I bought these pants for horseback riding in Florida's hot humid summers with occasional rain showers. I bought them in 3 of the 4 colors available. They run a little large, because of the elastic in the fabric you could possibly go one size smaller. They are cool and quick drying. They do have a tendency to pill, I think from the elastic in the fabric. I would love to see Columbia come out with the same design in the 100% nylon ripstop.

Comfortable pants for hiking - love the boot cut and stretch. I've also worn them kayaking for the sun protection. The material doesn't feel super study but I bought my first pair 2 years ago and they are still in great shape. I wear mine camping all the time and they would be great for travel. They stretch out a bit throughout the day but with the drawstring waist it isn't a big deal. I also have 2 pairs of these in capris that I wear all the time!!

I have this same style in the long shorts, capris, and now the pants. I love the Omni-tech fabric - it truly is a wonder of wearability and comfort. It's stretchy and light, dries fast, and handles a variety of temperatures. I already have the shorts & capris, and I was surprised at how snug these are on my thighs (the others aren't cut this way), but they do stretch a little with wear, and it's become a non-issue. My real complaint is this - and it's the reason for the loss of star - why are the pockets so shallow?! They aren't on the shorts or capris - yet the pockets on these aren't quite deep enough to hold my iPhone 6. I'm so intensely frustrated by how difficult it is to find women's clothing - even travel/adventure clothing - with proper pockets. Columbia - please offer the same excellent pockets you put in men's pants in women's (including plus!) pants. I'm not taking my purse hiking.

I have absolutely loved these pants... Buying them in another colour BUT they do get a to be of pilling all over them. They fit nicely and flatter the legs and dry super fast. Great for hiking!

I purchased these in a 20W and 22W in black. They both fit well, I'm a curvy type, 5'8" and the length and boot cut really flatter my figure. They are comfortable enough to wear in every season and can go from work to sports to bed. I love to travel in them. They do stretch out after wearing awhile, so I like the 20W best because of that (it does hug me like "active" fit should, but the 22W is great for layering. The tie in the waistband is essential, but could be a tad thicker for holding up the pants when they stretch. In summer the material can be clingy when it's hot, especially between my inner thighs, but I'll wear some bike short briefs and solve this problem. I tried the tusk color but it shows too much. Also great flexibility for when I'm kayaking or hiking.

I've been looking for some hiking pants that had a flexible fit and these did the trick. I'm curvy in the hips and needed a pant that didn't ride or rub. They have just enough give and don't ride up where they shouldn't. I'm 5'10 and the regular length is plenty long ... and the boot cut is super flattering. I loved my first pair so much, had to purchase a second. Highly recommend.

If you hate sweat & yoga pants you will love these! Thin, stretchy, but not clingy fabric. I love to pack them for trips. They do loosen a bit while wearing. Wish they had a light web belt instead of drawstring. More colors needed too!

I bought 2 pairs of these for an upcoming nature trip. I did not realize that boot cut flared so much, and I am 5'7", couldn't believe how long they were. Instead of returning, I had them tailored (flare be gone & shortened) because I do believe they will work well for my trip.

I ordered these pants, reluctantly b/c often plus size clothes run small--in my experience. These ran true to size, fit comfortably and did not stretch after wearing for some time. I wore them on a long uphill hike and they were great. The only reason I didn't give these a 5 star is b/c I think a side pocket rather than a back (wallet type) pocket would be better--for women's pants.

The pants are true to size. Some of the other reviews said they could wear them as dress pants. I found the pants to be to outdoorsy. The pants make a little "swishy" noise when I walk so I returned them.

These pants are lightweight and fit fabulous. I am a curvy girl and these fit me in my typical size. I am tall and they are long enough, which is great. I originally sized up based on reviews, they were way too big and I had to return them for my size. I love to follow review advice, but the feedback on these was not correct.

I bought these pants hoping they would work well for travel. I very much like the stretch fabric and the construction seems good. However, I am sending them back because the pockets are so shallow and there are no belt loops. Please give us some light weight, stretchy(four way would be best) with an adequate number of deep pockets and a regular waist band with belt loops.

Nice pants but too small for me. The quality was good but the fit wasn't.

I love Columbia clothes and wear them on my world travels. I didn't like the boot cut on these pants and returned them. They were very slim at the knee and flared out in the legs for the boot cut. I returned them and ordered a straight legged pair that I enjoy much more.

This pant is constructed well and stain proof. I looked in a full-lenth mirror and was dismayed because the hips and thighs are accentuated wearing these. I lift weights, ride bikes and do squats so my thighs are prominent and these pants accentuated them in a way I do not like. I am 5'7 and wear a 16. I have ordered the same material in the full leg and hopefully that will look better.

The fit in the hips is just a bit to small, while the legs are perfect (could be a body shape issue as well, other styles didn't have this issue), however, due to the fabric's stretch they don't feel tight at all...just some pulling at the pockets. Love the fabric, and with a tunic-style shirt I know I will get plenty of use out of them (once I hem the leangth since they don't have the drawstring feature of others of this type).

I returned this item because it is too short in the rise and in leg length for me (I'm 5' 11'). I kept the straight leg cut pants. The problem with the boot cut is that the wider bottom of the pants starts fairly high and looked ridiculous. If you are shorter, these would probably be fine. The rest of the fit was good (2X). Color was as shown.

I purchased the pants in my regular size. They were very loose around the waist and hips, and narrow at the knee. They pooched out at the lower hip creating a saddlebag look, and my posterior looked horrible. They are long, which is good. Guessing the inseam on the plus was around 32". I could order these pants in a smaller size to fit my waist, but I'd still have the hip, ugly butt, and tight knee issues.

smaller than the Capri version-I have this style in the Capri length from last year and this year, and the pants are one or two sizes smaller the same size in the Capri. That's really annoying. By the time I would like to order the larger size they were out of stock.if the sizing were consistent I'd be really happy with the pants.

The size seemed off they were loose at the waist and hips but tight in the legs. I ordered shorts in this kind and they fit fine? The material was not as nice (soft and durable) as some pants I ordered earlier this year!
