Boots are very stylish, but definitely I found that they run a size larger.

Love the style, but the top of the shank hit my knee. Getting the short boot instead.

I loved this boot so much, but I'll have to send them back. My average sized calves have to be forced into them. I am 5'7" and about 175 lbs. This is the first time I have had trouble getting any boot over my calves.

Lovely well-made boots. good fit and plenty of room for heavy socks or tucked-in jeans. But my first order was HUGE and there is some confusion about sizes. I ordered a size 11 which in Hunter boots is a 43. This is a men's 10.5 whereas a women's 10.5-11 would be a size 41. ( 43 is more like a woman's size 12) I really wish Zappos would go ahead and list the sizes that are marked on these shoes rather than their conversion or interpretation of those sizes, as I already know my European size is a 41. I originally ordered these in a size 8, which is my normal size. They felt very big on me so I returned them for a size 7, which was perfect. Great for a rainy day.

These definitely run big. I had to go down a full size to get them to fit even with thick socks. I wish they came in half sizes as there is a huge difference between the sizes.

I bought the green and navy hunter boots. The green felt great, true to size and nice thick heavy boots. The navy were noticeably thinner and lighter. I don’t know if the navy pair were defective or what. I kept the green pair and returned the navy.

I have a very high instep and couldn't get my feet into the boots so they sadly had to go back. They seem very nice and high quality but unfortunately they just don't work for me.

Love these when it rains. Feels a little large around the calf and makes noise when I walk but I’m hoping that goes away once I’ve worn them a bit more.

Slightly small through the calf. I would say I have pretty average size legs.

These are a great basic but tall rain boot. They run true to size. I got the red but not the shinny red which is fun but not extreme on a gloomy, rainy day.

I love these Hunter boots. They are so cute and comfortable. I wore mine around New York and didn't have any problems walking all day. The only thing I don't like about Hunter is the sizing-I am a typical 6.5 so I chose a 6 in Hunter and wear fuzzy socks to fill the void if I don't wear the wellies.

I ordered a size 8 and am returning them to get a size 7. I am usually an 8 to 8.5 in shoes and boots, but they are VERY big even with thick socks.

Boots look great and are nice heavy rubber. However, as noted in other reviews, the calf is snug. Would be fine for me (15") with tights but not jeans, so going back. Ordered a half size up (9) and it was roomy but not too big.

Made a mistake with European vs US sizes but Zappos fixed it right away with no questions. Boots are good quality and look nice.

I have wanted these for a long time and finally got a pair along with a pair of boot socks. I am normally a size 6 and went down to a 5 based on reviews. They do run big. A size 5 with normal socks left plenty of room. A size 5 with boot socks was snug and I was concerned that it would not be comfortable. After two full days of wearing (probably walking four miles wearing them around the city one day), I can say they are comfortably snug. I would not want a bigger size. They have a grooved bottom that allows you to walk in the rain without sliding. I wish the buckle actually tightened and was not merely decorative but I like that it is there. I am glad to have them with all of the rain that we have been having. I have worn them to walk the dogs and go on short hikes and of course they wash easily.

I pretty much always wear a size 7, but I ordered a size 6 based on the majority of reviews & had to return them because they were way too small. I found these to be pretty true to size. There is enough room for me to wear thicker socks with them (which is highly recommended because they do not keep your feet warm). Overall, love my new Hunter Boots! Looking forward to the rain so I can wear them more! Buy warm socks to wear with them.

These boots fit perfectly seemed true to size and though the circumference is listed as the same 6" as the Tour. But they seemed to have more room.

My daughter loves her boots. I think they do run a little big. She normally wears an 8.5 but we ordered the 8 and they fit fine.

I absolutely love these boots! They are great quality. Exactly as shown in the picture. I love Zappos' free next day shipping option, they got here so fast! The only thing that was difficult was determining the size I needed since Hunter runs large and also only comes in whole sizes. Most people I talked to recommended going a size down. So I normally wear a 9½ or 10 and the 8 was a bit too snug, but the 9 was a bit too roomy. So I ended up keeping the 9 but I have to wear super thick/double socks. Other than that, I love these boots!

My first pair of Hunter boots lasted 10 years. My second pair got stress cracks after about 6 mos. (The boots are now made in China). This is my third pair because I love the boots so much. I am hoping that the cracking of the last pair will not happen again. I am a pretty thin person and just have room to tuck my jeans in. If you have medium to larger calves, they will not fit - very narrow in the calf. Also, they are tall. I am about 5'6" and they are almost too tall for me. I actually wear these boots hard - on a horse farm, and not for fashion. If you are a fashion wearer, you probably would not have the cracking problem I had. I also wore them in bitter cold which probably was not a good idea. I love everything about them but only giving 4 stars since my last pair did not hold up. So far so good with new pair.

I had to return these boots b/c I couldn't find a size that fit. I followed the recommendations and got a size down - 9 but it was too small. So I exchange it for a size 10 and it was way too big, even with thick socks on.
