I am tall and thin with wider hips. Very hard to find pants. Super happy these fit. I bought 1 size larger for a looser fit.

This is my second pair of this style hiking pant. I love the versatility of zipping off the lower part of the pant making it into shorts. I wore my first pair last year in San Franciso while touring the city. I could have shorts when it was warmer and long pants when it cooled down. The zippered area can be a little tight when sitting down but I have learned to adjust for that. Still wish they would make that area looser.

I have a chunky (muffin-top) middle. I am between a 10 & 12 so ordered a 12. They fit Perfectly. I have rather large thighs and calves and some "straight leg" pants just do not fit. These do. They are snug but not skin tight. I can move in them and they are not baggy. I liked the cinching at the bottom. Nice deep pockets. May get another pair. They are comfortable for my less than perfect body type

Just wore these on a fishing trip out of Kona and they withstood water and blood from the fishing flopping around on the deck. The deckhand sprayed off my pants and it didn't even soak through.

These are my go-to hiking pants, as well as my favorite travel pants when I'm flying from someplace colder to someplace warm ~ just zip the legs off when you get there! They're comfortable (altho I order a size up since I've found they run a tad small), & they wear really well. I also love that they come in different lengths (the short works better for me with hiking boots), & a nice range of colors. Please don't ever change these ~ they're perfect! For reference, I'm 5'5"/120# & usually wear a size 6 pant.

These are great when you find your correct size. Wear 0 in jeans and 2 in these pants.

I ordered up a size as many other reviewers recommended and the larger size worked for me. I do think the pants are fairly comfortable for what they are. I needed some convertible pants for an upcoming trip because I won't have room in a carry-on for several pairs of pants and shorts. So these fit the bill. And I do like Columbia products in general.

Terrific pants & quality of fabric is outstanding! I usually wear size 10 & I have found in Columbia pants a 12 is perfect fit. Wash well & love the zip off feature to change pants to shorts! Really getting two pieces of clothing for one good price!

I was very pleased with these pants after wearing them several days on a hiking trip. I did order up a size, and they fit great. (I am 5'6" and 125 lbs, and I ordered a size 6.) They were very comfortable. The material is light, so on a cold day I wore leggings underneath for warmth. I look forward to being able to zip off the legs to convert to shorts in warmer weather! No complaints.

These pants fit just a bit snug but they have stretch in them so they are still good. I love the fit! They also wash up well and dry quickly.

I was very pleased with the ease of movement that these pants allow. Because they're stretchy one doesn't have to buy a larger size to be able to move around comfortably while hiking, which is the primary use for these pants for me. I like being able to zip off the lower leg to have shorts, especially to finish off a hike that starts out cool but ends warmer.

Thank you, Columbia, for having short sizing available, and especially for a short, curvy body. I got these convertibles in green/sage and another pair in khaki for our safari trip to Africa. Really nice on chilly morning game drives to have pants and then later in the day as it gets warmer to zip off the legs. Recommend these wholeheartedly.

I prefer pants with belt loops because they look a little more polished, and these look great and are also very functional. I love that they can turn into shorts. I am 5'2" and 115 pounds and the size 4 short fits well. When I sit down, the zippers don't chafe or bind me -- these pants are actually really comfortable. I've worn them on hikes, weekend jaunts around town and casual Fridays at the office.

These are outstanding hiking/outdoor activities. Wore the while kayaking, they dry extremely quickly. They are great for warm weather. I also think that they look good. I hate having to look and feel frumpy while camping, etc., but these are slimming, with just enough room around the ankle to lay normally over a hiking boot. I felt that I had a lot of room in the pants to move around, and no gapping at the waist. I am 4'10", 105 lbs and the 2P fit perfectly!

I have hiked all over California 20 years ago and never had the money to buy really good shorts. I finally got back into hiking at 48 years old and brought these with me to the Smokey mountains this past week. These are the best piece of clothing I had with me. They are comfy, weather resistant and breathable too. I am now in love with them I am going to wear them all the time. I need to get more colors. They are true to size and feel great on too.

Best travel pants ever. The material is very comfortable. It doesn't stick to the body even when worn in hot weather. The stretch makes it extremely comfortable. Have two of them. It is so difficult to find petite sizes in pants. Glad could find it here. This one is a winner.

So comfortable! Great for travel! Just wish you would have kept the soft inner lining around the inside of the waistband.

I am 5' 1" and weight about 125 lbs. I normally order size 6 petite / short size. Based on the review, it mention the thigh area is tight and suggest to order 1 size up. I order size 8 and fit perfect. The fabric stretch well and not bulky or hard to move around. I definitely recommend that.

The most functional , light weight must have Pant convertible I to shorts " must have"!! With out question or thought if you don't Have " Get"! If your not sure with all the choices This must be your first purchase then build Your Columbia wordrobe off of this first must have Piece.
