I ordered this in the grey and the taupe to sort out the color that was best for me. I tried on the grey and immediately fell in love - I am keeping that color. These are comfortable right out of the box. The padded footbed is divine. The only thing that I might be troubled with is that the toe box might be narrow for some. I am 57, 5'7" and 145 pounds, I wear a size 9 and ordered a size 9. This size accommodates thin socks and would be good without socks too I suppose. As someone else mentioned, unbuckle the strap to slide your foot in. I am sold on Born.

These boots are great. They fill so many of my wants for an ankle boot: terrific with skinny jeans, straight jeans, and skirts. I can't believe that I found a single pair of boots that are perfect for so many types of clothing! I did find that the size that fit me was a half-inch smaller than what I usually wear. In terms of color, I would say they are an olive brown, if that makes sense. They aren't gray or green, but they aren't what I typically think of as a true brown leather color either. This is not a bad thing (I happen to love the color), but I just wanted to mention it. For me, the only downside to these boots is the way the leather wears. They're made of that type of leather that scuffs very easily. My husband insists they looked great that way, but I tend to like leather that stays a bit more polished/shiny and consistently colored all over. After wearing the boots 2 times (for maybe 4-5 hrs each time), they looked like I'd owned them for 2 months. I'm not thrilled about that because I wanted them to look a bit nicer/dressier than they look with the scuffing.

Nice boot and of course the quality of Born. The style was more "western boot/cowboyish" than what I was looking for so I have returned it. It felt true to size and width and about the same arch support of any other Born shoe.

Comfy boots but don't get them wet at all. They only got a little wet walking to work one day. Ended up with basically water stains (white lines) all across the toe of these and now cannot even wear them. Bad quality. Looks almost as if it peeled off some coating or something that was on them.

Stylish and comfortable. Shoe can be worn with casual or more formal attire. Size chart is accurate. Great all around shoe.

These are very nice boots. The only complaint I have with them is, the sides of the boots rub both medial and lateral side of the ankles. these seem to run wide(for me)

These shoes are exactly what I have been searching for. Cute with various styles of pant legs, either skinny jeans or a little wider pant too. They are super comfortable and have pretty decent traction too.

I'm usually between a 9.5 and a 10 but these definitely run a bit big and they still feel roomy in a 9.5. Looks great with skinny pant leg or bootcut. Heal hight is just right yet comfortable. Would buy again!

I normally wear size 8 1/2. I purchased this pair of boots in size 8 in taupe. They were very tight at first, but not uncomfortable. They became very comfortable after wearing them for a couple of weeks. When the black pair went on sale, I ordered a pair, also in size 8. I was surprised to find they were slightly loose right out of the box. And the shoes were slightly wider (both at the arch and at the ankle) compared to the taupe colored pair. These are beautiful and comfortable boots with good arch support. But I don't like to wear slightly loose boots, so I will return them. To me, slightly loose boots are like wearing flip flops in the summer, only heavier. I have to drag them when I walk. But these boots could definitely work for someone else.

I normally wear size 8 1/2 shoes. Based on other reviews' suggestion, I ordered size 8 in Taupe Oiled Suede. When I tried them on, they were tight. They felt too narrow for my feet. I was concerned. Since I wear boot cut jeans, the tip of the boots are the only part showing. I really like the way the boots looked when I wore them with jeans. I decided to take a chance and kept them. When I first started to wear them, they were tight. I wore thin socks with them. After wearing them for a few weeks, they became very comfortable. I could wear any type of socks with the boots. And I could wear them for the whole day. The Taupe Oiled Suede looked like well maintained aged leather boots when they first arrived. I liked the neutral color and the slightly distressed (rustic) look. After about a week of wearing them, they showed scratches and scuff marks. I rubbed neutral shoe cream onto the boots to get them back to the well maintained look.

Love these - this is my 2nd pair, I have wide feet and these fit great. No break in time - love them right out of the box.

These boots are very comfortable. I tried a lot of different brands in similar styles, and this one was by far the most comfortable. They're cute, too. I wasn't totally thrilled with the flap in the front, so I took off one star for style; but the comfort more than makes up for it!

Love love love these boots! They look great with everything. They do have less arch support than other born boots I've owned.

Very nice boot. Ordered the suede taupe color. I have a narrow foot, and wear a size 9 1/2. Ordered the 9 1/2 M and it fits perfect. Insole is cushioned and comfortable. I wanted a boot that I could wear with jeans, sort of a western boot look. I also like that the top of the boot does not gap. Originally ordered the Born Himilia, but it was slightly to big and wide.

This fit well and was true to size. It did rub a bit on my ankles, which was uncomfortable and the pointed toe was too cowboy-boot-look for what I wanted.

Super comfortable boot. Can walk in all day. Most other boots I have tried are narrow. I usually have to get 1/2 size bigger. These fit great!
