Fitment is fine, but they seem to be a bit short, at least in 114E. The crease created during the bend of the shoe at the ball of the foot digs into my feet with each step, making these fairly uncomfortable. I consider this a design flaw due to the decorative piece of leather that is in the center across the toe, and forms a keeper for the laces.

I've had these shoes for over a year now and always wore them on pavement and found them very comfortable with suitable enough support to last throughout the day. They have stood up over time with no rips or tears or wear. More comfortable than other hiking shoes I have had. I tried these out on a real hike recently where the terrain was mixed: gravel, dirt, sand, mud and wet leaves and I was sliding all over the place when on the mud and wet leaves. I actually thought they were pretty dangerous to be in when climbing and descending on mud and leaves and walking over tree roots. I would NOT recommend these for hiking at all but for everyday wear they are extremely comfortable.

Great looking shoe and very comfortable after about a week. BUT, my socks got wet in the rain. I did not put my foot in a bucket of water...it was only raining. I thought - really? - took the boot off and my sock was wet.

Mixed feelings right now regarding this shoe: As others have said, this is one of the very few hikers that comes in a 4E, and it fit surprisingly well when I received it. First impression, it didn't feel quite as sturdy as my last Keens. Wore it on a 6 mile hike today, first day out, and at the end of the day I was surprised that the shoe had what looked like a tear. The black leather triangle holding the second eyelet had pulled away from the base leaving a big hole - after looking more closely it had never been stitched properly into the base of the shoe - looked like that piece of material was sized improperly (maybe because it was a 4E). I'm sending it back and going to get a replacement - I'm hoping this was a one time anomaly and I'll update my review based on what a second pair shows.

The overall fit and size were great. However there were two main issues that bring this down to a 2 star and honestly unwearable and returned product. First having to look and think about how I walked, if I walked with my heel touching the ground first or my toes. My normal walk typically I have my toes touching the ground first and it felt as if the shoe was folding and pressing in across my metatarsal area. The second issue is too much padding around my ankle. I hear you say "You can never have too much padding!" but the case here is that it felt as if I had a sock rolled up and around my ankle inside of the shoe. It's just not comfortable.

Way too narrow, as other people have said in reviews. Return them and even tried another size bigger with the 4E and still much too narrow. I ended up buying the Teva similar style.

Light but not a comfortable last. I paid $149 for these and I would question them at half that price. Returned.

I ordered a 7.5 4E. The bottom of the shoe was extremely narrow and the side of the shoe was pressing against my big toe and wasn't wide eough. I would of had to break them in and stretch the shoe fabric before they would fit. Too much pain for a hiker that I wanted to use right away. I guess the extra width was the fabric and my foot would have kind of spilled over the sole of the shoe sole/bottom. I was disappointed as my current shoe provider makes sure the sole of the shoe is wider than the actual width of your foot, I was expecting the same with this brand. I think some brands try to save money on production by using the same size sole with all width sizes and that just doesn't work for wide feet, makes for an uncomfortable shoe. Other than fit the shoe seemed to be constructed really well.

I have a pair of Durham cloud that I bought several years ago but have worn very little. Today when I took them off I noticed both rubber soles are separating.

I ordered these because the Dunham lace-up boot my husband loved have been out of stock for nearly 2 years now. He has terrible bunions with toes that cross over so he needs a wide shoe with a roomy toe-box. This model of Dunhams has a very narrow toe box. This is not a truly wide shoe as far as we are concerned.

I believe these boots were not labeled correctly. They are narrower than the previous pair of the same boot I ordered in 2019.

I purchased these boots in February 2017. I use them for hiking or camping several times a year so not extreme use. The rubber part that covers the toe has already started separating from the toe of the boot. On one of the boots, the rubber part on the tip of the toe that is actually part of the sole is also separating from the shoe. I've tried Shoe Goo, but it's not very effective. I typically like Dunham products and have purchased an assortment of Dunham shoes before. But I expected them to last more than 2 3/4 years with light to moderate use.

These are a nice looking pair of boots for my husband who wears 4E and are very comfortable to his 13 size. But, like another reviewer mentioned earlier, these boots squeak after a short period of time to a very annoying condition every time you walk. After 4 pairs in less than 3 years, we noticed that the gray ones are the ones that squeak the most. Another fault that applies to all of them, the soles separate from the boot in less than a year. I wish they could make them more robust and rugged to match the nice looks and comfort.

Ordered the "suggest size" 9 in an EE. Easily 1 size too small. Seemed wide enough though.

These fit fine and are nice, light-weight, supportive boots, but after maybe a couple of years of very little use, they are no longer waterproof. I wasn't wading in a creek or jumping in mud puddles with them, I worn them during a wet snowfall. Disappointed.

There was only one reviewer who had mentioned a narrow toe box so I thought I would try these. The space across the balls of my feet was not nearly wide enough for my 4E feet. With thicker socks like I would normally wear hiking, they fit so poorly that it actually caused gaps along the tongue of this otherwise waterproof shoes.

These are essentially over-priced high top running or athletic shoes, not hiking shoes. The soles are too thin for hiking over irregular terrain with jagged rocks.

I ordered these based on the reviews and the size I normally wear with my orthotics. Well, these had moderate arch support so I decided to go ahead and try them the way they came out of the box. They are comfortable and would be great if my toes weren't hitting the end of the shoe! And mind you, this is with out my arch supports. These shoes fit less than well after walking in them for several days. I've tried everything I can think of to remedy the situation and unfortunately after a month of off and on trying them I'm going to have to trash them or donate them??

I ordered these shoes for my dad for an upcoming hiking trip. He has worn these for a week, breaking them in, and the front sole is already coming apart from the boot. He wasn't even hiking. Just everyday wear. Will send them back for a better constructed pair of boots. He did mention that they are wildly comfortable!

I have been wearing the Merrell Moab 2 Mid WP Hiking Boots and thought that the Dunham Cloud might be a lighter and better boot for my flat feet. From a pricing standpoint, there is very little difference. I only had to put the Dunham on for a few minutes to see that its construction was cheaper and inferior to the Moab. For example, the Moab's toe protection is sewn into place whereas the Dunham is glued.
