These were too long. I usually take a 9W, but my foot was slipping forward and the back strap was too long, so I've returned them and ordered 8 1/2 Wide. I hope they fit. They are a pretty shoe with a low heel height.

Did not like

didn't feel narrow at all. My foot slid right through. Must return.

I now own two pair of Cobb Hill shoes. They are very much on the high end of what I usually pay for shoes, but having developed chronic back pain, I find these shoes are the only ones that don’t exacerbate the problem. They provide excellent support and the small heel (as on the Aria and Abbot styles that I have) is even more comfortable that a flat for me. So I have decided the price is worth it. The Helen sandal however, did not work for me. It was much too wide and my foot slid so far forward my toes were over the front edge of the shoe. I cannot really say how they would compare in comfort to the other two I mentioned, as the fit was so poor I did not even walk around with them on. But it was a very well made shoe quality wise.

I own several pairs of Rockport Cobb Hill shoes and sandals, always well made and comfortable. These "Helen" sandals were at least a half size too small in length. I have short toes, so I always size down in sandals (don't like vacant space at the top of foot bed) and ordered the same size that I own in the "Hannah" style, but this one didn't fit and Zappos was out of the next size up, so back they went. Great customer service as usual, tho ;)

This scandal would be perfect if I were wearing it with socks. It has excellent arch support and is well-constructed. But there are many rough spots inside around the seams and I've not been able to wear it without getting blisters almost immediately. Thinking about bringing it to a shoemaker to get the insides smoothed out. It is as others noted cut fairly wide. My foot is slightly on the narrow side, but I usually wear mediums-- except with this she.

I thought these were very pretty, but unfortunately as soon as I put them on, they were uncomfortable. They were very scratchy against my skin. It was the stitching design on the top leather part that was abrasive against the top of my foot. The padding on the bottom was fine. I've always loved Rockports and their high quality. So I was rather surprised this one didn't work out for me.

These felt true to size and width, but, did not look good on my wide feet. A little too matronly for this old lady...

I really wanted to love this shoe, because it looks beautiful in the photos. However when it came (I ordered the brown), it looked nondescript on my foot. The heel was lower than expected. But the real problem was the front rubbed painfully against my toes. These shoes are being returned.

Cute shoe. I had high hopes. However I have a very high instep and my normal size is 10-10.5. 10 was too small- couldn't get it on. I had also ordered size 11 just in case. Was able to get them on and actually fit more like a 10.5. Sadly the leather hit my big toe just enough that it rubbed with minor walking around, and also rubbed at a point on the top of my foot. Had to send both pairs back.

These sandals seem to run wide. My feet slipped around in them a bit, even though I have a bunion on each foot which takes up more room. I felt they would be really sloppy once they'd been worn several times. Additionally, the leather at the toe cut into me. Consequently, I will be returning them.

I am a size 8.5-9 wide. I ordered 8.5 wide, on the smaller side and they were way too big. I returned them for an 8 wide, and they were still too big. I gave up and moved onto another shoe.

I have a narrow foot, and narrow in this shoe was too wide. It fit more like a medium width. The foot bed felt very comfortable so I believe I would have been well satisfied if it hadn't been too wide.

I normally wear AA in width , but the width for these shoes is N. They were way too wide allowing my foot to move forward over the edge of the footbed.

I loved these shoes, but if I tightened the strap to fit there was so much overlap that it looked ridiculous!

I would have loved these sandals but the back strap was too long. When I tried to fasten the strap there was only a tiny amount of Velcro holding it. The strap when the Velcro was where it should be extends beyond the shoe. I am disappointed they didn't work out but am returning.

Had to return these. The straps were very stiff, with edges and threading that would have chafed my feet within a couple hours of wear. Looks-wise, they were nice, aside from the velcro closure; I would have preferred a buckle or something else that wears better over time. As for size, they were slightly longer than expected, but still wearable. I also ordered wides, which were true-to-width.

I wanted to like this sandal, but the design of the shoe was less attractive in person than on the screen. When I put on the white sandal with those curlicues in the design, it looked less *romantic* and more *my grandmother.* Not to my taste. Padding was better than many thin soled sandals. I think most people would find it very comfortable. But it did run narrow and squeezed my wide foot. so it is going back.

RUNS WIDE

The shoe fit great. However, it’s more of a gold color than pewter.

I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a size smaller and a size narrower, for me that is a 8.5M. They fit perfect, a little tight but I expect that the leather will stretch. I will be sending them back however because the color of the TAN on my monitor looked like a rich brown color, but I received a dull tan color. I was hoping for the color I see on my screen. very disappointed.

Very cute shoes, but they seem to run very big. They have great arch support, but because the shoe feels big. Th arch support doesn’t really work. This means not a lot of support for the ankle and leg. Note that I sent back my regular size and ordered 1/2 size smaller. These shoes still seem pretty wide—and I have a fairly wide foot.

Sort of clunky. I chose to go with a different brand.

The Velcro strap kind of made it feel like old lady shoes.. I sent them back. Sad face

Usually I get a good fit from this brand, but the width on this narrow shoe was far closer to medium. Even with ball-of-foot cushions I couldn't make it right. So, sadly, I have to return these.
