I like New Balance because they are one of the few that do extra wide shoes and are usually comfortable. I usually do somewhere between 10-15,000 steps a day at work and for walking shoes these just don't feel the best by the end of the day. Maybe due to arch support that I can spend more money on to feel better. Otherwise, the construction of this shoe is great. It looks like it can take what I throw it's way.

The shoe wasn't big enough to accommodate my medical insert. Had to return it.

Shoe fits and is comfortable. However, the look of the toe box is bulky and not what I expected.

I have been wearing New Balance shoes for 47 years and find that there is no better brand for me. The fit, cushioning, ankle-foot support, and look, have been great in the various models that I have purchsed. I expected the same qualities in the NB Walking shoe that I recently purchased, but I was disappointed that the upper surface of the shoe looked vinyl instead of leather, and with the plain, rounded toe area, this pair of walking shoes looks very cheap.

This is listed as a B width which I were but it is still a bit big for me. It is ok and I wear it. NB is the only tennis shoe that I can find in a B width.

I am used to purchasing the model 624 shoe in "B" narrow width. It appears the 624 style no longer can be purchased in narrow width very disappointing. Since I have Narrow feet New Balance has been my go to store for walking and training shoes. I had to purchase the 813 style found the toe box to be very wide and I don't care for the soles. Hopefully New balance will bring back the 624 in " B " width.

I have worn New Balance shoes for many years. I appreciate the brand, especially the shoes made in the United States.
I wear a US Men's size 16 X wide shoe. The problem with this model is the Velcro straps. Add one or make them wider. The straps on mine seem like they were made for a small woman's shoe.
Thanks for your time.

Honestly, I didn't like the style and returned to NB for a traditional shoe lace style.

Bought the 813 as it appeared to be more "Dress Looking" . It's definately not as good as the 577 if you have bad feet. Not worth the extra $15.00 either.

Loved everything about the new 813 shoes but they squeaked. Shoes arrived timely, the return was effortless and the credit came quickly.

I love new balance but these sneakers are narrow so if you have a wide foot be careful when ordering.

These are my every day shoe. Typically quite comfortable.
Size tends to run small for the range I shop. The new elastic retainers for the straps strike me as less durable and potential point of failure. Time will tell.

I've purchased these several times and they were always excellent until my latest brand new out of the box pair. Within a a few days the entire sole on both sneakers began to disintegrate and crumble off in chunks. Shoe Mall would not replace them. They were so new they even still had their paper stuffing!

This is a very comfortable shoe that provides decent arch support. It is also a very useful and good style as it doesn't quite look like a sport shoe, so I can use it for "business casual" at work without hurting my feet with hard leather shoes. My only reservation is its poor durability. I have had these shoes for 6 months and the soles are already very worn, especially in the heal. It's worth noting that I don't use it for sports activities and I don't wear it in wet weather.

This is my first pair of wider shoes (EE). I had to go with wider, as my feet have gotten wider as I've aged. (One of those things that they don't tell you about aging.) - Anyway, they fit well, but the styling with a blunt nose, makes them look wider than they should, and unattractive. A better designed nose (toe) that is less blunt would make this a more attractive shoe. I'll wear the shoes occasionally, but my "go to" pair of shoes will be the black leather Reeboks that I bought at the same time (at a lower price), and that have a much better look. (better designed)

First, I'd like to say that I've had a couple of different NB shoes. The "sneakers" always seemed to fit fine and were comfortable to wear. I purchased some Velcro strapped "work" shoes a while back that didn't fit, even though they were supposed to be extra wide, they just didn't have a high enough instep to fit my foot right. WELL, that is the case with these shoes. I have to have black per uniform requirements, so getting all black shoes is a must, but for some reason NB just doesn't design their "work" shoes the same way they design their "sneakers" and as a result, they don't fit right. Now, granted I may have an unusual foot shape, but I'm sure there are other people out there that have a high arch and instep that means that they need support in the arch and room to move in the instep and across the top of the foot. So it is for this reason that I'm giving only a 3 star review. I hope this helps others out there with similar foot shapes.

Have used shoes for years. Now a shoe arrives with flap not sewed and stuffing coning out.
Now faced with long period getting through by phone?

Hoped to but another pair of American made 'postal walkers' but unfortunately none in my size so I had to settle for inferior imported.

577 model is more comfortable for me. I think it is the lace up hole positions.
