This is a wonderful supportive shoe that my husband wears daily. So I bought him one for good and one for yard work.

These shoes arrived yesterday and we were very pleased with both the style and comfort. My husband can wear these both for dress and casual wear. The color black is perfect as you don't see many casual walking shoes in this color.

I just received these shoes. Tried them on. Very comfortable and light. Also like the looks of these shoes. Hope to enjoy them for a very long time. Shipping was very fast!

I love these shoes. I have Neuropathy and have a hard time finding something comfortable. These are well made and fit perfectly.

I bought this shoe to replace a pair of NB 1540's. To be honest, I almost didn't make the purchase due to the black laces shown in the picture. When they arrived, the shoes still had the black laces, but a pair of silver laces was also included...well done. The shoes are perfect...every bit as comfortable and useful as the 1540's. Well done Zappos.

These shoes so far meet all my needs, so much that I now have three pair which I rotate every three days.

Just recently I've gotten into New Balance because of my narrow feet. It's my 3rd pair of NB and the best fitting pair yet. I had to go up a size because they run a bit small, but the width is perfect so I don't have to cinch the laces down super tight to keep my feet from sliding side to side. And, they look better in person than in pictures.

This is a fabulous shoe for the person who over-pronates. That means your foot rolls inward at heel strike, and when left uncontrolled can lead to discomfort in many ways. We get just about a year of daily wear out of this shoe. Neutral color makes is look good with almost any outfit. Like all athletic shoes today it does run short, so go up a size and in a width for best fit. Love this shoe!

Seemed a little snug at first but felt better after 1 1/2 mile walk.

This is my second pair. These like the first pair are very comfortable. The only negative is that they are pricey at $180 including tax.

I bought New Balance 1123s for years until they were discontinued. After reading many reviews, I tried the NB 1540 which replaced the 1123s. i needed to increase the size and width from the 1123s. I wear orthotics in the shoes and the 1540s accommodate them. they have a large toe box which I need. They are a good replacement but I they wore out sooner than the 1123s. This is the second pair of 1540s I have purchased so I will see how long they last this time.

This is the first review I have written for anything, anywhere...ever. I do so not only because of the shoe but because of the over-the-top extraordinary customer-focused policies of Zappos. Let's start by letting you know that I HATE shoe shopping with a passion. Due to the nature of my feet (flat, bunions, severe over pronation) it is hard to find shoes that fit, feel good, and that I like (plus, like many, I don't have much time to spend shopping for anything much less shoes). So with Zappos I am able to get the shoe I need without all of the angst and frustration of shopping (not to mention the hovering sales persons at the stores). The amazing shoe I had been wearing for years NB1123 had been discontinued (that was a GREAT shoe!) so I had to start from scratch to find another shoe. With Zappos, I was able to order countless shoes and return them until I landed on this shoe. Each time I ordered and returned, I had no complaints from Zappos. Now on to the shoe. I have only worn them for a day but the toe box is big enough for my feet and I can definitely feel the support even without an orthotic in the shoes. I wear a women's 8.5-9 and after little success with women's shoes, a friend suggested I try men's as those shoes tend to have a wider toe box....making this change worked! I hope as I wear the shoes longer that I will continue to be impressed. If so, I will buy more before they discontinue or change this model. Thank you, Zappos, for everything!

I selected these shoes being diabetic, and wanted something light weight on my feet, a bit easier than the Merrell pair I also bought for hiking and trail activities. I wear men's sizes due to better width and fit for my large 12W women's size. These were very attractive looking. When I got them, I put my own insole in them, so I can't speak as to comfort with the normal one in there, and found them to be very comfortable and nice looking, and they did not weigh my feet down. The toe box doesn't really resemble the track style of tennis shoes I'm used to wearing, but it wasn't enough to deter from the look of the shoe overall. I also greatly appreciate that these are made in the USA, not easy to buy shoes where that is the case. I selected the silver/blue color and really like them.

Shoe was a little wider than expected but overall size was fine. Arch support was a little less than moderate making the shoe somewhat uncomfortable.
