Didn't like these at all - returned them. They have dents in the front of the boot and not at all comfortable.

I wanted to love these, really I did. Too tight in the instep to allow me to wear a sock. If I sized up, the shoes would have been too long. #sweepstakes

I loved the look online but very cheap in person (esp. for the price). The leather feels fake and they fit very small. I don’t have narrow feet but never need to order wide. Unfortunately have to send them back :(

Picture online is not a good representation of the item! Color of the boots is very different than the picture.

Cute boot, but way too narrow. I have never had to order wide shoes or boots. So disappointed.

The amount spent these boots looked really cheap. Especially with the thick rubber sole.

Was very disappointed that this pair did not fit. I have several other Lucky Brand shoes in size 12 that fit beautifully. Why wouldn't this fit as well?

Too tight and sized up 1.5 sizes. I stretched it and it's still too tight. Since it's suede it doesn't stretch as much as the leather Basel

Loved the fit of these boots. Figured I would spend more for better quality product. NOT! Only wore these boots to work (in an office) and the leather is chewed up and peeling! So disappointed!

I LOVE the style and comfort of these boots but three weeks after purchasing the leather started deteriorating and peeling off. I have not walked in any snow or rain, and have taken care for them like I have all my other lucky boots. After the first week, the leather started puckering and the next week it absolutely is shedding off. I am absolutely disgusted with the quality of these boots. Furthermore, I have contacted the customer service about the quality and have had no response.

I have had two pairs of the Basel black leather booties. My experience is that the leather stretches a lot, so buy them on the tight side. The black leather peels off almost right away after you start wearing them. The brown leather/suede strips on the heel fall or peel off making the boot look terrible very quickly. What a terrible idea to put leather/suede on a heel when we will be wearing these boots in the fall when it rains.
I have bought many boots from Lucky and have always found they were great quality, but my experience with this style has left me looking elsewhere. I am not going to pay this much for shoes to have them fall apart and look terrible.
My suggestion, find a different pair to purchase.

After just one wear, the fabric on the heels started to peel off, revealing a fabric underneath, and the brown leather started to wear off. From this brand, I was expecting a high quality product with durability. I would not recommend as just after one winter, these boots may have to go because they are deteriorating so quickly.
Disappointed,

Overall 1 star because the fake, stacked leather heels scuffed and peeled off within first two weeks of wearing these boots. SO disappointing. I tried to carefully glue the material back down but the material ended up peeling away further and looks terrible. So now I have a $129 pair of boots that look great everywhere else (and are pretty comfortable!) but the plastic (cork?) heel under the fake "stacked leather" wrapping shows and looks terrible. :(

I was so disappointed in these boots because of the quality. The style and fit were great, but within a couple of weeks they showed significant scuffs, scrapes and fading. Any little nick would tear the leather, leaving a noticeable white scrape. The stitching fell out. These boots are only a few months old and I'll be throwing them away. Such a bummer!

WARNING FULL LEATHER WEARS TERRIBLY- Perforated leather is great!
I have the basel in the grey perforated suede- they fit really well and I get tons of compliments. They are awesome.
I ordered in the black full leather and am so sad. They fit just as well but the leather got torn upon the insides and peeled up where my heel or the zipper scuffed the inside of the other shoe. Its like they were not real leather, just bonded leather or something. I have many other leather boots and have never had a pair wear out like this, the leather peeled up.
For reference I have a wide forefoot and wear a 9.5 or 10. The 10 fit well were a bit long, but comfy enough and I can walk for miles in there. Get the perforated, they are great, but beware the others.
PS Zappos is awesome and helped me get something else. love their customer service

These boots are extremely uncomfortable. I have tried wearing these many times and my feet are so sore and ache. My toes actually are numb while wearing them. They fit good but there is no support for my feet.

These booties are cute and comfortable; However, I wrote them for one day indoors and on carpet only, and the color started to come off the heel and sole. Now I have to pay to ship them back and hope my return will be accepted. Never again.

Four-In-One Ankle Boot Review
I was looking for a black ankle boot for fall that would look good with both jeans and a dress with tights. I ordered four different pairs for comparison: the Lucky Brand Basel, the Teva Foxy Leather, the Born Trinculo, and the CARLOS by Carlos Santana Lynn.
1) I tried on the Lucky Basel first and was shocked at how cheaply made and uncomfortable it was. It looked and felt like something from PayLess. Don't get me wrong, PayLess has its place, but for a Lucky
boot for $130 to feel like that? I don't think so. I boxed it right back up without even comparing it to the others.
2) Next I tried on the Teva Foxy Leather - nice boot! Beautifully made with thick (but not too stiff) leather. Like others reviewers mentioned, it was a little hard to get on, but only very slightly, at least for me. It was comfortable and gave my foot a nice "lifted" feeling. I was not totally convinced on the styling (loved the heel though), but still, a quality
boot.
3) Next up was the Born Trinculo - also a beautiful boot, and very nicely made. 100% comfortable, easy to put on. I could tell it would be
something I would reach for every day. My only concern was that it was the most casual of the group. If only the heel was a *little* higher, even a quarter inch...I tried it on with a skirt and tights though and it was fine.
4) And finally the CARLOS. This boot was a bit more lightweight than the previous two, but it did not feel cheap at all, just different. I liked the style a lot - clean and a bit sleeker than the others, slightly pointier toe. Very comfortable and definitely looked good with tights. No zipper which made me happy. Plus it was a full $50 less than the other boots.
In the end it came down to the Born and the CARLOS. If I could have, I would've purchased them both. I finally opted for the Born because I
thought it was more flattering to my particular my leg shape, which is short and curvy. Also, of the two, the Born looked great with socks on
top of tights (with a dress), and since I live in a cold area that's a plus. I am very happy with my purchase of the Borns, but I still *highly*
recommend the CARLOS - a really nice boot and definitely a great value.
I'd also recommend:
