Love these shoes. Taking them to wear on my vacation which will have considerable walking. Also absolutely love Zappos! They are the best.

I love these shoes. I walk 3 miles a day, have weird toes, along with wide feet, narrow heel. These give so much support and comfort, I would recommend these to anyone. The style finally got better with this color change! but due to the comfort, I would still give this a 5 star.

The round toe accommodates the shape of my feet. Depth and size of the shoe accommodates my prescription inserts. This shoe enables me to continue one hour "exercise to music" (dance) classes, 5 days per week without foot pain. In youth, I was a Ballet dancer. Now I'm an active 82 yr old with very wide feet due to bunions and osteoarthritis, who can thrive because of my New Balance shoes. Wish I could get this shape/size of shoes in a solid color to wear when I have to dress up. (It looks funny wearing running shoes to a wedding.)

I have bunions and overpronation. These are the most comfortable shies I have ever purchased.

I love my New Balance sneakers. I have purchased two pairs. One for the gym and one for outdoor activity. It was comfort right from the start....no "breaking in" time needed. Very happy with my purchase.

The width, depth and smooth interior means no pressure points on bunions and hammer toes. And that means I can go for hours with no pain ! Better than orthopedic shoes for cushioning and stability and definitely for looks :o) Thanks for keeping me mobile !

The new 1540v2 not such a good fit. The toe box is not as deep and could not accommodate my "crossover" big toe. I called, a very helpful young man was able to find a shoe that he is certain will fit better. My money gladly refunded. Thanks for the help.

Anyone with feet problem, plantar fasciitis, etc., will love these shoes. Excellent support, nice wide shoe with wide toe box, perfect for stability and motion. I've only worn them about a week, but they were great from the start. Costly, yes; but I need to walk pain free so I recommend these shoes!

New Balance have been my running and walking choices for well over 10yrs. They fit well, they are stylish, and they serve the purpose for which they were intended. Customer service has in the past and continues to be your strongest asset. They are professional, knowledgeable and patient with your aging clientele. Will I be a returning customer? ...you bet!

I am very pleased with these shoes. Love the new color. I purchased the Silver/Mint. Looks more like Teal. But I love teal. I tried another brand of shoes. I am so glad I came back to New Balance 1540.I have a job were I am on my feet a lot. These, also, help my foot problems ! I like the new colors of the 1540v2. I plan on buying some of the other colors !

I have problem feet and also back issues so it is really hard to find shoes that do nor hurt my feet but also support my back, and after spending hundreds of dollars on foot wear I can honestly say that these really do work for me. They support my hips and back and my feet feel great. Thanks, New Balance, and please do not stop making these.

Great shoe -- just as good as the previous version. New Balance should make all of its shoes in the U.S.

Made in the USA, with union labor, is important to me. So I was glad to see selected NB models in that category. The shoe is amazingly comfortable and holds the foot well. I'm using the shoes for walking exercise rather than running. I"m glad I got them!
I'd also recommend:
For me, made in USA is key!

I have difficult feet to fit but lucked into this comfortable, nice looking shoe. I plan to wear them on the golf course because the motion stability gives me great support.
I'd also recommend:
i tend to only wear New Balance for walking and sports.

I really like the shoe. Unfortunately, these not for people like me that have narrow heels. When I walked, the shoes slipped off my heels.
I'd also recommend:

I returned them. I ordered a half size up from my usual size, in wide. They were too small and too shallow for my foot. I don't have a particularly wide foot but I always order wide sizes in order to accommodate my "high volume" foot. My feet aren't thick width-wise, but they are thick height-wise and it's hard to find shoes that fit this problem and also provide stabilization for my moderate overpronation. They seemed great otherwise, they just weren't the right depth for my weird feet.

I have narrow heels, and when I walked, the heels slipped, and the shoes "bagged out" a bit.

These came ready to wear with no breaking-in time needed. I love the teal color. But the best part for me was finding a shoe with the roll bar. With my ankles turning out, it is a deal breaker. I hope New Balance comes out with new styles and color soon!

I've worn. New Balance running shoes since I bought a pair of NB 990s in Atlanta , GA in 1979 for the Peachtree 7/4 run In the past i've run in shoes from the 990, 1000, 1200, 1300, & 1500 series. The. 1540x2, made in USA, soles felt too hard when running 10 miles over two 5 mile runs on a paved road. I returned them and got NB 1080x9, which look good, but they also have a harder, less cushioned feel than the 2 year old NB 1080s that I'm wearing right now.

I mostly buy New Balance sneakers because they are the only sneakers with Roll Bars and the most comfortable. I only wish you made them in pretty colors and patterns. I also wish you made a wide width, light water shoe. I am a below the knee amputee and the shoes I have to use now are narrow and I have trouble walking with them. Just a suggestion.
