The boots came with a white powdery substance on them so they don't look very good. The size is too big also. I wear a 6 in most shoes, but a 6 1/2 in athletic shoes. I'll exchange for a 5 and hope there's no powder on them.

Boots fit just as expected. I ordered my normal size 7 and they felt a little big, which is what I expected since they are made to have room for liner inserts. Since its Spring, I just wore and extra pair of thick socks and they fit perfect. Very stylish for a rubber boot! I will definitely order some cute liners to go with them next winter!

I have been wanting a pair of these for awhile and I'm so glad I finally bought them. They are so cute on! I got the military red and they are gorgeous in person! As far as sizing.. I am pretty much a true 7 in most shoes. I can sometimes get away with a 6 1/2 in certain brands that tend to run larger but I almost always buy a 7. That being said, I originally bought these in a size 7 and the boots felt HUGE on my feet. My feet were literally flopping around inside the shoe. I tried a 6 on at a retail store before reordering on Zappos and they fit very well. Not too tight at all and I can even fit the boot socks on with them. Also, be warned.. the boot shaft is pretty tight in the calf. I am petite and have pretty small calves and have never had an issue with boots but these feel pretty snug.

Super cute boot! However, these were snug when wearing thin jeans which surprised me since I have rather slender calves. The jeans bunched up at the top of the boot. If there was a bit more room at the top, I would have kept them. There was plenty of room in the toe for welly socks. I'm giving it high ratings because it was a great boot just too small in the calf for me.

I ordered the size 8 although I usually wear 8 1/2 or 9 and they fit perfectly. Walking in them is more like clomping than striding, but they take me places I might not otherwise go. It's nice to have something to wear in the rain, slush, and mud without ruining your shoes or other boots. I ordered the dark olive and they are quite green. The actual green must be very bright!

Could have been a little wider at the top - need help to get them off. But fit much better than the same boot in short.

these were really narrow and tight on my calves so had to return. I am small and could not fit over jeans or even leggings. Maybe were made extra narrow, not sure if there is a wide calf version, but I am 5' and 135 lbs so was surprised that they were so narrow. As others have reviewed, hard to get off, but also for me, hard to get on. I do not have wide calves, but these did not work well for me.

Size 7 too small with thin sock. Size 8 too big. Size 8 fits ok with THICK boot sock but now is too hot to wear with THICK sock. Seems like a decent boot just haven't decided if keeping.

Comfy gray boot. Just puzzled why the lining is blue not gray to match the exterior color.

I have owned and loved this style of boot over the last 40 years. They wear well and look/perform wonderfully. I am a short woman (5 foot 2 inches) and have muscular calves. Unfortunately these new original tall boots at 16 inches were too tall for my short legs and too tight in the leg portion as I like to wear my boots with my pants tucked in. I love Hunter boots but these just didn't work for me in this style anymore.

They look great, but didn't fit the way I remember. The foot bed had plenty of space but we're tight in the calf, which made the rest of the fit uncomfortable.

Measure your calf and compare with the listed measurements before ordering. These fit fine in the foot and ankle, but too snug in the calf so I am returning them. Also, they seem reasonably well made, but not any higher quality than another pair of tall rain boots that cost half as much. So just keep in mind that you are paying a premium for the name!

So disappointed. Boots that cost $150 for rubber should not start to split. Although these boots are three years old its not as if I wear a rain boot on a daily basis. Noticed yesterday that both boots are split on the top of the foot area. Had this happen after a few years with a boot that was twice as old, which these replaced, yet that boot was half this price. Guess I will go back to the first boot as for half the price I got twice the life!!

First, the color is a red brick. I am 5'4" and my inseam is 31". the boot came to just under my knee. i'd like just an inch or so shorter. thanks to a previous review which compared the Hunter to the Kamik, i ordered one of each. i normally buy a 7.5W shoe. I ordered 8 in both boots. Both the length and width fit me. The Hunter is a bit floppier on my foot than the Kamik. The Kamik hits me mid calf and is big enough around (without flopping) in the calf. it took me almost 5 minutes to get the Hunter off my foot! that's a hassle. because of the fit, comfort and height of this boot, i'll return it. I'm keeping the Kamik.

Bought these for my wife, who is on the skinnier side. These didn’t look good on her. Definitely a boot made for women with thicker calves and legs.

Overall these boots were too big. I do like the style, but worried that the smaller size would be too small for my foot. I ordered a different brand after two failed attempts with Hunter. I really wanted to love these so I’m a little disappointed. Zappos customer service rocks.

One of the buckles doesn’t work and the box it came in wasn’t a hunter box, but a plain brown box that was too big. I was super excited about these boots, and guess I just expected higher quality and presentation.

I purchased these as a replacement for my Hunter Wellies that failed (slits everywhere in the foot of the boot) after less than two years. I wear them as barn boots every day for at least an hour a day for chores for 6 months out of the year. I reluctantly bought another pair, but the price of the olive boots was competitive with other brands. While I don't love the olive color, I do not make a fashion statement while mucking stalls. The straps have failed on the Joules. So, I'll give this brand one more try before going back to Muck and Bogs.

Like another reviewer I purchased a pair of these rain boots from Lord and Taylor a couple of years ago. They cracked and split and are unwearable. I own another pair of Hunter rain boots which were a gift I received over 15 years ago. That older pair is still in perfect condition. I can only assume the newer materials are of lesser quality. I took a chance and ordered a replacement pair for the cracked boots. Unfortunately the replacement pair is at least a half inch (or more) taller than my previous damaged pair. They are too tall and hit my kneecaps. It appears the sizing is different on these new boots also. Reluctantly they are being sent back. Very disappointing.

Really enjoyed these but 3 and a half years in and the rubber has split everywhere, feet are wet. Some might think this is a long enough time to last. I do garden and agricultural work. My LaCrosse boots have lasted ten years plus. I am hard on gear but this appears to be material failure. I don't mind paying but I want stuff to last.

Love my Hunter wellies but you can definitely tell a difference in manufacturing. My old pair (circa 2012) were made of a thicker and stiffer rubber so they hold their shape better. These are cute and keep my feet dry so that’s all I ask for in a rain boot. Just disappointed the manufacturing difference is so obvious. ?????
