The shoes feel fine, although they seem to run narrow. I was wearing a 4E in the 928 line and had to go to a 6E in these. Even in the larger size, the tongue does not cover the entire gap where I lace them up, so I end up with sock showing through. This was not a problem with the 928s. So I look like a dork, but at least the shoes are comfortable.

These shoes are substantially narrower than sized. I've been wearing a 14 4E in another New Balance shoe with no problem. The 14 4E in this shoe was definitely tight across the toe box, but the worst part was that the tongue would not even cover the top of my foot, leaving sock poking through on one or both sides. I returned them and will try the 6E.

The comfort is something between a casual shoe and a walking shoe. I would be pretty foot sore if I were to walk any great distance, in these because of the lack of padding/contour in ball area near the toe. Though not my primary complaint, I found the arch support to be somewhat excessive.

The quality of the New Balance Shoes has been decreasing from year to year. Prior versions of the MW813 (MW810,811,812) were more comfortable. Perhaps New Balance has been making to the shoe design and materials to reduce costs.

The show is fairly comfortable. Felt a little wider than the size suggested. I'm on my feet all day and my calves would be sore from standing in these shoes. As for appearance, they are not styled for younger individuals (under 75).

Zappos did what they said they would do by getting my shoes to me in a timely manner. As far as NB is concern still upset at them for moving the production of the 812 overseas to Thailand. The 813 is not the same quality as the 812 was. I have worn this style for about 15 yrs with no problems. Well we will see how they holdup beinging worn everday.

My husband wanted some tennis shoes that were all leather since sparks from the fire pit burn holes in the fabric shoes. He also wanted dark so they wouldn't look dirty from doing chores. The shoes meet all those requirements, but they sure look like old man shoes.

Even though I purchased the narrow width, the shoe looks wide. Also, the top front section had a fold after tying the shoe (too much material?).

I have a hard time finding sneakers to fit. I wear a men's 8½ 6E. I am a woman who has had wide feet for years because I wore sneakers to much. These sneakers are not bad looking, but definitely are more narrow than marked. They have stretched a little but then I realized that there was something in the material in the left shoe that really bothers my foot. It was too late to send them back and it constantly rubs on top of my foot. It is in the material and there is no way to get it out. Defect in the sneaker that did not bother me right away. But it really hurt after a few days. I am not sure if I would recommend these or not. Zappos is a good company that gave me free overnight shipping. I would definitely purchase from them again.

This style of New Balance's 6E width did not fit. My foot is more thick than wide so the top part of the shoe expanded wider than the tongue. Returned shoe.

Substantial sole with out the bulk. Roomy toe box. A little loose in the heel. Pretty comfortable overall. Ending up going with Dunham Lexington over these.

I CAN NOT WEAR THEM AT ALL! WAY TO TIGHT, CAN NOT GET MY FEET IN THEM WITHOUT HURTING!

Can't answer above questions but had to answer anyway to submit this review! This is the type of New Balance shoe my husband likes and this style doesn't seem to be carried in the stores so we ordered from Zappos. Sadly we were sent an 11 1/2 Wide instead of the size 13 wide that we ordered. We are going to order another pair and hope they get it right in the warehouse this time! These walkers were, at first, exactly what I wanted: a comfy pair of shoes that look enough like oxfords that I could wear to work in a business casual environment. But after only three or so months, they are already too loose in the heel. I would not recommend these, unfortunately. I can't be spending this much for shoes that only last a few months.

I've been ordering from zappos Rockport models K71098 and apm35517 for years. now both unavailable. i wear a wide width (w or ee) so brands of walking shoes is extremely limited. So i ordered new balance (their ee) with no other choice. These are the most UN-stylish shoes I've ever put on my foot, These look like square blocks of cement on my feet and they run smaller than led to believe by labeled size and width. sending back.

ordered these shoes for my husband, the heels are peeling back and ripping off the shoe. not very happy just purchased these in February. The past 2 orders did not meet our expectations.

Just like other New Balance shoes lately the sizing is wrong. The length seems OK but it is far narrower than a 4E and the toebox is tighter than an SL2 should be The 928 has been a disaster and I had previously bought the 926 and 927 and liked them. I don't know what has happened to New Balance but they have gone straight down the tubes. A shame

Returning this shoe. Previously loved the style MW811 and MW812 was ok.The MW813 are no way even close to being the same shoe. This shoe is even a size too long. Going to have to look for a different shoe company. Previous shoes were at least assembled in US

I am giving these shoes as fair a review as I can. It is one of the few makes/models that can handle my size - Men's 14 4E. I wanted the same make/model I had before, MW812, but that seems to no longer be in production. I bought MW813, paid more than on previous styles. I expected an upgrade, and I was wrong. The quality of the material is much cheaper. I have had the shoes for a couple of weeks, and it already looks a few months old. The top and sides of the shoe bend easily and stay bent. I am thoroughly disappointed. Whenever I need new shoes, if this is my only option for walking shoes from New Balance, I will find another brand to go with.

These are great looking and comfortable. Problem with wide shoe design though, the tongue is way too narrow and shows sock through the top of the shoe. That is disappointing.

Horrible. These shoes are stiff and don't flex well. The back keeps pulling out of my heel. I wore them for 2 days. Too late to return. Another shoe for the garbage.
