I've been wearing Chacos for ten years. The other reviews are correct. These are a bit larger so I went up one size. I tried on four other brands and came back to these because they adjust to my instep which seems to be unusually low. Thanks Zappos for letting me try on so many styles!

Really like this new lighter weight version of Chaco! So glad to find this hard to find color & size (definitely run smaller than unaweep or yampa! So I needed one size up!) @ Zappos! Hoping I can wear all day jury still out on comfort, but initial feel is awesome!

These are my first pair of Chacos so I'm likely not the best person for a comparative review. That being said, I love them! Friends had commented about the heavy weight of their Chacos and needing to wear them vs pack them in luggage when traveling so I made sure to look for a lightweight pair that would still enable me to hike in them. These were everything I was looking for! Additionally, I've been wearing them when walking my dog to "break them in" but, honestly, it isn't necessary at all. They have been comfortable from day 1 and I have not had any rubbing/blistering/negative adjustment to them at all. While my husband thinks they're horrendous looking, they are so function I just can't even care. I'm anywhere from a 9 - 10 but only the 10s were available and they work perfectly well.

I tried on several different Chaco styles before deciding on this one, because I was hesitant to go with the proprietary Eco sole over Vibram (the Vibram soled sandals are the only ones that Chaco will re-sole and re-strap under their extended warranty repair program). I noticed that all my raft guide friends have Vibram soles on their Chacos, but I found them too heavy and the arch support too aggressive. I prefer a lighter, more minimal shoe with less arch support, so I have some protection and cushioning from the ground but can rely on my own arch strength. The eco sole is great! Much lighter than its Vibram counterpart. I'm not on the river every day so I can't speak to their durability under those conditions, but they've been fantastic for 4 raft trips and daily wear around town and trail. I picked the Hop Scotch color, which is a gorgeous muted orange that complements fair skin. I agree with another reviewer who said the Orb color washed her out and made her look ashy. Thanks Zappos for your great shipping policy so I could try a few pairs, because even in Boulder, CO I could only find one style of women's Chacos and the soles of their different models are very different in weight and fit. I wear an 9 in most athletic shoes and boots, and the 9 fits perfectly.

If you have arch issues, ie flat feet or high arches, these should be the Chaco for you! I tried the Chaco Yampa and they gave my instep a warm time after about four hours! These worked great and no pain even after 9 hours of wearing!

Ordered my first pair of Chacos to have for vacation. Haven't went on Cruise but already love my Chacos! Zappos is the best! Fast service and delivery!

I absolutely love my Chacos! They gave me a blister or two breaking them in but I love them so much! They are true to size as well! I will definitely order through Zappos!

I have original Chacos from when they ere made in Colorado. They are great for adventures, but I never wore them much outside of that-just a little too rugged. I tried to get my daughter to try Chacos, but she never liked them. A friend even handed down to her a pair of the double strapped toe style and she hated them. She said they were heavy and the toe would strangle. However, she tried this new style in the store and loved them. I asked what the difference was and she said they felt so much better. These are significantly lighter and the arch is not as high. I thought I would stick to my originals, but these are so much better, I'm getting a pair as well. The hopscotch color is very flattering on the skin. Too bad my daughter beat me to it! I am going to try the diamond pattern.

I have worn Chaco sandals for many years. These are absolutely the most comfortable, best fitting Chacos ever! When I have gotten previous models with the toe hold, it would move as you walk until it would strangle your toe. That has not occurred with these. It has stayed right where I put it. They are also lighter and are just a more comfortable shoe than previously. The color is also fabulous.

Super comfy and actually kind of cute on, but slightly too big. Not big enough to go a size down though. Wish they had half sizes.

I thought my other Chacos were perfect until I tried the new Z/Volv X2. Wow. Lightweight, flexible, supportive, and cute. The toe straps, which I do like on my Chacos, are more comfortable than on my Yampa sandals. My feet are a little narrow, with arch problems and toe joint problems. I always struggle to maintain gait alignment with shoes and sandals but these are not struggle at all - stepping freely is heaven!

These shoes have a unique feel but I'm getting used to them. I typically wear a size 7 - 7.5 in shoes but I had to send the 7s back and go for the size 8 which fits perfectly. I'd say these run small. I love how the whole shoes are adjustable.

According to the "wet footprint" test (google it), I have very normal arches ...right in the middle ...not flat and not high. These sandals have absolutely NO arch support whatsoever. Even the classic Z Sandals seem to have reduced their arches compared to the ones I used to wear 10-20 or so years ago. The one thing that these have, though, that the "classics" don't is a lighter weight.

I bought these and some similar looking Teva’s to compare. The Teva’s won. The straps are not stretchy or adjustable so the shoe just felt clunky on me after spending five minutes trying to get my foot through all the strappings. They are so cute and I love the way the orange looks, but unfortunately just was too much of a hassle to get them on my feet, and felt clunky once I finally did.

I love them now that I’ve taken the time to adjust them to my feet. Now I never take them off! The key for me was to wear them fully loosened up until they felt right everywhere. Then I adjust the buckle snug.

Love the adjustability of the shoe. I have a narrow foot and was able to achieve a great fit.

i'm always an 8.5 and tried 8 based on reviews. footbed fit perfectly, but arch support and straps hit my foot in places where i thought i'd get blisters so i'm returning. Straps were just a little too tight - thought it would be a problem on hot days when my foot swells. footbed was comfortable though. if they had 8.5 i would keep them. definitely way cuter than most of these types of shoes.

Took some getting used to the straps but otherwise it’s good. Could use better arch support then it’d be perfect.

I got these in the Volcanic Blue and they are really cute, but I found the ZX2 Classic Athletic sole had slightly more support and the footbed had a little more give thus felt more comfortable immediately. This Volv X2 might break in, but I need more arch support since I tend to pronate. I also found the 12 actually looks like it's the right fit without any part of my foot hanging off, but the 11 actually felt more comfortable, so yes, the sizing is a bit odd. I have to tell you that you can buy multiple sizes from Amazon Prime Wardrobe without fronting the money- you only pay what you keep after 7 days. Here at Zappos, I had to put down over $400 to try 2 different arch styles in both 11 and 12.

Getting the straps adjusted the first time takes some time. I've worn them several times right out of the box for long walks on pavement and trails. Haven't had any issues with blisters or rubbing. Normally a 7.5 in ballet flats or regular shoes, but got an 8 in these. Fit great.

I bought these to replace my flip flops this summer while I'm pregnant. The arch support is amazing! I loved the design and look of sandal but did have to return as my feet are swollen and I needed a wider option with less straps. Found a different pair by Chacco and SUPER DUPER HAPPY. I love that they offer different widths. If you're active and on your feet a lot, the investment on this sandal is totally worth it.

I tried on all the styles in local stores to make my final decision and chose to buy from Zappos because they had the color I wanted. The footbed on this style is uber comfortable. Love it. My one star subtraction is for the piece that occasionally digs in my ankle bone depending how tight I have them so I have to keep them loose. I have flat feet and these offer exceptional support.

Having these sandals two summers now, I find they stay in my closet more than on my feet. While attractive once on, getting the straps adjusted to put them on each time becomes annoying. The trick is loosening the straps when I take them off, then cinching the straps around my foot for comfort is less pull-and-loosen--esp. around my big toe. The ribs in the foot bed are also annoying when my foot gets hot and sticks to said foot bed. Sometimes then loosening the straps helps, but it's not a feeling of "walking on air." Attractive sandal, good brand...but left wanting in the area of "old-shoe" feel.

These were purchased as camp shoes for my daughter. Camp was over weeks ago but she loves them so much she still wears them everyday. They dry quickly after wading thru water and do not irritate your feet while wet. Great support for light hiking too. Great summer shoe for just about everything outdoors. The double strap adjusts nicely and fits around the toe well (I've heard the triple strap is difficult around the toe).

This style was small on my normally size 10 foot. I ordered a few different styles and one of the others did work. I just thought it strange that the sizes would be different in the same company.
