Pants are a size too small. I had to order a size up and return the original purchase.

These pants have a little stretch. Unfortunately no stretch on waistband. This makes a problem, u have to order 1 to 2 sizes larger because of mistake of Columbia.

I read the reviews and decided to order a size 6 even though I am a solid size 4. I was astounded that they were too small, and I had to order a size 8 that fits perfectly. Why can't they get the sizing right? What a waste of time for everyone involved in packaging and shipping. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the pants and the ease in exchanging them.

These pants run way small and have little give. I'd have to order 1 to 2 sizes up. Unfortunately, I will have to return.

I love everything about these pants except the tightness around the thigh where the zipper is. It is the only tight section and is annoying. Not sure I could do all day in the pants as a result. It's a shame everything else about them is just about perfect.

I have these pants in a size 10. I ordered a 12 to try roomier legs, and the new 12 fits exactly the same as my 10s! I will exchange for a 14 (crazy, I'm usually a 8-10) and hope it works. I agree with others that the leg at the zipper is way too small. The zipper digs when either sitting or going up stairs.

I really like the style of these pants and they fit everywhere except the zippered portion. Like another reviewer noted, it is far too tight. I could barely squat down at all let alone sit without them cutting into my thighs.

Quality product made out of a good durable material, but I'm glad I went up a size. My thighs are athletic so the zipper seam digs in when I am sitting down. I wish there could be a way to loosen that area or add elastic so it's not uncomfortable when sitting, but no such luck. Good thing I don't plan on sitting much in these pants. Overall they are flattering, have great pockets, and are comfortable when I am moving around.

I have the regular Saturday Trail pants, love them and was eager to order the convertible style-for the Colorado hikes with cold mornings and hot afternoons. Then I realized they don't have ankle zips, to allow you to pull the legs over hiking shoes. Seems like a big miss to have convertible pants that you can't pull off over your shoes. I'll skip 'em.

I wear a size 10 so after reviewing the the size chart I ordered a 8/10 but they were too tight so I had to reorder the 12 which are now a little too big. I can also feel where the zipper is on the inside of the pants on my leg which is a bit annoying. They are lightweight. I'm unsure as to if I should recommend these or not.

I originally ordered my normal size in pants, but those ended up being too tight in the waist and around the legs where the pants zip off into shorts. The length, though, was good because I am 5'10" and ordered a tall. So, I ordered the next size up in tall. The waist and length were fine, but the portion of the legs where you zip off the pants into shorts is too tight, so I'm having to return both pairs. I like the way they look, but having a tight fit around the leg zipper area is annoying. This would be an easy fix for Columbia to make since the areas above and below the leg zipper area fit fine.

They fit "off." Size 4 felt tight in the waist and legs, so I got a size 6. That size was a bit loose in the waist however I thought it would be OK. I went on an 8 mile hike and the waistline ended up being HUGE - guess it stretched out. I took them in myself and now the OK. they're OK. Columbia- get your sizing correct.

These pants look good on. I like the way they fit in the waist. I usually wear a 12 or 14. I went 14 and they fit perfectly until.... I sat down and the zipper pressed into my thighs. Unfortunately these pants will be relegated to hiking only. No good for canoe trips.

Love the fabric, but I ordered a 6 and it was too small so I ordered an 8 and it was still too tight to wear. I usually wear a 4 or 6 in other brands. So order at least 1-2 sizes larger and tall because they also are a little short. I really wanted to like these pants and keep them, but couldn't. If you have any curves these pants are not for you.

I have the size 2 in the Saturday trail pants but these convertible ones are very tight around the thighs and are hard to put on.

These didn't fit right. They were very bunchy in the crotch area. I returned them.

Knowing that Columbia bottom sizes run a bit small, I ordered a size up. These pants were still too small for me. I will be returning these. They are quality and I love that they're convertible, but they also aren't the most flattering shape. They are really tight at the waist and thigh, and flare out big at the bottom.

I really wanted these to work. They were the perfect color and the style I was after. I ordered one size up from my normal based on reviews, and they fit ok, but were a little large. My normal size would have been fine. The deal breaker was the zipper on the leg - the convertible part of the pant. It made the pant uncomfortable, and they had to go back.

The pants have a nice shape but if you have thick thighs these aren’t for you. They are too tight around the convertible zipper.

I thought that these pants were bulky around the knee zipper, however, they did feel lihht weight and comfortable.

I'm a true size 6 and these are Tight!!! I prefer hiking with pants that breathe so I need to size up. Otherwise these are the perfect pant. Breathable / great coverage and cute to boot.

I was really looking forward to owning these pants. I wear a size 8 across the board. I own the Trail II non-convertible pants and Trail II shorts as well, both size 8. I received these and I could hardly pull the shorts zipper past my knee! They fit everywhere else, so a size 10 would be way too big in the waist/hips. It would be great if Columbia could put the measurement of the zipper around the thigh in the size guide. If there were a more 'relaxed-fit' version where I could guarantee they would fit my thigh, I would buy them immediately.

these run very small will have to return :( also didn't like the length

I am 5'9", 145lbs, 28" waist, 40" hips, athletic build. I ordered the 6 long. The waist, hips and length fit great, material is comfortable, however I am returning due to the zipper fitting around my thigh. The waist band fit like a traditional pair of pants, not low rise or high waisted. The zipper was located 16.5" down from the top of the waist band. This part of my thigh measured 18 3/8". I could not even walk comfortably due to how tight the zipper was around my leg. Therefore, I couldn't bend, lift my legs or sit comfortably either. I would recommend this product for someone with thinner legs. Lol!

These were my dream pants with one major flaw. The zipper is so tight on my tight, I can hardly wear these. I have pretty small tights too, so this is unusual.
