They're okay shoes, but I have to say I'm disappointed in how heavy and bulky they are. They feel more like a work boot than an athletic shoe.

Writing this review now after 5-6 months of wearing this shoe. I have to say I think the quality of the 608 has dropped tremendously. The first time I put them on and tried to tie my shoes up, one of the nylon loops holding the string broke on me! Also, the inside of the heels of the shoe have broke down already wearing out the cushion in the heel area. This happened at around the two month point of wearing them. I now have nothing but leather (fake leather) rubbing against my heels. I am hard on shoes...being 6'7 and 350 lbs will do that to anything I wear, but I do expect a pair of tennis shoes that are worn on average 2-3 times per week, would hold up better than breaking down after just 8 weeks... I hope NB wakes up and starts putting quality work back into their shoes...not happy with this pair at all.

Ordered “Brown “ outside in the daylight color is light purple, inside they do look somewhat brown.

For years I bought NB shoes because I have flat feet and need good arch support. And NB always seemed to have better built in arch support than most other athletic shoes. I guess those times are in the past. I just received this shoe and it has no support at all. A real disappointment. I'll terminate my loyalty to NB from here on out and start looking at other brands.

I really wanted to love these New Balance shoes. The width was good and the height of the toe area was good. The only issue is that the back of my foot slides up and down when I walk AND I can easily remove the shoe like a slipper.

I love the way this shoe make me feel, comfty and secure but the hole that the shoe lace goes thru, has no metal ring so the laced can easily shred the fabric and has done that twice to me... I may need to customize it but other than that it a perfect shoe for a big guy...

Right shoe is not a size 18 as stated and I contacted Zappos to get a split size and they would not accommodate me. I've been buying my shoes with them for years so I'm dissatisfied .

After wearing a short time one of the fabric lace loops came loose. This rendered the shoe now wearable as the loop is needed in order to lace the shoe. If there was a hole where the loop was I could have easily used the hole instead of the loop. Without a hole the laces did not lace up correctly.

When I opened the box, I thought " I must have been sent knock-offs"! First impression was phony man-made leather that does not come close to the real thing. Then I realized New Balance makes their own knock-offs in far away places like Indonesia and China. I can't believe they use the same lasts as their US made shoes. After 25 years of 11.5 4E shoes from New Balance, these knock-offs are a little short and a little narrow. They are my last New Balance Shoes!

Great shoe but the sole separated off from the rest of the shoe after about 4 months. They were not used hard. I've purchased new balance shoes for years. These are the first ones I have not been happy with.

I had worn this same style of New Balance shoe for many years and they held up beautifully. I walked several miles per day and the shoes lasted for years. They did eventually wear out but after an enormous amount of service. When I had to replace them, I bought the same model number. The pair that I received were garbage. The sole almost immediately began to separate from the toe and sides, and the uppers began to tear. I wore them as yard shoes for about a year while they were falling apart before they eventually disintegrated. Thinking that I just gotten a bad pair, and liking the model of shoe very much, I bought another pair and didn't make a fuss about the poor quality of the previous pair. The next pair was just as bad if not worse. No more New Balance for me, I switched to a pair of Reeboks and have been very pleased. My advice: do not buy any shoes from New Balance.

My husband felt like they turned his foot/ankle inward. He could feel the angle even on his knee.

I got what I wanted. The shoes arrived a week before Zappos said they would, which might have been a disaster if I'd been away and counted on being home before they got here. I wasn't, so I was actually pleased that they came early.

Have worn many pairs of NB shoes, always the same size. This pair just isn't right, to small. Frustrating.

The biggest reason I didn't care for the shoe was the comfort. I had never experienced a Leather Athletic Shoe. The comfort level was zero. I wear New Balance shoes and this one didn't measure up.

Shoe is 1 size too small and top rubs against my foot. Not enough room and also no cushioning. New Balance has really jumped the shark

Completely different shoe for walking than prior versions. Shoe box is set farther forward from the heel, the shoe box rear surface is slanted forward, and the heel strike area is much less rounded. The older shoes rolled into the foot strike. The new 608V4 shoe hits a corner and slams your foot down without rolling. Not walkable.

After the 1st pair was falling apart (sole was coming off the bottom of the shoe) I contacted customer service and was sent a new pair. Less than 2 months later, the same thing happened. Contacted customer service again and got a refund. Very pleased with Zappo's but not New Balance.

I do not like these shoes. The size was not accurate as compared to other NB shoes I have purchased (these are too large), the laces are too long, and the right shoe will not stay securely tied unless I double tie it (the left shoe does not have this problem). They also lack the graceful style of the NB walkers I used to buy; these things are just clunky looking. I'm tempted to just send them back. Altogether, these shoes just did not measure up to the quality I have come to expect from NB.
