The quality and finish of this shoe is excellent. I bought black and brown for work. I found the fit to be awkward, the toe box was high and bulb-like, compared to the ankle which felt tight. The soles are completely flat, so I found walking uncomfortable, stepping down with a jolt because there's no curve at the heel for a smooth stride. So I'm sending them back. Customer service is great, I'll have to look for a more sneaker-like shoe that I can wear to work, I have chronic back pain so I need a smooth walking shoe.

Way too big. I'm wearing New Balance right now in a size 13 and they fit perfectly. This New Balance in a 13 is at least a full size too big!

i take a 6e shoe and these are the ones recommended by by podiatrist. they are comfortable and help with the foot problems that i have.

I like the fit because I have a very wide foot and for the winter I wear socks. They look great and feel great. They are waterproof I’ve just got done using them. This pair of shoes grabbed the ice and snow better then my other shoes. They work well for me because I usually don’t have to go through heavy snow.

Great shoe for arch deficient feet.

I was very happy to find a 6E width in a size 7 men's shoe. Most only go down to an 8. I just wish they came in a size 6 since they are still a little too long for my foot and the heel is a little sloppy. I am a woman with very wide feet and short toes, so I need a wide roomy toe box like these have. Women's shoes are way too narrow for my feet. I initially tried a size 8 and they were way too long. I was glad to see that the 6E width remained true even in a smaller size. I like the lower heel height which provides for a more natural walking gait. The 928 style that I have been wearing has a higher heel and tends to put more pressure on the forefoot. I will have to break these in gradually since my calf muscles are shortened from wearing the 928s and similar styles. I have ordered another pair in black and am hoping to purchase another white size 7 6E when it is in stock again. The shoelaces are a little too short since I have to use the extra holes to try to snug the heel up. I like the fact that the side rear of the shoe is lower so it doesn't hit my ankle bones like the 928s do.

For someone who wears a size 11.5 with width 6E, this shoe is a godsend. There is plenty of room for my feet to move around. No blisters here!

Great support and cushion. On my feet all day loading trucks. These shoes made it possible to work all day and come home without tired, sore feet. No breaking in necessary; felt great from day one. Typical of New Balance brand.

Bought this same size as the 983's I have (4 years old) 11.5 but a 4E instead of 6E. My toes, especially Big, kept hitting the front of the shoe while walking. Looked fine. Ordered another pair of the 983s - they fit perfect.

Bought these shoes a week ago and have been able to walk 5-6 miles in them so far. They were comfortable right out of the box, which should be expected from walking/running shoes. The arch support is somewhat more substantial than the NB Leadvilles that they're replacing. The tongue is a little wonky where the top of the tongue is covered with the leather upper material. It's not uncomfortable, just a little odd seeming. Overall, seems like a good quality shoe that I expect will provide several months of comfortable walking service.

Fits well and is comfortable. So nice to be able to order 6E shoes by different manufacturers to understand the differences in fit. The New Balance works great for very wide feet.

Unfortunately, I was attempting to replace an old pair of Brooks, saw these NB for less than $80, and thought I would save some money. After all, they were NB, a great shoe with a great reputation. They are good shoes and worth the money, but no even close to the support and comfort of the Brooks shoe. Then again, the Brooks shoe is $120.00. So, if you are content with the comfort and support of the NB shoe, do not try the Brooks, and save the difference in price. Unfortunately, I prefer the Books, by far. Then again, I not only require a wide shoe, but also have flat feet. For me, these do not do the job.

I was hoping for a better looking style and comfort. I will wear them, but order another pair of my ole stand-by the 623. The 813 does not provide the support for my feet, knees, and hips the the 623 provides.

Toe box not tall enough which makes the whole shoe not fit and my toes hurt.

Once I got my foot in the shoe, it was very tight(6E) and extremely uncomfortable. The length(15) was fine, but it really hurt my foot across the top where the tongue ends. I am returning.
