These were for my wife who has Overpronation. We are both seniors and my wife recently developed overpronation but these shoes are highly uncomfortable and nothing like the website describes. Even though we've already spent our money, my wife will not be able to wear them. I guess it's our loss, too bad for we the trusting consumer.

I tried to revise this order 10 MINUTES after I placed the order, and was denied a change. I had to wait until I received the shoes, print a return label, and send them back. To get the correct size sent to me, the shoes went way up in price. NOT HAPPY that I could not simply exchange the shoes at the price I ordered them at!!! I AM STILL WAITING ON A CREDIT!!!

I have 5 pairs of 813's (various ages and colors). The last 2 pairs I've tried do not have the same fit/size. Too big and I have sent back. I've asked New Balance about sizing but get no response. Been a good customer for probably 20 years and would appreciate an answer.

I returned the shoes because of very stiff, uncomfortable soles. I did not get my money back.

I don't like them. To rounded at toe. What I really wanted was 608 but you no longer make them. Why?

These shoes were the length and width of my size but overall the shoes are made like a man's shoe and were way too large for a woman's foot

These shoes are not attractive at all. Also the tongue seems long enough but isn't very wide. When laced up I can see my sock showing between the shoe and the edge of the tongue. Love that they have the roll bar but the cushioning is lacking. I don't think these would support my foot for my high intensity 4+ mile power walk each morning. They are going back.

I was disappointed when I opened the box.The smell was overpowering. Plastic! I will be returning them. I have been purchasing NB for as long as I can remember without any problems. Because you discontinued the 577's I don't know what to buy now.

I was sent shoes with laces and I wanted the velco kind. I sent them back expecting to get a refund. $27 was deducted from the price of the shoe. I never tried them on, it would be quite apparent if some opened the box to look at them. I wish it had been stated their wouldn't be a full refund if the shoe wasn't acceptable. Very disappointed with the service.

Was excited for a wide shoe that didn't smash my toes. The over all shoe was not good. The heel was way to big slipped, the insole was hard. I have bad feet and I need the softer insole. Nice try though. At least you didn't say it was an extra wide when it was really a B width.

Who ever heard of metal eyelets in the upper last two holes for shoelaces. Nothing like metal grinding into your ankles because you wear fotties in your shoes

Not sure who is responsible for New Balance shoe design, but the 813 was not comfortable for me. Also, I usually gravitate to shoe designs that offer 2A Narrow width. It seems as though the manufacturers/designers of New Balance are 'dropping the ball' for those of us who have narrow heel/narrow width shoes..

They hurt my feet. If there had been small pebbles in the house I probably would have felt every one of them.

I am returning this shoe because I feel it is defective in style and production. The top holes for the laces are set too far back so when the laces are tightened they tend to slip off the tongue and tighten on the ankle. The padding inside the heel of the left shoe is loose and pulls my sock into the shoe. The leather insert on the tongue makes it difficult to get one's fingers under the laces to tighten them. And they are so heavy. I was very disappointed because I have been wearing NB811 and NB812 for years and despite other poor reviews of the NB813 I was hoping I would like them as well.

If you're buying this shoe because you loved your New Balance WW812, don't waste your time! They are very different, even though NB is saying that it's the replacement for the WW812. First off, they're not as long as they used to be. I wore a 9 4E in the WW812. In the WW813 my toes are too close to the front of the toe, they feel claustrophobic. (Yes, I could get a size bigger but the arch would not longer be positioned correctly.) Second, the toe box area is much smaller. Even if I got the next size up, the toe box area is not as roomy it was in the WW812. Lastly, there’s just something that looks odd about them. I know you don’t know what it is that looks odd, just do. Instead of buying these, write New Balance and tell them to bring back our WW812. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!

The 813 runs a full size short. It doesn't have the good support that the 812 did. I have Morton's Neuroma and it made that worse. Didn't like the new look either.

I read the reviews. I ordered a half-size bigger than I wore in 811 as everyone said they were small, and they are WAY smaller than my 811s. How is a person supposed to find a fit if they mess with the sizing like this? It hurt my toes to even put them on. Also I couldn't believe they would be as clunky as people said but they ARE. Come on, New Balance, listen to your customers!

For years I wore the 800 series through the 811 style. This shoe has never been the same since the 811 was discontinued. I had to break down and get the 813 and it is horribly bulky. I actually stumble when wearing this show because of the bulk. Does anyone at New Balance realize this is a problem shoe? Would it be so difficult to bring back the 811? Over the years have seen multiple reviews asking for that return which I see now have been deleted from the website. I spent hours in the store trying to get a fit when I settled for the 813 and found nothing else that was a comfort fit for various reasons. I was so happy years ago when my doctor referred me to New Balance. Now it is just a problem for me once again to get a comfortable shoe. What a disappointment.
