I bought them for myself however could not get them on due to them being too narrow. I gave them to my daughter and she is thin but muscular, she almost couldn't get them over her calf.

The tall boots were too tall. I bought these to replace a previous pair that had worn out. However, this version is about half an inch taller. It is not comfortable to bend my knee. It pinches in the back

Cute but really baggy in the calf. Maybe my calves are just particularly narrow, but I switched to the "refined" version which was better.

These boots are gorgeous, but I have wide calves and they are very tight on my calves. Not ideal for anyone with big calves

They are great boots! I am not able to wear them though due to my calfs are to large.

I wanted to give these tall boots a try - I've only had lower length rain boots in the past. They did not work for me. I am 5' 4.75" and the top of the boot hits in the lower part of my knee, making it uncomfortable to walk because i feel the edge of the boot rub against my knee cap. I am sticking with lower boots. The light blue color is very pretty.

these wellies were well made and stylish - but tight around calves (for me) so hard to take off.

The fit is fine, the boots are fine, the customer service, the late delivery, the fact they went to Allentown PA from KY down to Philly and up to us made them a day late, which had us scrambling to buy ANOTHER pair which I had to find and now return as this is what my child wanted. There is no expedited delivery which is unacceptable. Rethink using Zappos. Its not the shoes, its the customer service and delivery. UGH

I love these boots! Unfortunately, they are too wide for my narrow foot and calf. Hunter does carry a slim boot, but they only come in one color or two colors.

the fit was great from the length to the width of my foot " but" if the circumference would've been a Quarter to 3/4 wider it would've been just perfect.

Instep so tight I cannot get my feet into the boots.

The fit seemed true to size, the material seems softer than my other wellies but of good quality. They were a bit difficult to remove but so were my other wellies. Have not worn them yet as I just received them a week ago, but look forward to having them as long as my old ones.Rating based on limited information above.

I was shopping for a rain boot to wear casually not for sloshing about in my yard. I have an old pair of Lacrosse boots that I wear for working. I did not want to like these hunter boots due to the price. The high price is the reason I gave them an overall 4 star review. However I do like them. After comparing them to the original Hunter tall wide calf, the Kamik olivia and the Kamik Jennifer the original Hunter tall boot was my favorite. I wanted to like the Kamiks better due to the price. I think the Kamiks seem more sturdy with thicker rubber. But the Kamiks seemed more snug around the ankle even in a size larger than the hunters. They also had a thin seam running down the middle of the boot which for me was noticeable. The finish of the boots are slightly different also. Both were matte but the hunters had a bit of a sheen which was more attractive to me. I was concerned that the hunters would be too tall and too narrow for me. I'm 5'2" and 129#, calf circumference is 14.25" However the boots come just to my knee and do not pinch the back of my leg even when squatting. The hunter boots are roomy for socks and even with jeans tucked in there is still smoke room for comfort. I assume the side buckle detail is for appearance as it does nothing to adjust the fit of the calf. Overall I just liked the hunters better and was willing to spring for the cost for the fit and finish. If you want a more utilitarian boot with an attractive look go with the Kamik Jennifer. The price makes them a good selection. But I would definitely not size down in them. If between sizes then size up. BTW, the wide calf hunters were just way too wide for me. Cheers.

Love the aubergine color. It’s not too purple or bright, but not just plain blue, either. As far as fit, if this helps anyone: I normally wear 8-1/2 and my feet are slightly narrow. I ordered size 8 in this boot and the fit is fine. I will need to wear a thin dress sock. A thicker sock is ok but makes the toes slightly snug. If I were set on wearing a thick, warm winter sock I would round up on the half-size instead of down. I have skinny ankles, and my calves are approx 13-1/4 inches around. These boots leave some room to spare around the calves and ankles, but are still surprisingly hard to pull off.

Originally ordered my regular size 9. They were big and wide on my foot. This size 8 is much better.

Love my original tall hunters so much that I decided I needed them in another color. The Aubergine was on sale and looked like a dark plum in the photos, so I took a chance with them. I did love them, but the color, while gorgeous, was brighter than i had hoped. I was wanting a more neutral color, so I returned them for navy.

I LOVE my new hunter boots. I was really excited that they came a day early as well. I was extremely disappointed that they must have been a previous return since the packaging was messed up, the buckles were not buckled and one boot was dirty already. That is the reason for the 4/5 stars.

I ordered a size 7, I am 5’ 4” and a true size 7 so these feel a half size too big. I wish I had ordered the mid calf ones as it is hard to drive in these boots. Overall they serve its purpose.

I read the advice to order a half size down if you wear a half size. I waited all day for these to arrive and my toe hits the end of the boot in size 8. I wish I hadn't listened to the advice and ordered a size 9. Now I have to return them. Now do I exchange them or just decide its not worth it and get a refund.

Depending on the brand, I usually wear a women’s size 10 or 11 medium width boot. I ordered this boot in an 11 and even with an added insole and boot socks they were too big. I returned them and decided instead to order the Hunter Refined Tall boot in a size 10 and it fits perfectly. Hunter makes great looking boots!

I bought these boots for my daughter. I bought a size 7 - she usually wears a size 6 1/2 & I wear 7 & neither of us had a problem with the size but they would be pretty heavy & rubbery to walk in for more than a couple of hours since they were the tall boots. She’s a college student so felt like they were a bit heavy & cumbersome walking around a large campus for hours. She really liked the looks of them but inside is just rubber, no lining or anything & it bothered her that she cldnt bend her ankle in the heavy rubbery boots at all.
