There is a design flaw with these. The suede is too soft and the inside edge of it folds over so that the foot keeps rubbing on it.

First pair I had to return as it was defective, second pair is what I am rating. It just does not have any support and I find myself switching into my Birkenstock sandals and wearing socks around the house instead of these. I would not recommend these.

this is the 2nd pair I ordered from Zappos and returned because something was sticking out of the shearling on the shoe just inside the arch. It as as if they glued in the shearling and left a piece that should have been shaved off. Also, the style seems a little different than direct from Birkenstock, wondering if these are originals?

I wanted to love this shoe. I kept it and kept it as I WANTED to so badly to love as much as I always love Birkenstocks. But -- it just didn't feel right. So I decided to surrender, that it wasn't worth the $. Sigh.....

Very uncomfortable in terms of arch support.

It was unfortunate, because I liked the color, but it felt way too narrow and there seems to be only a few Boston Shearling in the wider width. Why not have wide and narrow?

The shoe is comfortable if only wearing short period of time. Also if worn for any length of time without socks the lining will turn your feet black. It actually stains your feet and takes some scrubbing to remove. Wore them in Disney and not only did I get stained feet but a rough stitch under top of left shoe caused a giant sore.

Loved the shoes. Very comfortable but it came to me without any tags and the shoes had been worn. Bummer. I really loved them.

Very narrow and I comfortable I was really hoping I would like these but opted for crocs instead.

I ordered these for my daughter for Christmas and returned the first pair because there was glue all over the shoes where the sole was glued on. I am planning to return a second pair because the suede looks like it has been worn off of the top of both shoes. I will try with one more pair.

So bummed! There is an exposed protruding seam inside the left shoe which rubs my pinky toe. It feels like a thick piece of cardboard that wasn't trimmed enough. Also, the outsole on the left shoe at the big toe protrudes from the upper which looks weird. The left shoe upper must have been lasted incorrectly??? The quality and comfort on this pair is a 1 star.

I really wanted to love these... I have been a Birks fan for over 20 years and was super excited by the idea of a shearling-lined clog for fall. I pretty much live in my Arizonas in warm weather. My sandals are 38 regular and are slightly big on me - I've had extra holes added to the straps on both pairs - so I figured a narrow width would be work fine. (I have narrow heels but slightly wide insteps due to bunions - not wide enough for wide width shoes, but wide enough that some shoes are a little tight.) Unfortunately, I was wrong about these. Because of the shearling, they fit much narrower than expected. I would never be able to wear these with socks. They also feel quite short, like my heel was hanging over the back edge. I am 7 1/2 in everything else and the 38 in the Arizonas is the perfect length for me, so the 38 in these should have been good too. I am also disappointed that one of the shoes showed up with damage to the suede on the toe area - even if they did fit, I would have had to send them back because of that (probably just due to how they rested against each other in the box, but I feel like Zappos should check these things before shipping). Anyway, I am thinking about trying another pair in a bigger size because I still love the idea of them, but I am not sure if it is worth it. I wish Birkenstock made these in regular widths, but that is clearly not a Zappos problem.

Super cute and comfy shoes. I was very excited to get these in the mail, until I realized I was sent 2 left shoes. The shoes also looked a little *worn* and had fuzzies on the inside fur. I sent them back and am looking forward to receiving a new pair that includes both shoes that are brand new.

Super itchy, stiff and tight.

This is the worst and the suede is messed up and it’s been a headache for 6 months trying to get a decent pair that is NOT damaged or defective in one way or another... So fed up with the lack of support in this matter. I just want a pair of Birks that are what is advertised. Please help!

These are 1/4 inch narrower than any of my other size 45 Birkenstocks, and my wider foot hurts when I wear them. I thought it was just the shearling causing the tightness (I still think that's part of it), but after experiencing pain in my wider foot I measured the soles and learned the truth. Why would you do this Birkenstock? I have 5 other pairs of Birks, all 45 regular just like these supposedly are, and these are the only pair that doesn't fit. I'm going to try stretching them, partly because I really want these to work and partly because I removed the uncomfortable size tags so I can't return them, but as the sole is 6mm narrower than it should be I have limited expectations.

I tried two sizes above what I normally wear for a Birk and it was still too tight in the toes because of the shearling - even with thin or no socks. Cute and would be warm as house slippers, but maybe a bit too much shearling.

Usually, I am very comfortable in Birkenstocks. However, I need the toe guard. Since the shearling covered the toe guard, I did not get the support that I needed. So, I had to return these shoes.

Very comfy alternative to slippers, but I bought the black and they leave my feet black. These are way too expensive for cheaply dyed shoes! Really disappointed.

Black shearling Boston was wonderful, as expected, except for one thing. They turned my feet black! I kept them for about a month, because I loved them so much, and I even wore them with socks for 2weeks hoping all the back would just rub off on them and then be done. But no luck :( Zappos awesome, as per usual, and took them back and I’m getting the cute ones with the rivets (no lining tho.)

Loved these initially but they disappointed quickly. Like the narrow sizing option... I dont have particularly narrow feet but I feel the narrow fits more average female foot widths. Originally tried on the regular width and they fit rather clown-like. Shearling is super warm... meaning I cant wear them over 40deg F or else imminent sweating will ensue. The shearling dye definitely rubs off on your feet leaving them stained black. Also after only a few months of moderate wear (i take care of my shoes very well) the shearling is peeling away. Very disappointed in the quality for what i paid. I would avoid the shearling for this reason. Overall would not recommend.

These are essentially $150 slippers. Uggs are around the same price, and more flattering.

I ordered the black. When worn without socks the back from the shearling stained my toes and feet black. It was very hard to remove and quite ugly. The shoe fits well and is comfortable, but the dye coming off on my feet is annoying.
