My mother is an Alzheimer's patient. We couldn't bring her to be fitted for shoes the regular way- it was trial & error. The return process was seamless as we found the best fit.

I had to get a double wide due to painful arthritis in my right foot. This made my usual 7 a little too long, but i can not go to a 6 1/2 due to my orthotics.

I have had several pairs of this style shoe and love them for walking because they have the roll bar. I am 81 and love to garden and save my old pairs for working outside.

Very attractive shoes. I especially like this model because the logo isn't so obvious. I am of an age where I feel uncomfortable placing advertising on any part of my person. That said, New Balance shoes are the only ones I buy. They fit well and they last.

In Black (and having large feet), the shoes do look a little clownish, but I go for functionality over fashion anyway.
My personal fit varies between a 10.5 to an 11, usually wide, depending on how the shoes are made. These shoes are quite narrow, even just the regular wide option, so I would suggest going up in width when you first purchase. (Free shipping both ways is amazing!)
Overall, I’ve felt more stable walking in these shoes than any previous pair of New Balance I’ve worn. One of my ankles is constantly is constantly rolling and going out on me, and these have successfully prevented that from happening.

My wife's orthopedic doctor told her to only wear New Balance shoes after her foot surgery. She has loved them for years. She started wearing them when they were 811's then 812's now 813's

I have worn your 813 Walking Shoe for years, I'm not sure of the number it was a few years ago, but I still Love them. I one thing I miss is that it was all Leather, including the tongue. It is cheaper with the new tongue the shoe comes with now.

These shoes 7 EE are the first I haven't had to stretch before wearing. They are well cushioned and also help control my foot's tendency to roll outward. They work perfectly with my custom orthotic.

I have a left leg that is permanent straight and I broke my ankle on the same side and because of this, I tend to roll my foot to the outside. When I do roll my foot, I get pain in my ankle and my right knee. With the roll bar technology, I can walk with no pain.
