Great running shoes. This is my 3rd pair of Asics and they are amazing. Great support and very little shin pain. Love them!

My husband says these shoes are great. The gel soles are comfortable. He has been recommending them to the rest of the family.

I buy men's shoes because I find the toe box wider and more comfortable. I've been purchasing the Asics GEL-Nimbus shoes for years. I got the 17s to replace my treadmill shoes. These shoes provide excellent support and cushy comfort. Great shoe!

I was hoping this would run wider than the Kayano 21. I was reading the women's reviews. Ordered one pair for myself and the other for my nephew. Sorry they both were too short and too narrow. I also ordered a half size larger. Thank you Zappos for all the help.

This is my second pair of the Nimbus 17 so no surprises. I just wanted a back up for the pair of 17 that I ordered from you earlier this year. Unlike Chris, I had no seam problems and I am sorry to hear that this product fell short for him. I am totally immersed in the Nimbus line back to the 14 because of the overall comfort I have as I run different types of terrain out here. The shoes fit very well, do not feel narrow to me. Support is also a reliable, shoe after shoe. Another good deal from the Zappos crew. Thanks and five stars!

I have been exclusively running with Nike's since high school, mainly their "free" models for a more natural feel. I decided that I needed a shoe that had more support and long term comfort and a couple of my friends suggested Asics. Since I put them on the first time in store I haven't wanted to wear anything else even when I'm not running. These are my first pair of Asics and I plan on staying with this brand from now on.

This is third pair of Gel Nimbus that I have owned. The 17 is redesigned and still great neutral shoes. I have also worn neutral Brooks and Mizuno. The Nimbus have the best cushioning if you are looking to minimize heal impact. I also like the large choice of colors.

Perfect running shoes. No break in required. Felt amazing the second I put them on. Even more amazing, they arrived less than 24 hours after I placed my order with Zappos. Thanks Zappos!

I ordered these for my son. He had been walking and his feet and knees were hurting. He put these on and went for a 10 mile walk. He loves them. The gel provides a cushion and helps with knee or foot pain. He is ready to start running. The color is not too bright. The comfort level is a ten. Great shoes.

The GEL-Nimbus 17 is a great shoe. It is true to size and comfortable out of the box. It feels a little wider than the 16 and fits my foot well with the same great support. This is the best GEL-Nimbus yet.

I asked my son if he wanted to review his Asics and he said "Yeah, I love them!" He says he likes the way the footstrike feels (midfoot), and the fit is comfortable. He had the Nimbus 14s prior to these and he wore the souls right out of them until I forced him to buy a new pair. The 17s are just as great as the 14s. (He had tried the 15s or 16s and wasn't too keen on them.) He's already put several miles on these, and they're looking and feeling great.

These are excellent, high quality running shoes! The Nimbus 17 fit my feet better than the Nimbus 16. I think the 17 is more true to size. I had a problem with my toes being out of the toe box in the Nimbus 16, resulting in damage to the mesh above. I love the look and structural design of the Nimbus 17. I would recommend these shoes to anyone needing good support and superior quality.

These are very good running shoes that combine great cushioning and stability. I got my first pair a few years ago (size 12 EE - I have a wide foot) and just bought a new pair. I noticed the cut is a little different now and I had to go to size 12 EEEE to get the right fit.

I run maybe 10-15 miles per week, on the asphalt. I always buy Asics as my running shoes. Seems they're always changing the styles, I chose these as they seemed to be highly rated here, and they're in my price range. I've had these for 2 weeks now and I really like them. they're really snug- much more than my previous pair of Asics (similar model) and first trying them on I was disappointed by this - but now I see the snugness as a positive over my previous pair. They're comfortable. I'm really happy I bought these.

I had been running in Nimbus 15, size 12. Ordered Nimbus 17 in 12 and they felt tight in forefoot and length. Got 12.5 and feel fine.

Trying to replace my Asics GT2160 shoes that I've now worn out. I have a 10.5 foot, but normally take a 11.0 2E for my wide foot. The 2160 is the only shoe where my small toes aren't killing me. I went to 11.0 4E in this shoe. The fit very nice and light weight, but a little tighter then expected for a 4E. I do feel some rub on the big toe, not sure if this will be a problem in the future. Small toes aren't bothering me with the insoles removed. Normally replace the insole with a thin pad.

Within 2 weeks of wear, I had worn through the inside of the back and side of the shoe material. I use duct tape to go over the holes in the material because it is smooth. The new outside material is strong. It took longer wear holes through the toe and sides of the shoe. The shoe is a bit lighter than previous versions. Rubber durability is much less on the buttom of the shoe. I have easily worn through down to the gel. Having said all this, the shoe still does an excellent job of cushioning, though a bit less than previous versions. The shoe has a flatter feel and this helps eliminate chafing in the forward section. There is a piece of white plastic that runs across the side of the shoe. Asics customer service is non existant. My repeated attempts to get suggest product changes were met with mockery. It is also almost impossible to get these shoes ordered in Canada. This pair took a 3 month wait. I tried to order a second pair, and they were bot available here. A long distance wearer.

I love Asics, and I've been a fan for years. Sadly, after purchasing these new shoes, I strained my Achilles. I thought it was a fluke, and I rested for a week or so, but then when I got back on the road, I had to stop about mile 3 and walk the last two miles. When I got home, I noticed that the heal of the shoe was pushing on my Achilles and was creating a knot right where the heal of the shoe pushed into it.

Great shoe for me since I walk on the outside of my foot. The opposite of pronate. I believe it is called supernate. The gel prevents the shoe from compressing and exacerbating the problem in my gate. However the soles wear out too quickly. I wore mine out in 2 months walking about 15 miles a week. Additionally the achilles section of the shoe wore through because the material is not durable enough!

Flawed design. I returned these because they wore blisters on the tops of my big toes. Something about how the mesh on the tongue is sewn onto the shoe body creates spot that rubs and digs the seam into the top of the foot when the toe is bent. Did one run of 11 miles then cut the second day's run short at 7.5 and immediately contacted Zappos.

This is the seventh or eighth pair of Nimbus that I have bought. I have always worn a 12½, but these were extremely tight. My wife recently bought a pair of Asics as well and had the same problem, they ran about a half size too small. I am not sure if they have changed up manufacturers or what. We will see if the rest is the same once the 13 arrives.

These are too narrow in the heel. I wear a standard width in all other brands, but have tried three different Asics models and all three have been to narrow. I really wanted to give Asics a shot as I heard they are great in regards to foot health, however they just do not seem to fit my feet right. I guess I will have to stick with Nike for now.

I'm a big Asics fan and avid runner. This model has a flaw. there is an inner lining with tape at the proximal arch area that rubs on the foot causing discomfort. The upper material design is not supportive compared to Nimbus 16. Asics designed this shoe with fashion over function. Unhappy!

I love Asics and have run in them as my preferred shoe for years but that said the Nimbus 17 were a huge let down. These shoes were extremely comfortable and I loved them but after only 280 miles I have had to abandon them. The heel support did not last and the inner heel padding completely wore out. This is the first time I have been disappointed but cannot recommend these shoes.

I have worn the Gel-Nimbus since version 9 and always purchased a size 9.5. The series 17 is now larger at size 9.5 and does not fit. I compared it to the last two pairs I still have and this is larger. Beware on the sizing! I'm giving a 1 star as it no longer fits as expected.
