These shoes hold up really well! My oldest outgrew the same shoe from one year ago and I noticed that they are still in excellent shape- he wore them almost all the time, everywhere! They are well worth the money.

My son wears these in a 13W. He definitely needed the extra width to comfortably accommodate his foot. I am really glad Merrell offers the option of a wide fit (I also have a daughter who wears this shoe in a wide Big Kid size). Other brands that offer similar styles are all too narrow and otherwise uncomfortable for my kids. We love Merrells. This is a fantastic all purpose shoe that serves as athletic shoe (nice because it does still have a closed toe), play shoe, and water shoe. Although my children have actually worn these out until the sole fell off, I would say they are well made and hold up nicely -- my children wear them pretty exclusively and really hard from spring through fall (and sometimes indoors in the winter) and we have always gotten a whole year of use out of them. Once they are wet, these shoes don't dry very fast. But that is not enough of a drawback to lower my rating of the shoe.

At first my 4 yo was not a fan of these because he said his feet got too hot, but now a couple months later these are one of his go-to shoes. Perfect for summer & super easy for him to put on himself.

Loved these shoes for my 3 year old, but returned them because they were cut too small.

I really wish half sizes were offered. The 9 is too small and I’m concerned the 10 will be too large.

These are really cool shoes for my five year old! I love how sturdy they are too!

The shoes ran about 2 sizes too big. But Zappos was crazy fast exchanging them for me! These sandals have been staples in our home the last 3 summers. I have 3 boys who are tough on their shoes. They’ve held up extremely well! I’ve bought off brands similar to these and my boys wear them out half way through the summer. But these last through a whole summer if not two!! These are worth every penny!!

This is a great sandal/shoe. I bought these for my older two boys and they love them. The opening is wide enough for them to be able to get their own foot in and out of the sandal. No pinching at the toes, no irritation at the heel - they are perfect. Has a very secure closure and dries quickly when wet. Great quality. If your kid has been blessed with a wider foot, the wide width works well! Will buy again next year!

These Merrell wides fit better than Keens for high instep, however the top strap still rubs & blisters. Hopefully feet will get used to these shoes.
