It is so wonderful that Zappos carries wide widths! The Asics running shoe have great support, stability and cushioning. And thanks to Zappos I can get the wide width. I use an insert for extra arch support.

I am walking the 1/2 Detroit Freepress Marathon on October 18th. I participated in the event 3 years ago and my current Asics are worn. I would not trust any other shoe for walking 13.2 miles and beyond. The comfort, fit and now style is tops.

Been looking for a great fitting and looking running shoe for a while. Tried several brands and styles before finding the Asics Kayano. Love, love, love these shoes! I bought them for the gym but sense they'll be my go to shoes for everything!

I had the 19s and 20s and had read some bad reviews of the 21s. Well, I went down a half size and still have plenty of room in the toe box. These are so comfortable (I mostly walk, but am starting to run again after foot issues) that I'm excited to work out! The colors are bright, which I like, and look just like the picture you see on screen. My only complaint is that the shoe laces seem short in comparison to the previous models I've owned.

I am a healthcare worker and work really long hours. For years I've worn the well know brand that I think everyone has tried at least once. My feet are distroyed! I've been blessed or cursed with a very high arch. I'm not blaming the shoes, but I now have questionable plantar fasciitis, bunions & achy ankles. I finally started asking people that ran what they were wearing. Mostly all mentioned ASIC. That's when I started reading I think every review on every single website that sold them. Kayano Gel 21 seemed to be most suitable for my lifestyle. I recently spent 5 hours walking around in an amusement/water park with my family. I felt great afterwards actually the kids were more tired and complaining than I was. They work great for me at work as well. My feet & ankles like them a lot.

Another winner. Can always count on Asics for a comfortable shoe. I did end up with a half size larger than I normally wear. Didn't require any 'breaking in' time. Good support yet lightweight. Love.

These are comfortable and pretty. They have everything that you would want in running shoes. I was looking for something with lots of support and have been happy with previous Kayanos. Asics does not disappoint.

I agree with other reviewers that these are great for low-volume narrow feet! I ordered 10AA and stuck my 3/4 length orthotics right in on top of the insole. It's snug but feels great and I love the cushioning. I use these for walking, not running. Have worn them about 3 days and they feel great. Just wish Asics offered some less wacky color combos and that the colors I preferred were not all sold out in my size/width.

Gel Kayano is still my favorite even though they keep changing it a bit each year. Compared a Cumulus, Walker, and Kayano for a shoe to take to Europe. I wear a size 8 and still have room for my half shoe orthotic . So much heel to toe cushion I could walk all day. I have them in several colors.

This is probably my 10th pair of Gel Kayano's. I have a high arch and tend to get plantar fasciitis. These have a lot more support than Nike or other brands I have tried for running. I always buy 1 size bigger for running shoes.

I spend 8-10 hours on my feet every day. I have high arches and these give me the support I need. My second pair.

First of all, Zappos is the bomb! Second, these shoes are amazing. My second pair of kayanos, and will continue to purchase. These shoes feel great and make me feel like when I run, I am not causing injury to my knees!

This is my 2nd pair, and I find them very comfortable. There is arch support, but could be just slightly more. I have worn my first pair every single day! I'm not excited about all the bright colors, would love to see these in black on black with black soles. There are one or two colors that are less colorful.

Love these! My last pair of asics were Kayano and they have been my favorite running shoe ever. I have wide feet, so typically I have to buy wide shoes. I don't need wides in these, but I do wear half a size larger than normal. They fit great and are like running on pillows.

These are extremely supportive and comfortable for my flat feet. I was having problems with ankle pain after running (3-4) miles at a time, and after using these the pain is no longer there. I would recommend getting the wide if your foot is even close to being wide. I originally ordered the regular from a department store, but my foot was hanging off the side. Luckily I was able to find a wide size on Zappos. I prefer the look of Nike shoes, but will choose comfort over style.

Always wear Asics Gel Kayano for comfort & support. Also love the color selection. Great fit.

Asics are still the best, after many years of running/walking with them on my feet. Perfect fit, great comfort and top utility. Zappos had them at my door posthaste, as usual.

Fit very well, very cushiony to walk. Great support. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

Love! Right out of the box - great fit, cool laces! I have the 19's which I also love, I have the 20 which felt tighter in the toe box than the 19's. 21's have a roomier toe box - thank you 21's!

I love this running shoe! I have been buying this shoe for several years! It's the best running shoe I have every used! I have been a runner for over 30 years and this is the first shoe I have ever been able to buy without trying it on, just take them out of the box put them on and go! I have never had any issues with them! Will be a customer for life!

I finally got these shoes as a replacement for my old Asics GT-2160, which are no longer being made. It was disappointing that I couldn't get the same shoes again, and also that I got conflicting information about what would be most like them. This shoe is a bit narrower in the medium width, but seems like a good and comfortable fit. I was looking for a shoe that would provide stability, and this seems to fit the bill. It has a comfortable springy insole, but I still may replace it with a Superfeet insert for better arch support. I normally wear a size 10 medium shoe, and get 10.5 for running shoes - that is what I did here. Color choices are a bit odd, but seems like a good shoe.

After reading other reviews about the shoes running a little small, I debated which size to get. Ultimately I decided to get my usual 8.5 which is what I have gotten in all my past Kayanos. Glad I did, as these felt just right - just like all my previous Kayanos. I have serious back issues and I am VERY picky about shoes and arch support...and these are the best.

Love these shoes. Reasonably lightweight, yet provide pretty good inner ankle support to help with pronation. Also seem good for helping the wearer to land mid-foot while running (i.e., avoiding a continuous heel strike). It is definitely true that these run about a half size smaller than your typical shoe size, but I've found that to be the case with many brands of running shoes. I liked that the reviews indicated that these run narrow. However, the narrow (2A) is slightly wider in the heel area than I would like. It slips around a bit on my narrow foot with running, but the shoe is soft and thoroughly cushioned in the ankle area of the heel. Miraculously, I have no blisters after running 6 miles without breaking these shoes in at all. Very pleased with this purchase. The laces can help with the width adjustment, so will try that next time. I ordered the purple - certainly not the latest or trendiest looking style, but not too shabby either.

Love these shoes. They flex as I walk and really make a difference. I'm on my feet 8+ hours a day. Worth every penny.
