I ordered this in a women's 7.5, and it was about a half inch to big; I ordered the 7, and it is 1 1/2 inches too big. When a shoe is that off, something is wrong. I almost want to order another 7. It's a nice shoe, but can't get the size to match--

Bought these with the intention of being my new hiking shoe. I wear a size 11, so I already have big feet, these just made them look bigger. Not as comfortable as other Merrells I've owned.

I'm a huge Zappos fan, and have been a customer for years. This is the first negative review I've had to write. I bought these shows specifically because it was stated that they were great for hiking/walking on wet surfaces. I live in Oregon, and put on between 45-50 miles a week here. The winters are wet, and it's been difficult to find a non slip shoe. I thought these would fit the bill, but sadly, no. They seem to almost have suction cups on the bottom, and we're very grippy on my wood floors. As soon as I hit the wet pavement outside, I slipped as badly as I have in my other shoes. Of course, once you wear them outside you can't return them, so I'm out of luck. Guess I'll keep them as an extra pair and continue looking for that elusive non slip running shoe. One other negative for these is that you really can't wear them without socks, as the inside top has lots of edges that aren't smooth and will rip up your feet. If you want a cushiony light shoe for dry weather, give these a try. Sorry Zappos!

I always wear size 11, and these were too short for me. Also, I expected a more comfortable foot bed, they just sort of felt flat, not much padding. They look cool though!

The "mesh" part of this shoe is so porous that I can't imagine walking in sand or dirt without getting a shoe full. The landscape is easily seen looking through both sides of the shoe. The heel has a lot of slippage.

I was looking for a lightweight hiker-ish shoe to wear on urban hikes, and for travel where my full-on hikers would be overkill. I wanted to like these so much. The good: they are nice looking and very light-weight. They look like the shoe I wanted. On the downside they have no functional value whatsoever. The mesh that is used all over the shoe is so open that you can see your sock color through it. Not that I care about that...but I do care that when I'm walking on wet, dewy grass that my feet will be soaked. I also care that when I'm walking on a dusty path that all of the dust will come in the shoe, go through my sock and leave my feet filthy -- not to mention wreck my pedicure. (!) Seriously...with this mesh these are more like water shoes for walking on rocks in streams. If I wanted shoes that let in dirt and water I wouldn't be looking at hikers/trail sport shoes. I mean Merrell, what ARE these shoes...if I wanted trail runners I'd buy running shoes. If I wanted shoes that weren't rugged, I'd buy shoes that didn't look rugged. I suggest you go back to drawing board on these.

I loved the fit, and would wear these for light hiking/around town, but two pairs in a row have had glue problems (at the same place: right shoe/forefoot).
The first pair presented the problem after 2 months, the second replacement pair after just a few weeks.

This sneaker looks better then the feel. I like to wear my sneakers with or without a sock. The material is ROUGH inside and out and feels as though my foot is in a screen. I can't imagine walking/running around in them all day without a bluster. I had a previous pair of Merrell's All out Rush that I had purchased from another store in my area and had them not even a year and the stitches were coming loose on the inner side and they took them back no questions asked. I loved the feel of the all out rush and was hoping all Merrell sneakers would feel the same but that was not the case with this style. Just disappointing.
