We bought these for both of our boys last summer, in a 12/13W and regular width 9. We ordered a 12W and 13W for our older boy and had planned to return what didn't fit thanks to Zappos awesome return policy. However, we have a long warm season and decided to keep both. The boys loved these shoes. They are comfortable and have good toe protection. My boys have beat these up. We have played at the beach and in the creek; At the zoo and hiking on the trail. The shoes stood up well to the abuse. There has been some fraying, but I would expect it. No smell! And easy to throw in the wash if they were just a little too nasty (Air dried). I would recommend these to anyone. I'm happy to see they have added another color as we intend to buy them again this summer. As others have stated, they run large, but with Zappos, returns are fast and easy. It seems kids shoe sizes are all over the place by brand, but, if it helps, the sizes are consistent with StrideRite sizing.

So far, so good. My son needs a wide width-this brand is the roomiest so far. My son is also very active and these shoes are holding up- no slipping or tripping. No odor issues.

Very comfortable and durable. Bought for both my boys. Other sandals we've tried have rubbed blisters, but these haven't given us any problems.

My son loves to wear these and they are very easy to get on/off. The wide width is perfect for his feet, too. My only complaint is that many ends of the stitching are poking out after a few wears and it makes them look cheap/poorly made, although I think it's just cosmetic.

Awesome! Our son has impossibly wide feet, but he loved these from the get go. Easy to put on and take off. Much less bulky than Keens. I ended up getting 2 pairs.

These are great sporty sandals! Thank you Merrell and Zappos for selling them in a wide width - finally a great option is available! They fit great, made of durable materials, and they will get a ton of use this summer!

This show was SOOO cute, but the strap would not close over my high arch. I'm an adult woman who wears a size 3 in girl's shoes.

My son wears this sandal all year round, I ordered the next size up from what he was wearing, but they do run very large

Actually I had to go up 1 size because putting on the size 1W wasn't easy and smooth. Then we we did get the shoe 1W on him, it looked tight. So we went up to size 2w.

The sandals are adorable and they look great on my son! However, he is usually a size 12 which I initially ordered but had to exchange for a size 11. Then when I tried the 11 in medium width on my son they left marks on his foot because they were to narrow. Now my son has slim feet so I was shocked to learn that these medium width sandals left deep imprinting on his feet. We are now trying the size 11 in wide width. Let's see if those work!

I read all the reviews before purchasing two pair of this shoe. One a size smaller (9) than my 3 y.o. son wears and the size he wears (10). The size 10 were enormous on him, so I'm returning them. The size 9 were just a little big for him- enough room for a little growth spurt over the summer. My son loves them and can't wait for it to get warm enough for him to wear them.

These are pretty good. I got the wide for my son, and compared to what wide usually is, these are not wide enough. Not enough adjustable to make up for the missing width. But they didn't get stinky as fast as other brands do, they dry fast and easy to clean. I washed them in the washing machine and they survived it very well and still look like new. The inside is soft enough to be comfortable. They also look good and fit well with a lot of styles.

These ran small and got stinky fast. Also my son got blisters which had never happened before.

Great shoes for my boy, BUT runs bigger 1 size, he is solid 5.5 and I bought 5, too big, I'll keep them for next year, need size 4.

My son immediately wanted these off his feet because of the texture inside the shoe. He said the bumpy texture inside felt terrible on his feet. I love the look of them and love Merrell hiking shoes myself, too bad they don't have a smooth comfortable inside for my little guy! Beware if your kids have sensory issues.
