Loved the style, but the fit is odd. I like to wear hand knit socks with this style shoes and ordered an 8, which is my size, but the shoe was too short. My toes jammed to the front. I returned the shoes and ordered an 8.5. The length is now OK but the shoes are now too big and I walk out of them. I have decided to keep them and add an orthopedic insole on top of the existing insole. Although it raises my foot at the heel, I can wear them. I'll just need to wear them when I don't have a lot of walking planned. Why not purchase another MJ style shoe? I couldn't find another shoe that didn't look clunky. Most have top vamp styles that are very high cut and seem to be suitable for the elderly. (I had a pair of Clark's that were cute and I loved, but the company has discontinued the style and my old shoes are looking ratty.)

I thought these would be perfect for work, they are really cute, but the felt small in the length, my toes hit the end, and they were not comfortable at all, the arch felt weird. I was bummed, because they are really cute.

I live in my Merrell sandals. I was looking for a Mary Jane to wear to work. My toe was closer to the end than I expected in my regular size. I was also disappointed in the lack of arch support compared to my other Merrells. Probably okay for people wanting a comfortable shoe, but would not be enough for someone with plantar fasciitis. I think if you sized up, you would get a good fit, if arch support is not as important to you.

The size was close to a perfect fit, but ran a little short for me and the diagonal strap hit me foot at an awkward place. Nice shoe for the price, but not for me.

These shoes are gorgeous but too narrow across my foot and toes. They were agonizing to try to put on but I have a big toe that is eat up with arthritis and will not bend much without an incredible amount of pain. Take away is I love them but they did not come in a size 11 or I would have returned the 10 for an 11.

They feel more stiff than I expected. There’s a seam on the upper that rubbed my feet. And the heel is a bit too wide.

There was a ridge near the end of the insert that came with the shoe, and that made it somewhat uncomfortable. My toes were squished immediately to the front of the shoe. My narrow heels slid out the back, although the strap stopped it somewhat. Overall, not very comfortable for me.

I ordered a size 6 1/2 in this shoe and it was too short. I also ordered a size 7 at the same time. The size 7 shoe gave me room in the toe and felt better, but if the strap weren't on, the shoe would have come off. Too big. I thought the shoe was nice looking online, but on my foot it seemed somewhat clunky. I want something more refined. I guess Merrell shoes (or this one at least) aren't meant for my feet.

Returning. Seems very comfortable in the heel, but the toe box is too stiff and hard for my toes. It's especially hard and hits a bit high at the edge that ends above the toes. Love the style. Diagonal strap seems comfortable. Sad I can tell these won't work out, but I can't imagine them softening up to anything comfortable around the toes. Probably my last try for Merrell brand.

Oh how I wanted to love these shoes! I loved the styling, the diagonal stripe and the fact that they were so light weight. The toe box is nice and wide so my tootsies had room to spread when I walked. I usually wear an 8.5 so I ordered an 8.5. They seemed a tad snug. The biggest issue I had was the Left big toe area seemed to be pushing my toe down. It was as if my toe was being flattened. I did not foresee that going well for my toenail. I figured I'd try the next size up. My 9's came and I was so excited...until I put them on. What?! Now the RIGHT toe was being smashed down, and these were not that much rommier than the 8.5. I wores them around the house trying to convince myself they were awesome but after only 15 minutes of wear I got a hot spot on my heel. These go up a bit high in the back and kind of squeeze. I imagine a blister would form even with socks (and I have narrow heels and ankles). So, even though they are cute I am not paying 100 bucks for shoes that cause smashed toes and blistered heels. They are going back.

This felt a little loose and had no arch support. The color is a very dark brown.

These are cute shoes and I had high hopes for them, but they are not going to work for me. I ordered my usual size, 8.5 M, but my toe is pushing on the hard leather in the front at the same time my heel is slipping at the back.

I was sorry to find out that these did not have the cushion that my previous Merrell's did. At 84yrs. old I need every bit of cushioning I can find for my poor old and tired feet.

Very cute shoes, however after wearing them for a short time I developed blisters on each heal. Has anyone had a problem with this?

Cute, but too wide and clunky. Look cuter in the picture than on my foot.

These shoes looked nice on my foot and in length, they were perfect as I usually wear a 7 1/2 and that was good. They are very wide though. I have a normal-a little wider foot yet these were so wide, I kept thinking an incorrect size or width had been sent. Since they were very sloppy on my foot, I sent them back.

I have gotten the worst blisters from these shoes! They're very cute and I wanted to love them but they're killing my feet.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I'm a teacher, so I need comfortable shoes for standing and walking in all day. I've had other Merrell shoes that offer great support but they weren't dress shoes. These mary janes are cute, and I liked the red color since it goes well with black, brown, navy, or khaki dress clothes. I normally wear a size 9 and these fit well in a size 9. Unfortunately, these shoes have very little or no arch support. I thought about keeping them and getting an insole to provide the support, but didn't want to have to spend more on top of the cost for these shoes. So I returned them and tried another brand. If you don't have high arches like I do or don't need to stand all day, then these shoes would be great.

The shoe feels large enough but squeezes my little toe and does not offer the cushioning my 56 year old feet need.

Bought these shoes for my daughter, but she did not care for them. Even though they were a half size too big for me, I tried them on. The shoes are very comfortable with the exception that the toe of the shoe has an upward curve that feels somewhat odd to me (which may have been accentuated due do the fact that they were a half size too big for me).

I have a short wide foot and these shoes certainly fit that description. They fit the best with a heavier sock, but are a little loose with tights or a thin sock. I like the diagonal strap - it makes them easy to slip on without having to unbuckle them. Overall, I like the shoe - it's pretty comfortable (although I have not done a huge amount of walking in them), easy to put on, lightweight and is a good casual style I can wear with both slacks and casual skirts or dresses.

I'm returning these. I have always been a Merrell girl but not this time. Something about them was just not right but I can't say what it was. However, they are very attractive shoes but fit is most important to me.

I was hoping that these could replace my worn out Merrill Mary Janes that I"ve had for years and love. These were a disappointment. Toe box seems short as I ordered in my usual size but my big toe was hitting the front and top of the toe box. The old style was more dressy without having a high (or short) heel and I loved them. These are not as attractive and they run small.

I usually like Merrells, as they tend to be well made and comfortable. This style is very stiff and uncomfortable, though its quality is good. The style is clean. Returning.

I bought this same shoe 2 years ago and wore them constantly. Very comfortable. Ordered again and although the shoe looks exactly the same and I purchased the same size as the one I previously bought, the fit is terrible. The shoe fits, except the big toe rubs against the shoe. Having to return and am very disappointed because I loved this shoe in the past.
