I have no words for how comfortable these pants are. I am thoroughly convinced they're made out of woven unicorn hair and sunshine.
In all seriousness, they're made out of a light, breathable but durable fabric, dry very quickly, don't hold odors and are very versatile, great for hiking as well as every day.

I have an athletic curvy shape through the hips, butt and thighs with a flat and trim waist so I have a hard time finding pants to fit correctly. These pants fit very well. I have hiked and golfed in them with no movement/gap/restriction issues. If you are straighter through the hips and thighs, I think they would work just as well. There is a drawstring for added adjustment with no gapping!

This is the second pair of these pants I have ordered. They are as advertised and are comfy travel pants and hiking pants. They run long in the length. They do stretch slightly when wearing. The pockets are shallow, so don't expect anything to stay in them!

I felt well put together traveling around England in these. I could be casual pairing them with a t-shirt or Columbia shirt (but still felt sharp and "non-slobby"). Or I could dress them up with a silk top and scarf. They dried quickly -- helpful in rain and when traveling light.
I'm pretty curvy and found the string at the waist helpful.

This is the first time I've been able to find hiking pants that fit me - size 20, 5'9", 222lb, apple shape. The pants are a bit long, even with hiking boots on, but otherwise perfect. Note, other manufacturers use itchy fabric which rub my legs raw. This material is soft.

I bought these for my trip to Iceland and they were perfect. I did size up for them just for my own comfort since I am normally a size 20. They were excellent and kept me dry in the rain.

I bought three pair for a two week trip to Iceland and was impressed with their ability to keep me warm in windy conditions yet not be hot when the weather turned warmer. They pack well, don't wrinkle and take up much less space than jeans or other pants would. One thing I have noticed is slight pilling on the thigh area but it's more annoying than anything and a pill remover takes care of it quite easily.

These are my favorite new pants and I plan to order more. They are casual enough to wear day to day but can pass as dressy, too. They fit amazing. I have a sizeable booty, hips and big muscular legs so I ordered a 20. I probably could wear a 18 but the 20 is comfy and not tight. They snap and have a draw string, They fit so nice. Worth every cent to me!! Columbia makes great quality and this is no exception.

Anytime outdoor bootcut pants are so lightweight that it is a pleasure to wear them on the hottest of days. I wear them to garden, camp, bike, hike or even as a dress pant. They really do look that great and are so comfy, stretching when I need it but never baggy.
I love that I can get wet with the hose when watering my flowers and in a few minutes the pants are dry and looking great again.
It is a wonderful pant for camping trips because I can wash them in a basin and they are dry in no time. If you want versatility, great fit and comfort in the lightest pants you can imagine; these are the best pants EVER! I have them in black and midnight and wish they came in a muted green color.

Love these pants. I love the light fabric and the boot cut to make them morph into a little more dressy when traveling.

As a plus-size outdoor enthusiast, these pants are a life-saver! It's tough to find a great pair and these fit the bill perfectly. Thank you, Columbia.

I now own three pairs of these Anytime Outdoor pants - in black (the originals, bought in Oct 2014), Nocturnal (sort of a medium denim color), and Bone (khaki/tan), bought earlier this year (2016). They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. They work well in my office job - we're a business-dress office, no jeans except for designated days. But I can also wear them on weekends, and do. For hiking, shopping, cleaning the house, whatever. They're water-resistant, but don't look shiny. They wrinkle while they're sitting in the laundry basket, but I hang them overnight, and they're ready to go. I'm a big girl, with a big bootie and VERY heavy legs. These pants fit very well, feel like YOGA PANTS, and look great. I seriously cannot say enough about them. I love them, and intend to buy lots more.

Great for us curvy girls! I am so happy to finally find "outdoor" clothing that fits and is comfortable, and looks great for every day too!
I am hourglass shaped, small waist, large hips/thighs. These pants fit very well - could be smaller in the waist, but the drawstring fixes that.
I wore these every day on our trip to Iceland, with thermals underneath & stayed dry and toasty.
We went caving one day, and it was much tougher than I expected (crawling over lava rocks, hands & knees, having to "butt scoot" over stuff). I just knew this thin soft material would be in shreds when done. However, there was only one teeny tiny pin hole, which you have to look for to see, which has not gotten bigger in spite of wearing them rest of the trip hiking, dog sledding, and much of the time since.
All the dust/water/ice just shed right off, and I wore them to dinner that night....
I'm getting more. And am going to try the capris/shorts for summer.

Love these pants for hiking. They are soft and stretchy for easy movement on the trail. I like the drawstring waist for the right fit. Boot cut is great for walking. They are the best pants I have ever found for hiking. I'm buying another pair and going to try the shorts as well. I'm wearing these in the Yosemite back country this summer!
I appreciate Columbia having hiking clothes in women's sizes.

So far, I absolutely love these pants. Bought them to wear for hiking in Smoky Mountains. Very comfortable, thinking about buying other colors to wear for work (they are that comfy)

After trying several different styles of Columbia pants, I choose this style because it fits me well, has deep enough pockets for my I-phone, is easy to launder and pack. Importantly, it does not have an elastic waist which I cannot wear. I like the snap-close traditional style. Light weight and no wrinkles! I plan to use then to travel to Africa and China.

I ordered a 2x I am normally a 18-20 and they were a little big which was nice because I can use those one for when I where thermals underneath. I stayed warm and dry and the pants were very comfortable and easy to hike in. I will be buying additional pairs.

Thank you Columbia for making an awesome product for us curvy girl outdoor enthusiasts! I was looking for ski pants for some spring snowshoeing. I get hot quickly and end up sweating and clawing off layers even in 10 F weather. I am a size 20 in jeans but ordered a 22 in these. I wanted to be able to wear them with thermals underneath and without. The 22 fits a little roomy on me without looking baggy. They look very flattering, stylish, and feel comfortable and light. This has been a "warm" winter but I think below 30 I will add thermals, but above that these pants alone will be great for me. They are so comfy even in wind and rain. Exceptional product.

I found these pants to be really comfortable. The draw string waist allowed me to tighten them up as they were a tad big in the waist. They are really lightweight which is excellent as I plan on taking them on a trip to South America in a few weeks time. I also like that they are quick to dry and have generous sized pockets ( fits my camera) . Very happy with this product.

Like these pants just wish they had some length options. I'm short (5'2") and have to hem most pants and these were no exception. Not a big deal and didn't stop me from ordering a second pair!

I received these pants yesterday in advance of a planned snowshoeing outing this weekend. Lucky for me, we got over a foot of snow yesterday so I got to test these puppies out. Despite the snow being well over the top of my boots, my legs stayed nice and dry.
These fit very nicely - I ordered 16W because I have a big butt and thighs and regular size 16 can be a bit tight depending on the cut, and I have found some Columbia clothes to be a bit smaller than expected. If anything, these are a little loose, but with the drawstring they are perfect. I can also wear my longjohns underneath if needed, which is nice - no need for separate winter/summer hiking pants.
Bonus: they are nice enough looking that I can wear them to work! I will be buying more colors soon.

Usually I wear 18W but I ordered 20W after reading the reviews. This pants are GREAT, confortable and light. The material is nice, good quality and fits me well. Before this pants, I bought a pair of columbia pants in size 18W-still brand new- I could wear them because they are too small and tight in my waist. This style is great. Nice if they design a couple more bags in the legs. I got this pants for my trip to Costa Rica next month. I should get other colors!
