing this boot for about a month now and I just love it! It's very comfortable and the fit is exactly what I expected from Dankso - perfect. The taupe is a great color with every jean wash that I have. I've received many compliments on them and I'm seriously thinking about buying another pair in a different color. This is definitely my go-to boot this fall/winter. (:

I love this bootie! I have plantar fasciitis and I was surprised I could wear these boots all day. They look adorable with skinny jeans and tights! Ill probably get more colors!

Loved how these look, but they’re so wide, I walked right out of them. Wish they made something for narrow feet.

I wear a 9.5 shoe and ordered a size 40 - they are amazing. They are narrow - but so are my feet, so they fit me perfectly. They are very comfortable and I have gotten nothing but compliments on these boots since I got them. They look great with jeans, leggings, skirts... I highly recommend them!

I absolutely LOVE these boots. However, this is the second pair I've ordered that have arrived clearly used... I contacted Zappos after the first pair and they immediately refunded my money and suggested I donate the used pair. Great idea! I ordered another pair, they arrived the next day and to my dismay, these have also been worn. Boo. Not meant to be? Too bad, I really like these and they're SO comfy. Third time's the charm? I'm not sure I'm going to risk it.

Only 3 stars because sizing is so off for me. I wear 9.5 shoe so in between sizes for Dansko. In Dansko have been happy with 40 in clogs. These were huge in 40 I could walk out of them, went with 39 they arrived and they are very tight. Currently wearing around house and noticing they are starting to form to my feet and be more comfortable. Doing this after reviews I have read said to give them break in period, using thin socks.
