These were invaluable during a major string of storms in my area. They’re roomy enough to wear with wool socks. I really needed the style with the rear adjustable strap as my calves tend to be wider than average (buying wide boots usually makes the shaft too wide). Feet stayed dry and warm and they survived a good cleaning after getting a bit muddy. Definitely recommend.

I love the pair of boots. Although it was a size 11, It was difficult to take it off; at the back of the ankle area. I will have to grease the back of my ankle for a smooth take-off.

I love all Hunter boots but do have to buy them in the adjustable back option due to my calves being 15 inches so I can tuck tights or jeans into them. They are comfortable but don’t have any arch support so I add inserts. The rubber can discolor after being stored a year but can be cleaned up with the Hunter boot cleaner. I own a couple different colors in both the tall and short versions. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and the 8 fit in these.

Amazing!!! Super soft and comfortable. I have wide calf (about 16.5 in) and it is always hard to find a pair of boots that fit perfectly. With the adjustable buckle straps on the back, I have more room on the calf and the boots don't look ugly/weird even if the strap is not tightly fasten. I had another pair of Hunter before, and the shaft was about 15 in. This one is a bit taller, it goes up to right below my knee (I'm 5'6). I think this shaft height makes my legs look smaller and longer. I usually wear size 9 in flat, size 8 in UGG. I bought a size 8 for this pair and it fits perfectly.

I normally wear 8.5 but ordered size 9, it fits perfect with enough room for thick socks. Love that it adjust by calf area. Would recommend going half size up.

These are my favorite boots! If you have slightly wider calves I definitely recommend getting the adjustable backs...they are perfect!

Love these! Wore them the first time walking around Boston all day sightseeing on a rainy weekend. They were so comfortable! I would highly recommend! I typically wear a size 9 1/2 but, after reading the other reviews, I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfect.

I love Hunter boots for both practicality and style. This is my second pair so I knew that the size 5 is still a bit large for me (I am a reliable size 6 in American shoes) but with a thicker sock there is no problem. I definitely need the adjustable back as I have muscular legs from running and cycling and the non-adjustable version is too small by about a half of an inch in circumference. Hunter boots are so comfortable to wear for extended periods of time; I bought the sky blue color as something of a novelty but liked them so well I had to have them in black.

I love these boots. I plan on doing some volunteer work and part of that may be sloshing through wet fields so these will be perfect! Plus they look really nice and are comfortable. I'm small about 5'3" and 105 lbs so I have plenty of room around my calves but with the adjustable back I can tighten them if needed. Plus I wear a size 7 and they fit very well with room to wiggle my toes and wear thick socks if needed or thinner depending on the weather. I could also fit an extra foot support in it if I need to.

Nothing beats walking down the street in snow or pouring rain knowing you are the sharpest looking cat while sporting your Hunter Original Back Adjustable Boots! They are stylish and sassy and never fail to draw attention from jealous admirers. I am 5'4 and the boot comes slightly below my knee cap. The top of the boot will adjust to fit any gal from regular to extra wide calf. I wear a 9 in shoes and ordered a 9. I was apprehensive picking my true size after reading hundreds of reviews saying to size down. I am SO glad I didn't order an 8. The 9 fits perfect with just enough room to add my Ugg Shearling insole (also a size 9) for added warmth and comfort. I own a pair of Wellibob Joules that I did have to go a full size smaller when I purchased and did assume I may run into the same issue with Hunter but it simply is not the case. If you are looking for a boot that offers both protection from the elements while being fashionably fantastic? Pick your color, pick your size, add to your cart and hit "PLACE ORDER". Okay, regarding the fit... it's a boot! It fits loosely, but I wear a 10, ordered a 10, and it fits perfectly... for a boot. It's loose in the foot; not too long, but loose, and after inserting an insole, it's very comfortable. The shaft is the right height (I'm 5'7") and with a 15 1/2" calf, it's a good fit there also. With socks it will slide over pants nicely and I really like how the adjustment will grow and shrink as needed. The quality of the boot is excellent, and although it is a tad expensive, I decided to have one great pair instead of several others that don't hold up. So if you're considering the Hunter Adjustable boot, I'd recommend it. You won't be sorry.

Love them!!! I have large calves and these are great. I love my ugg boots but my husband hated them so I ordered these boot and fell in love with them. Its great to not worry about ruining them in wet conditions. I originally bought them in a size 10 because I normally wear a 9.5 but I had to return them for a size 9. The size 9 fits great and now my husband is happy too.

These fit great! I have been on a several year search for Hunter Boots that fit my healthy calfs. The search is over! These are great and super comfortable. They are a must for New York City!

These boots are super cute. I ordered a size 6 & i was swimming in them!

They fit well, however, the second time I wore them in the rain, both boots leaked! I had a pair for years and they finally wore out, so I replaced them with these. I am not happy with the quality of this pair of boots, made years later. I had to add some support in the foot bed to get a better fit and make the heel area more comfortable.

Absolutely the BEST in waterproof boots!

Purchased this as a gift to my daughter. She loved it. Exactly what we expected.

It is not that heavy boots. I really like them, I’ve been wearing them this winter when the weather is mild with the inserts socks and not below zero. So far so good. No leaks I’ve tried it in the rain and slushy snow.

I live in Arizona and have never needed a rain boot; but my son had a destination in Washington state, in a coastal forest in the Fall (rainy season). I came prepared! I bought these in a shiny navy to match my tea length semi-formal dress and got so many compliments! (After the ceremony, I switched into my heels for the indoor reception). I look forward to wearing these tucked into jeans this winter, and am praying we have another wet winter like last year. I will pull these out with every drop of rain I see as they are so dang adorable! Plus, I travel a lot and they will be perfect for those trips to wetter climes.

I received the wrong Hunter style tall boot. I ordered based on the image, but the boot I received did not have the calf extender. It was a no go for the man-calves.
