have never felt safer while walking on snow and ice. Easily slips right over your shoes or snow boots. An absolute must-have if you live in New England.

Last winter I broke my ankle by slipping and falling on ice. I love to be outside and was afraid to walk in the snow covered ice after my fall. A friend (who climbs mountains) recommended yaktrax to me so I could walk outside during the winter months. What great idea and incredible invention! I would recommend these to eveyone!

YakTrax make walking on ice and packed snow easy. Great for icy parking lots. They slip on easily. Who wants to fall? Not me, that's why I wear YakTrax. Also, can't beat Zappos service. I ordered these on a Thursday afternoon and had them Friday afternoon. Fabulous!

The YakTrax Walk are awesome! We had 16 inches of snow and freezing rain and I was able to get around without falling! Zappos provided excellent and fast service!

Every once in a while a product comes along that is pure genius with its simplicity...Yaktrax fits this description. Two years ago while walking my young lab pup I took a fall backward on the driveway that nearly knocked me unconscious. The next day I bought my first pair of Yaktrax to try out. What a great find! To this day, Zoey and me enjoy long, safe walks on hidden ice thanks to Yaktrax!

I've been using Yaktrax since about 2004. Each pair lasts 2-3 winters with daily use of 2-5 miles. They're easy to stretch on for most people (my elderly relatives understandably need assistance). The price is good and the value is fantastic. I pretty much won't go hiking with people who don't have Yaktrax since they'll get tired faster (slipping with each step is like walking through sand vs pavement) and fall a few times. Just try them!

I bought Yaktrax years ago, tried them on once, then stuffed them in my winter bag. Today an ice fog has created sheets of black ice on everything. Dug them out, put them on my winter boots and voila!! no more slipping. Ordering another pair for my husband right now.

These are truly amazing! My mom introduced me to them when I went to undergrad in upstate New York. I would not have made it through the icy winters without them. I continue to buy a new pair every year or two -- I have kneecaps that dislocate so ice gives me a fright, but they provide the traction and stability I need so I can walk across the icy ground with confidence.

Yes, the Yaktrax are helpful in ice, & we get plenty in Central PA. Be sure you stretch them to get them on tightly enough. One of mine came off, but I retrieved it. I am a woman with a size 7 medium width foot.

These are great on the ice and snow. Do not wear them on no icy surfaces. But great. Saved my butt numerous times!

Zappos is great. Received these in less than 24 hours. Great price. And these things made walking safely through my snowy, icy neighborhood possible all last winter. Love these things!

Love Yaktrax... easy to put on and fit well. Wish they had a strap like my previous ones as I had one fall off my boot the first time I wore it.

Easy to put on, easy to wear. These work very well in snow and ice, but can shift around your shoes when walking on pavement.

I recently purchased a pair of Quadtrek all-terrain Ice cleats, they are super affordable and the steel spikes are effective tools for walking on ice and snow. !!

I just bought my YakTrax a couple days ago, but wow, what a game changer for walking my dog. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan & we have snow, a lot of snow in the winter months. So when walking my dog I was so afraid of falling since I had my knee replacement, but these YakTrax make me feel so secure on my feet. I love this product.

I've depended on Yaktrax for years with pairs for various winter shoe wear. The wound spring style works better than the spikes on my Stabilicers in most situations, especially when stopping a sideways slide. But, I just cut up 2 Yaks last night (to reduce danger of wildlife entrapment after disposal), a single foot on 2 different pairs - a 'glow' and a black. On each, 2 of the rubber connecting points had snapped so they no longer laid flat on the bottom of my feet. So, I will use the 2 remaining halves as a pair until they 'blow out'. Will probably then buy another, but hoping that the rubber will be upgraded somehow to last longer.

We live in an area with lots of slippery ice, and without these I would take a fall several times a year. With these - traction is always good and I haven't fallen again. Only disadvantage is limited lifespan - approximately 20 miles of walking and they are on their last legs. Possibly I should be vigilant about rinsing salt off them.

I bought these and they do keep you safer on ice/snow. However, be careful when you walk on a regular tile/smooth surface. Don't wear them on any carpet. They can get snagged and this ruins them. Also, you have to sit down to put them on your shoes. So, check weather before you go out, or have a place to put them on.

I bought two pairs last winter one pair as a backup as they tend to wear out quickly when walking on a paved surface which in most cases is unavoidable.

Only complaint is the coils are bent and the rubber can let go when grabbed by ice/snow drifts. They worked great for an entire season making deliveries. They kept my feet under me. Will purchase these again.

I have not been able to use this sturdy product very often only b/c we are having a mild winter. However, the few times I have tested them out they do work very well. The product is sturdy and withstands stretching over the shoe well. I wear a size 8 shoe (womens) and a small YakTrax fits snugly on my boot. The only reason I rated a "good" is because I just have not been able to test them out to the fullest.

Received 1st pair more than a year ago. Reduced falls on ice/ snow from at least twice a week to zero! On my second pair now and won't go out on ice without them. Very likely to have saved me from a broken bone by now.

Great devices for much safer walking on snow and ice! I walk a mile to work on Pittsburgh sidewalks in the winter, which are challenging: some treacherous sidewalks of slippery ice and snow doom, and others (often direct neighbors) completely shoveled and salted sidewalks free of any snow and ice. Without the devices, it's a really dangerous and scary walk. I have slipped and fallen, and I see quite a few other walkers just walk in the middle of the street because sidewalks are so slippery with snow. However, with these awesome YakTrax, I love walking on the snow and ice, and I feel secure without fear of falls. The only unfortunate thing is that those previously-wonderful stretches of sidewalk that nice neighbors shoveled well, end up being hard on the YakTrax since the metal gets stressed from stepping directly on the sidewalk. Last winter I went through 2 pairs (the metal eventually breaks, and so does the rubber), but it was so worth it, and I'm going to buy 2 more pairs for walk-commuting next winter. (Hey, way cheaper than buying gas, car, and insurance!)

These work great for traction on packed snow and ice. The problem is the elastic components are way too thin and wear out and snap too easily. Would be a great product if the elastic parts were thicker.
