Cute shoe but the heel cup seemed to be narrow, and my foot leaned out so that the edge bit into my skin a little bit. So I sent them back. I have a very narrow foot so I was surprised that it did not fit my foot well. It could have been more due to the shape of the back of the shoe instead of the narrowness.

Overall pleased with the style and fit. Arch support typical of most Naot's, pretty good while not as much cushioning as I'd like. Biggest issue was on the inside leather on both sides of each foot - there are pieces of leather that stick out just a bit and rub the foot!

Despite great color and style, this shoe is lacking Naot’s usual arch and metatarsal support, so returning them.

I ordered these in the cinnamon color leather in a size 40. The size and width were correct, and the toe area was comfortable, however the cinnamon color is much darker and redder than what it looks like in the photos. That was disappointing but the main reason I am returning them is that the strap hurts the top of my foot. I think that for $174 the leather strap should have a little bit of padding of some sort on the inside of the strap. Also the strap could be uncomfortable just because of where it was located on my foot? Naots are supposed to be comfort shoes and are quite pricey compared to other shoes. The strap was very uncomfortable compared to many lower priced shoes that I own or have owned in the past. I used to buy a lot more Naot shoes but I don't feel like they are focusing on comfort and the little details as much as they should for the price. I am ordering a pair of Romika sandals instead.

I loved the style of the shoe, and after reading reviews, I ordered up one size hoping they would work. Unfortunately, the sizing up made the Arataki too long and the toe box was not wide enough for my foot. I have had a problem with my foot and after an operation this past spring to correct the problem, I had hoped that I would be able to find shoes that fit but am still having problems. Zappos has been absolutely wonderful for this whole year of shipping shoes and me sending them back as I searched for something to wear. Thank you Zappos; you are an amazing company.

I often wonder what people are thinking when they say a shoe has excellent arch support....compared to what? Being barefoot? Believe me, this shoe has zero arch support! It is somewhat cute, yet matronly-looking but the quality of the workmanship is poor. The vamp of the right shoe was bigger than the left thus it gapped open in the forefoot.

Right shoe squeaks, very annoying.

Material was too shallow & tight , cut into top of foot. Cute shoes, colors are very attractive but could not wear. maybe in wide would have been better fit.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but unfortunately they are going back. I bought them for a trip to NYC where I will be walking a lot, so needed something comfortable and somewhat stylish. Overall they were fairly comfortable, perhaps a little low in the toe box so that it brushed the end of my big toe, but not so tight that it seemed like it would be a problem. I figured since they are leather that would stretch out upon wearing them. My biggest problem was with the ankle strap and Velcro close. The strap was kind of scratchy across the top of my foot, to where it seemed like after I wore them and walked for a little while the top of my foot would be uncomfortable. And I very much dislike the Velcro close that seems to be very popular on shoes these days! They are very clunky and unattractive. The strap doubles over to fasten, and it just isn't a good look. It may be okay on a very casual shoe, and on shoes for little kids, but on a casual/dressy shoe like this one it just does not work! Please, shoe manufacturers, please go back to using actual buckles on shoes! And the final straw with these shoes - they squeaked when I walked!

Sole is too flexible for these troubled feet which is a shame because they are great looking with a comfortable toebox and arch.

I'm trying to find a pair of shoes to take on a trip to Europe that look a little more dressy than trainers but still have some support for walking. I thought these might be good because they are almost a sandal but still have the closed toe. I am not a fan of Velcro and the strap just had too much. I did not feel that there was as much support as I expected. The color was good, not really green but fairly neutral. Thanks to Zappos they were easy to return.

I think that I will have to give up on Naot and this makes me sad as I love the styles. But too many times I have tried and the toe boxes are just too shallow for my aging feet (bunions, crossover toes, etc.)

For all the money these shoes cost I expected something special. Not so. I just didn't have the same experience so many other reviewers had. I wanted a neutral color, comfortable, sock-less summer walking shoe that was not a flat. I wanted a shoe that I could wear for travel or long days on my feet. I have worn these shoes maybe about 8 or 10 times. The innersoles are rough. The inside top of the shoe is rough. I had to rub that area with leather softener. I have purchased much cheaper leather shoes with softer leather. I have a slight supination and these shoes do not help to keep my feet in alignment because the sides of the heels are curved. I've twisted my ankle twice while walking in these shoes. The Arizona Tan is a lovely neutral color with a very subtle sheen, but the toes are scuffed already. I should have returned the shoes but I continued to wear to wear them thinking I would get to a point of comfort.

I ordered a 40 in seafoam and 41 grey glimmer. I am usually a 9, sometimes 9.5, and can sometimes wear a wide. The 40 was much too small. The 41 was OK, but a bit tight across the toe box. I did not care for the grey glimmer color, but the seafoam is lovely and neutral. I didn't like how either of them looked on my feet. Really wanted to like them. If your foot tends to narrower widths these would work well.

I have never had a Naot shoe that was so uncomfortable. I have about 8 pair and the fit on this was just not for me the way the toe box is designed it hurt the toes on the right side of right foot and on the left side of the left foot. then the area around the foot was way too big. I loved this shoe and have been looking at it for a while. SO disappointed.

I thought I would love these as much as I love the Matai (my favorite shoes) because they look similar but they're not. They're too low in the toe box and not as flattering on because they don't have the diagonal shape between the strap and front which makes your foot look slimmer. The Arataki made my feet look clunky. I would have returned them but I took them to a cobbler to raise the toe box and instead he widened the ball or the foot area which made the unwearable and unreturnable. These would be good on someone who does not need a high toe box.

These shoes are not for me. The overall length is too long and the width is too narrow. I found the leather to be too stiff, but soft. So I will be returning these shoes.

Had high hopes for this show as I love slingback and saddle like shoes with toe coverage. However, I did not like the unfinished leather inside the toe area. I probably should have assumed it would be unfinished due to the perforations. The really clincher for sending these back was the fact that they were squeaking.

Fit was fine and they look nice . . . but two things . . . they squeak which is really annoying and makes them sound cheap. Also, the leather is not covered on the inside which would be ok if you always go sockless, but I've had experiences with unlined shoes like this leaving dye marks on my hosiery. These are going back.

Was disappointed as I expected the color to be red, not reddish. I love the other pair I have of the same style.

Terrible support

I have narrows feet and they were too wide for my foot. Would be fine if you have wider feet. They were comfortable.

Lovely shoes, but sadly, did not work for me. My shoe size is 9 medium, but I would have needed to size up to get more length. I ordered this shoe in size 40 and decided not to exchange for size 41, because I thought it could be too long. The other problem I experienced with this style is the height of the toe box. While the width of the toe box was fine, my toes felt "smashed down" due to the lack of enough height in the toe box.

I needed comfortable closed toed shoes for work. I’ve worn Naot sandals in the past and was hopeful this style would fit the bill. The moss color was more blue than green, a color I had never seen before. The front toe piece was so long it just looked weird on my foot. This Naot was not for me.

I have severe pronation on my left foot. The arch support was insufficient for me.
