Like walking on a frozen slab of plastic...or concrete....or (take your pick). The fur did nothing to soften the footbed. I actually like a firm footbed and I am not a cushy soft person....but this was crazy rock hard, inflexible .....

Ordered these shoes for my granddaughter's birthday...She wore them today for the first time..The black fur faded onto her socks and feet. Chunks of the black fleece fur which lined the inside of shoe started coming off. She called me from school it was so bad. We got her a change of shoes...so disappointed. I have bought her several Birkenstock shoes which have always been great...these seemed like a knockoff of the original...beware..

I've never written a negative review before, but I'm dissatisfied with these shoes although I love them at the same time!! They are amazing, but the problem is they fell apart. Twice. Zappos replaced the first pair. But when the second pair fell apart in the EXACT same place after wearing them about 10x, no such luck. Zappos did refund the $$ I paid for them, but they are now $50 more than that to buy again (Yes I actually want to give them another try, they are THAT amazing...). It just doesn't seem right. I contacted Zappos again about this, but predictably that email was ignored. I'm really sad about this as I've bought a lot from Zappos over the years, and I'm a true fan of Birkenstocks. But this experience has been a complete failure and I'm disappointed in both companies.

Comfortable, but quality was poor on these. Narrow was perfect even with the fleece. I have a standard B width on most shoes. Poor quality hopefully not reflective of whole line of shoes but fleece lining was not glued in well. There was a gap on the instep with glue exposed on both sides and fleece already lifting from leather on one side. Had to return. Will try another pair and see if it was this particular pair.

Loved these shoes. Loved them. But within 3 weeks the shearling began to wear off. The shoes looked like the footbed had mange. Now I keep my feet pedicured so it wasn't rough feet that did this! I had to return. The black also turned my feet black on the bottoms.

I loved these! However, I bought them in black and now the bottoms of me feet are black too! Washing did very little to remove the dye and I am now trying to scrape it off with my pumice stone. I tried the shoes with socks, but ruined the socks. This is really too bad! Maybe I'll get them in mocha with the light shearling... Also the regular is a bit more narrow than a typical Birkenstock.
