I was initially concerned about the "pro" model fitting differently because of the added insole, but my size 9 fits about the same as my non-pro Vans in a size 9. For comparison I took the insole out and tried the shoe on, and it was way too big. Took a couple of days to break in, but they are much more comfortable for extended wear than my old pair of Vans.

I love the look of these sneakers on my husband and he loves the look AND feel. He has been wearing Vans for a long time and was looking forward to trying this style which has more support and cushion than the standard Vans. They pair equally well with shorts and jeans. The color is great and while not technically a neutral they go with everything. For reference his feet are more on the narrow side. They are great quality and a very cool, casual shoe.

I purchased these shoes to wear with shorts during the summer. These shoes are comfortable with good support. They look great with shorts and jeans for a nice, casual look. I would definitely purchase these shoes again.

Classic Old Skool style with much better padding. Love these shoes. The fit is right on as well.

Quite frankly I love these. Paid a little more for Vans with an insole and do not regret. I like the styling which is handsome but basic without all the 'doo dads' found on contemporary sneakers. Thank you Vans for making adult shoes. I've found that I need to order 1 size up to be comfortable in Vans. Highly recommended and might even go for the high tops! As usual these arrived next day. Zappos is the place to buy . Great price. Great selection. Great service.

These Vans are great and I highly recommend them. I recently bought these shoes because they are cheap and to get me through everyday of the winter whether it be through water, sleet, or snow. It was either Vans or Converse and it came down to which would do better stepping in a puddle of slush. And I definitely made the correct choice because I have stepped in many slush puddles and walked away confident. These shoes break into your feet quickly and hug your feet. These shoes accompany you no matter the size or width of your feet. If you are into the classic vans and enjoy the stripe on the side and the simplicity of the shoe like me, then you should get these. These shoes rarely let you get your feet wet, I d say borderline impermeable. Another great thing about them is that they look great clean or dirty! They are comfortable, stylish, and durable. They have very long laces (just buy shorter ones), are not great active shoes and not very warm. These shoes come with very long laces that you may have to tuck into the shoes so that you do not step on them. I have yet to buy another set of laces to replace my current stock ones. When I run with these shoes I feel very clunky and I feel slower than usual, but that could be because the shoes I had before these were very flexible and light. They also do not retain heat very well leaving your toes very cold at some points. If you are looking for a cheap shoe for yourself or your children to play around in outside, cold or warm, these shoes are great for you. All of that being said it was harder to think up the cons then the pros and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. You definitely get the bang for your buck and I will be buying them again after these run out of life.

Fantastic shoe. Super comfy and look great. They don't breathe quite as well as I'd like, but they're not super hot either. I'm definitely going to buy another pair.

If you have owned Old Skools before, you won't be disappointed! This shoe feels even better than the classic Old Skool. It has a super cushy insole. The salesperson at the Vans store (where I tried on first), told me the insoles should last longer than the shoe, and you can put them in another pair if you like. If you haven't ever worn Old Skools before, welcome to the laid back, roomy comfort of a classic! The only difference I can see right now is that the toe looks slightly pointier than the original Old Skools. That being said, I have really really wide feet, and I don't feel any kind of pinch in the toe.

This is a real sharp shoe; my son who is a teen and junior in High school said that all his friends and other kids noticed his hoes right away on the first day he wore it and liked it a lot!

I absolutely love the style and feel. But didn't give full 5 stars for the laces. The white laces turn black from the suede. Also they are a different type of shoelace.

They're a bit narrow and caused a few blisters when worn for a long period of time. Otherwise they're comfortable and fit well.

I bought these for my daughter who only wears Vans, but usually only in a solid color. I was a little unsure of this color combo, but they look even better in person than in the picture. She has worn them every day since I bought them.

I ordered a half-size larger and they fit great. Super-comfortable right out of the box, yet are really solid and well-made. My new every day shoes.

Definitely a little bigger than I intended, but it looks fine. Great show for skateboarding and everyday use!

Solid shoe all the way around and what I expected from the Vans Old Skool Pro line. The main reason why I purchased this was the color which, in the product photos shows a lighter, turquoise blue color. When I received the shoes the color is more of a darker royal blue like an LA Dodgers blue or Kansas City Royals blue (for those familiar with Major League baseball). I was debating on returning them but will keep them and find an outfit or two that will match the color of the shoes.

These are my primary shoes. I go through a couple pair a year. The advent of the Pro version of the Old Skools was well timed with my getting weary of the lack of padding in the Old Skools. A bit more cush is so welcome! I dig the way they look, I like the way they feel. I know they don't have the cush or support of some more advanced shoes, but I don't like bulky shoes, and I'm not so given up to old age that I'm ready to just not care about style at all...

Two pairs in a row where the insoles were too big - had to trim them down manually to get them to lay flat in the shoe. I'd pay double the price if they'd start stitching the sole to the upper like Pumas - every pair of Vans I've owned eventually comes apart on the side. That said, the comfort and style can't be beat.

Great shoe, you gotta get a half size bigger than normal due to the increased thickness of the insole.

Color was darker than in picture which i like. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can skate them.

Looks great with anything. My son picked these over 4 other pairs of vans.

These Vans are the classic look I was searching for. They do need breaking in. It'll take a couple of weeks.
