Very good for school, my son has used them before (we need to buy 2 for the whole year school) and we like the part that they don't have laces! Easy to put on.

l ordered my granddaughter these shoes last year and we liked them so much we bought them again this year. Very well made, also very comfortable. Zappos has a great variety to choose from. Zappos is a wonderful place to shop.they always satisfy the customer.

Beyond happy that I could find a place that sells basic sneakers! Too many places want you to buy some neon, glow in the dark, disco ball, sequin sneakers! Looking for HTF, go to Zappos! This is my go-to store whenever I need to actually find something, not spend hours searching & not finding what I am looking for. Good quality shoe. Doesn't fall apart with brutal kid wear at regular, not over inflated prices. Very happy with Zappos & the sneakers too!

These are our school uniform shoes. We have them in black for my son and white for my daughter. They hold up well. I'll need two pairs (each) for the 10 month school year. The white look dirty sooner, obviously, but they are very sturdy. I think the price is on the high side, but with the limited number of shoes that meet the all-white and all-black uniform standard, there aren't many options.

I typically like New Balance shoes. But these, even in Wide width, and with the insole removed, were not wide enough to fit AFOs. They're going back.

I love this sneakers. I purchased this for my son. It’s the only sneakers he wears almost all the time. What I ordered was exactly what I needed.

My child picked out these shoes and so far they are great! We have to buy shoes wide and with velcro, so selection is limited. I like that they are all leather - hopefully they will be more durable than mesh/canvas shoes and will last longer. Would buy again.

The shoes hold up with daily use for my 6 yr old, easy to clean, comfortable, not stinky, and priced fair. No blisters and no problem from day one. Lots of bottom padding adds bounciness during gymn time and recess. I love the velcro, so my kid can put them on and off herself. I gave 3 stars for style due to the bulkiness of the design, they make my kid's feet look really large in proportion to her size!

Light but bulky and cheap feeling. Bought these for school, but white seems too clinical, like she's working in a hospital. Daughter has high instep, so velcro shoes no longer works for her in any brand, it seems. She's size 1.5. She'll have to use laces now.

The sneakers are the predictable New Balance quality. However, the toes are a bit "stubby." Here I suggest a slightly more tapered toe. I wish New Balance made the KV990 in white since I think this style (and the velcro straps) are better. The difference in the price would be worth it.

This style runs about 1/2 size larger. Other than that...these shoes look awesome on my son. They're comfortable and I know they'll last. We've been buying New Balance for years.

I got it for my 9 year old son because he asked for a Velcro sneaker. He loved it so much but was big. I recommend getting half a size smaller!

Good materials and construction. Should be a durable shoe. Runs 1/2 size large.

These fit the bill for my grandson's uniform but they are huge. They felt a full size and a half larger as well as super wide. I picked the size he wears in all other brands but these definitely have to be exchanged.

I have to get this shoe for my sons as a part of their uniform. It is NOT my favorite shoe. At least three of the pairs I have purchased have come apart at the inseam that connects the front part (toe area) BEFORE my sons actually grew out of the shoe. I have enough trouble keeping up with shoes to match their growing without purchasing uniform shoes simply because they are falling apart.

I bought these shoes in XW to accommodate my son's SMO orthotics and while the shoe was wide enough for the SMOs, the Velcro straps that need to close over the top of the shoe were not long enough so these shoes didn't end up working for him.

I bought these for my sons school uniform back in September. I thought they would hold but but today (4 months later) they are ripped in the front and are “talking”. Extremely disappointed.

I was a little disappointed in the performance of this shoe. the velcro only held up 2 months and the leather tore after four. Also they were very clunky on my sons feet.

Great comfortable shoes for a kid with wide feet - but all of the stitching holding the velcro straps on the tongue of the right shoe ripped out after 3 weeks. Zappos' fantastic customer service replaced them quickly and with as little inconvenience to me as possible but it was disappointing to have a quality control issue with New Balance.

Boxy and a little clunky, so not too great to look at, but 7yo was relatively comfortable in them. Low score overall because they didn't last. My son is hard on shoes, don't get me wrong, but most hold up for 4-6 months. These were falling apart in less than two.
