The fit was good and it is pretty comfortable, but the first week left blisters on my heels until the leather softened a bit.

My husband said wearing them the first day felt like shoes he's had for a long time - super comfortable. He was pleased!

I like these shoes for what I’m using them for which is for running errands. They are for light or medium use as far as terrain and length of time on your feet which is about 8 hours per day!

I have been wearing Born shoes for years. In the last year it seems they have changed their sizing chart. I ordered a pair in my regular size 11 and could barely get my foot in the shoe. And then it felt like a vice. Sent them back and got 11 1/2 and its a better fit. But they are not as comfortable as they once were. They feel like they are definitely making them narrower.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable, the leather weathers great, and they look nice enough to wear as a staple at work! While I completely love these shoes, I do hate the fact that the soles cracked in both of my pairs in about the same place. Zappos replaced one the first time it happened thinking it was a defect, but after it happened to my other color... and the replacement pair that Zappos sent in return for the defective pair. I think that the soles are very comfortable, but just not durable enough for me. Note: I only wore these in an office setting or walking the city and I was never too rough on them. I would still recommend them to anyone interested (with a note of caution).

These are very comfortable and lightweight, with attractive high-quality leather. I prefer minimal structure to my shoes, and these are great in that regard. My only criticism is that they're a little plain and ordinary in terms of style. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Bam! My first time out with these loafers were for a friend's wedding and they handled 8 hours of initial wearing with total aplomb. Great immediate and long lasting comfort. Much lighter weight than anticipated, which is a plus. Will need to condition the leather though and seems a tad dry already.

Love the shoe, ordered both Black and Tan. I wear a size 8.5 which I ordered. I tried them on when they arrived and they were 1/2 size small length and width. Reordered size 9 in both colors. I do not feel as though they run true to size but run small. This is my experience so take this in consideration when ordering.

These shoes are very comfortable. The only thing I don't really care for is the light stitching. It's a big contrast with a black shoe.

Just ordered the Sawyer in black having enjoyed a pair in gray for a couple of years. I've had several pairs of Bjorn shoes and this style has been the best. Very comfortable and easy to slip on after breaking them in. Polish up nice too!

Truly comfy (which I have come to expect from Born), true to size and great for work (work casual). Only complaint is that the left shoe had some long, length-wise scuffs out of the box. Not worth the effort to exchange for another pair seeing as in a couple weeks of wearing has blended in with normal wear.

While this is a very handsome shoe in the pictures, I found the creasing and wrinkling of the leather after only a couple wearings was very unattractive. I just like the cleaner look and while I would expect the wear lines after months of use, these shoes were worn twice in a week's span. Comfort was very good, but not great. Born's footbed is why I buy them however this one was less supportive than most. The leather of the uppers seemed to give very easily. I wouldn't buy these again.

It was the right length, good material, and overall great production quality, but the shoe was very tight.

As others have said, the opening size is too small and I had a difficult time getting the shoe on. Once on, it felt a little small but I'm sure it would have been fine after a few wearings.

Shoe opening is way too small. Leather started showing cracks before it was even worn. Had to return.

The Born Sawyers are comfortable, good lookingm and seem well made. However, the "woven" leather on the top of the shoes is truly just embossing. The shoes is no more breathable than a smooth, full-grain leather loafer. I wanted woven or perforated loafers for warmer weather. I returned them.

Show was narrower than other size 9s

First of all, the dark gray is not at all gray but it does look exactly like the picture. It's a relatively comfortable shoe but the downsides are the following: It's got a flimsy upper and heel so you can't just step into it and slide your foot in; you have to use your hand to pull the opening open. When you walk, the middle of the upper creases and folds in and smushes the top of your forefoot. It's likely due to the leather being new and I feel it will resolve over time. The footbed is not removable so you won't be able to put in a more comfortable insole.

Very tight fit first time putting these on. Had a pair previously and they fit very well. I hate the label sewn to the insole. You can feel it when walking.
