I loved these until the ripped after a cpl months (maybe 10 uses). They're pretty grippy, saved me from falling more than once. I do wish they stayed on better when walking in the snow. I can't tell you how many times I've had to turn around and follow my trail, digging through snow the entire way. And I'm not talking about deep snow either, that is understand. But despite that I still put them on when needed and they help. I'm just bummed that the rubber doesn't last longer. I think they should last more than 10 uses.

My daughter bought me a pair of yantras however I'm not too happy with them. I have had them for two and a half months and already the wee things are coming apart. I'm an 83 year old woman so you know I have not abused them, and so I thought I'd let you know I'm afraid to wear them outside. I live in Montana lots of snow and ice. Thank you

I was surprised to see the quality so diminished. My Previous purchase the treads was larger as was the rubber. Very disappointed.

I live in snowy, icy Northern Michigan and consider these to be essential, as our rural area does get plowed, but not salted, which creates a very slick surface. I love these and they have given me tons of confidence in walking my dog around on the ice, however, they have a significant flaw. The coils don't go far enough back toward the heel, leaving that heel area pretty vulnerable with just a couple of rubber strips to make contact with the ground. Twice now I've slipped and fallen when my heel goes out in front of me and doesn't stop. Both times I ended up landing directly on the opposite knee--really painful. I've taken care to stretch them as far back as possible, but when walking they slide back up toward the toe. This is a great concept and the coils really work well, they're just not placed adequately.

I bought a pair last winter, 10 months ago and this morning I went to put them on and one snapped in 2 places rendering them useless...a bit pricy for one seasons use though they were great when I was able to actually use them.

I still slip on ice - maybe I need a pair that has spikes. Also not easy to slip on/off.

They state this is for man's 9-11, and women's 10-12. I think this is wrong. Snow boots are big and bulky. They fit my boots, a women's size 9, but you had to pull and tug. Not easy in subzero weather. They did not fit my husband's mens 10 boots. These work, but order a size up!

I think these would be super if they stayed on my boots. They were also quite difficult to put on, so perhaps that's the reason. They tend to slip off. However, they are very gripping when they stay on!

I loved my Yaktrax - I'm a horse trainer who's out on the farm most of the time - until they broke, after only one month. They just don't seem like they're made strong enough to stand up to daily use.

In theory these are great as long as they stay in fantastic.. my challenge is I wear them hiking in the woods and I always seem to lose them. It would be great if there was a way to slip it on like a sock over your shoe so they can't move and don't fall off.

Wore it twice. No slips, but wire broke and end snagged carpet. Not durable.

They sort of work. Can't wear them on most tile floors, they have no traction, bought these hoping I wouldn't have to take them off all the time when out grocery shopping, etc. like the spiked ones. Have been wearing them daily to walk my dogs for about a month and mostly been ok. If you put your full weight on them on flat ice they work, but have felt slipping still on the ball of my foot and heel. The other night was walking home and had to trek over some uneven ice from a roof gutter drain and still fell with these on even though I was treading carefully. Donating and going back to spiked ones.

I received 2 pairs with the velcro strap for Christmas. On each pair one of the metal straps on bottom have broken. I now have one pair. They didn't last long!

Been waiting a long time for smalls to come in. Winter is passing me by.

I bought the yaktrax walk traction for a recent hike. The quality of the trax is very good BUT the insert recommends them for hiking, I do not. While putting them on, hold tight or they are like sling shots. After recovering the one that shot off I continued on my hike. The trail had icy rock and stumps that are easy missed and you can trip on caused one of the trax to sling shot off the back of my boot, never to be seen again. I didn't realize it was gone (you really can't feel them on which is a bonus) until I had not traction on one foot. I continued the hike relying on the remaining trax only to realize that at some point it had shot off too. I bought the size according to the chart but unfortunately they did not survive the hike. If you are going to be in ice and/snow. Spend the extra $$ and buy the yaktrax pro with the velcro strap. Happy hiking friends.

I have had these in years past and been very happy. My shoe size is 9. The pair i bought said it fit size 6.5-10. It fell off my boot after 2 blocks.

Got these for Christmas and the rubber broke in 2 places and a wire came off in another spot. POOR quality.

I have been using these for 2 weeks and one already broke

Used these worked well for about twenty times maybe twenty miles . Wires broke snagged things rubber broke , do not recommend. Returning them today!

I mainly use these when shoveling my driveway and sidewalk. My first pair lasted three years, but this pair broke on just the second use. It looks like the springs cut through the rubber on each one.

Both me and my wife bought a pair. We got three usages out of them before both snapped on the same walk. Hesitant to buy the Pros, might switch to another brand that doesn't break so easily

I got these to help with black ice, which they do, when they stay on. They tend to fall off, and now I've lost one. It's maybe the fourth time I've used them.

Provides no grip on hard ice, I could skate on the things.

These do provide extra traction but broke after two days. Not happy at all.

I barely had these (Item ID 08601) Yaktrax '12 Walk Small Black two weeks and the rubber on one of the heels broke so it keeps falling off. Also, they don't come with a velcro top strap that helps them stay on your shoe---for all that money, they should. Winter Trax brand does. Disappointed. Won't buy again.
