Tried to buy my first Tevas in eleven years (my old beautiful leather and cork bed ones are finally breaking down) and was so disappointed: couldn't even latch the ankle strap over my foot at all. Not a problem with my current or previous Tevas and so disheartening I won't be trying any other styles.

The forefoot has a crease right across the ball of the foot that squeezes shut as you walk and punches your foot. A really odd design. Had to return them and will look for a different Teva style for my hike.

First off the fit of these are just weird but I thought maybe they stretch out after some use, but no still weird. Just wore them on a hike and they're quite literally the WORST shoes I've ever worn hiking. I was slipping everywhere, my feet were slipping out of them every time I stepped. Such a joke!! I ended up going barefoot on the way back because I was in so much pain. 0/10 don't recommend

These are great looking and fairly comfortable, but really do not last. I’ve had them for about 2 years, barely used them, and the straps are coming off (see photo). I would not recommend buying these, especially if you plan on using them a lot.

I ordered this over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived. It has been on back order. Was expecting shipment before Christmas, per a confirmation email.
Maybe when the item arrives I will be able to give it 5 stars.

The Verra sandal is narrower than other styles I have purchased and isn't comfortable. I am returning them. I love the Hurricane sandal--it is a great walking shoe and has ample foot/ankle support.

I purchased two pairs of Teva sandals because I love my old pair, but I'm so disappointed. I don't know who these sandals are made for. They are cut way too tight with not nearly enough room in the adjustable straps to loosen enough to be comfortable. And I don't have wide feet! I am returning this pair and previously had to return the Sirra sandals I bought. I hope my old pair (which are very similar to Sirra) last a few more summers. Recommend showing photos or video of your shoes on a person's foot. That gives a better idea of how a shoe will look on.

Don't buy these shoes! I bought them to replace a Ahnu sandals that had worn out. They looked quite similar but the strap design in poor. The foot base is soft, comfy, grips granite rocks and is perfect for in and out of water - just what I was looking for. However, the ankle straps are the weak point. The strap behind the ankle is too large and can't be adjusted and the front ankle strap sits at an odd angle - together the ankle straps force the foot too far back on the foot bed; this means the toes aren't secure in the front straps. Sometimes my toes slide out of the straps and the whole foot slides a lot. Additionally, the velco is poorly placed on the front ankle strap so taking the strap on and off is a pain. If feels like no one from Teva actually tried this design on for anything other than a 5 minute indoor walk. I hoped to use these sandals for my summer fun of hiking and swimming in steams and lakes but they don't work because my toes slide out the top. I also purchased another Teva sandal - Sirra - in the same size and I'm much happier with the Sirra design. But even the Sirra doesn't compare to my old Ahnu sandals. So overall I'm disappointed in Teva's design and would return them if I hadn't been wearing them since March.
I'd also recommend:
Chaco, Ahnu

I bought these last week and have since worn them twice on a lite trail. They gave me blisters on my pinky toes and the back of my heel. After my second trail, they are starting to tear on me. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality, given that this is a great brand.

This shoe has an ankle strap so poorly designed that one can hardly get a foot into the shoe. It has a tiny piece of strap that is w/o velcro -and the velcro won't go through the loop allowing easy adjustment.
By comparison my other Teva sandals, both new and older styles, have a generous space free of velcro, allowing one to insert a foot and then fasten the strap down snugly as desired.
Unless you have a AA narrow foot and no arch skip this shoe.
I'd also recommend:
naot, pikolino and maybe (after this experience) some tevas

I have been a customer since 1987: salmon Idaho...
Always loved my summer Tevas. But all four pairs had straps that were too loose, didn't have means to adjust correctly and/or were very poor quality!
I am returning them

The Velcro strap across the foot wouldn’t even reach to the Velcro. The sandal was the right length but the strap was SO short it wouldn’t fit across my foot. So short it wouldn’t even meet the Velcro!! Have worn Tevas for years and never had a fit like these. Returned them.

The straps cut into my feet and created blisters on my first rigorous walk. I had walked with them on short walks and thought they were fine after first getting them, but the purpose of buying them was to be able to do fast walks and hikes in hot weather as an alternate to sneakers. They are not the right shoe for anything more than a casual walk. Very disappointed, had to finish my workout barefoot since they were cutting my feet so bad. Terrible design for a hiking sandal. Not sure if I can return them but sure wish I could exchange them for something else.
I'd also recommend:
I had Chaco hiking sandals years ago that worked great, never had a problem

Yes, these are lightweight but the fit on both pairs of Teva's so the same thing. The heel slides to the back with 1 inch of shoe hanging out in the front. 8 Med is my size so it's not a size issue. It's a footbed issue. Also the straps are so long they hang out, over and up and the Velcro is not placed properly to secure the ankle and foot. I am so disappointed.

lessoned learned: just because this shoe fastens with velcro doesn't mean that it will adjust the width.

Second pair same Verra style. Ankle strap too long on first pair and way too short on second pair. Good thing I have a great shoe repair man. Teva customer service of absolutely no assistance.

Although I tried these shoes on in a store, I didn't realize how uncomfortable the ankle strap was until I walked around my home. I tried another style in a store and the same problem. They just hit my ankle in the wrong spot and I have never had this problem with other brands. Too bad as I was excited to get these shoes.

Cute style but terrible design! The grooves in the foot bed pinch the ball of your foot when you walk. Also the Velcro on the strap that goes over the front of your foot is too short leaving the strap dangling with only a small part attached. Also arch support and heel comfort is not good if you have plantar fasciitis. Overall, very disappointed.

I purchased these shoes for a camping excursion, spent the extra $15 on shipping to get them in time for my trip. When they arrived, I was surprised to find that they run a full size too big, but had no time to return/seek other options. I wore them on my trip solely for street walking and minimal river use. They fell apart, ripping at the seams and blistering my feet all in two day's time. Not the quality I expected from a brand I love.

I have purchased the style in the past and really enjoyed the comfort. This new sandal has a rise on the heel. This is a problem for my back. I thought I could get away with it since older version no longer available. I now regret keeping this. An expensive lesson.

This is the second pair of Tevas I've ordered from Zappo's that the website says are B - medium width but the box says are W and the fit is definitely way too wide.
