I have high arches and walk all over the streets of New York City. I need sturdy arch support. These shoes are like wearing sneakers, super comfortable. I highly recommend them for walking on concrete. My only complaint is they look kind of dorky unless you are wearing a flared pants leg. I wish they looked as stylish when paired with leggings and a dress. I took one star away for the dorky appearence, but gave 4 style stars for the shoes having a good sole and are made of leather uppers and not man-made materials.

This MJ shoe is as luxuriously comfortable as I expected from a cousin to the Merrell Barefoot running shoes I so enjoy. On my 4th pair of those, thank you very much. As my new office casual shoe, this Merrell had to measure up to the Earth Shoes being replaced. I could walk all day in these new Merrell's. Soft flex & cushoin-y step. Lightweight, though not a weightless shoe like the Barefoot.

Merrell shoes are always so comfortable they have excellent arch support after buying two other styles I got these because they are nice enough for work. I love the color, too!

Cute shoe, very light weight, yet good quality you'd expect from Merrell. I wear 39s from Dansko, so that's what I ordered here. I had to send them back and order the next size up. Unfortunately I have wide feet and even with the larger size, the opening cuts across too tightly where my foot is the widest. Also, the toe box presses on my toenails. I really like them. I wish they fit.Too bad they don't come in a wider size.

Took these on a trip up to New England. They were comfortable right out of the box. However, I did insert a thin gel type shoe liner to give we a little more cushion since I was anticipating a lot of walking. I do have a med/wide foot and the shoe box is adequate.

Love these! So cute and comfortable right out of the box. I wear these with dresses, shorts, and jeans - very versatile style. Feminine look without sacrificing comfort.

Very comfortable and flattering on my foot. I usually wear a wide, but this shoe was only available in medium and was perfect width. No arch support, but I wear an orthotic.

These are so cute and comfy. Wore them right out of the box for about 5 hours with plenty of walking around the office. They felt great! No rubbing or scratching. The arch support is moderate, not excellent, but they certainly did the job for light walking/mostly sitting. They look so cute with my crops and ankle pants. Got 2 compliments on them! I think they will look cute with socks in the winter, too.

I love these. I have worn them with skirts, pants and capris. They run true to size. I ordered a 6½ and that fit well.

Put these shoes on the first time and wore them all day. No breaking in necessary. My orthotics fit in because insole comes out. They look great and are very lightweight.

I find the footbed of Merrell shoes to be perfect to support the high arches of my feet. I need the arch support Merrell's usually offer. I bought these shoes to transition from winter into summer. So far they have met the bill. I wear them when I must do lots of walking on pavement. Some reviewers said they don't give them enough arch support, but I experience the opposite. They do! That is the key element I always look for, living in New York City, where I have no choice but to do plenty of walking. And, that is the reason I will pay the asking price for a pair of Merrell, when I can't catch a sale. The soles of Merrell's will last several years before you have to replace them, which is a plus. The style is a little more casual than I would have liked. However, they are cute and versatile and can be worn with slacks or a dress. Your can wear them in the fall, spring and early summer. By mid-summer, you will want to switch to the mesh Merrell Mary Janes, or something similar that lets a breeze in. This shoe is a smooth, durable leather. They will feel hot in July and August. They are a little lightweight for January and February, but are perfect for in-between the extremes of hot or cold weather.

These are great! When I was pregnant they were the perfect work shoe when my feet were super swollen and after baby their my go to for errands. Super comfy. Will definitely buy again when these are worn out. Telling all my pregnant friends to get these!

I'm normally between 7 and 7.5 Medium. I bought the 7.5 so I could put orthotics in them. The fit was perfect. My foot shape is small, but boxy with short toes. Love the look of them. I'm middle-aged, and didn't want them to look too little girlish. This style of Mary Jane looks more mature on my foot. I am on my feet all day at work, and it was important for me to have a shoe with a thicker sole...without sacrificing style. I've always had good luck with the Merrell brand.

I love the style and color and basically the shoes. But they are a little tight in the toe area. You cannot depend on them stretching a tiny bit. They are very stylish and look good on my feet. I am sorry to have to return them.

Great for those who stand all day. Plenty of room in the toe box. Even with socks I still wear my regular size! I plan to buy the other colors.

I was looking for a comfortable but cute shoe that I could take on my cruise to walk around the different islands. I have to wear custom orthotics in my shoes so finding shoes to accommodate them is difficult. I tried several pair before finding these. I ordered the brown first and wore them around the house. They were so comfortable right out the box. So I ordered a pair in black as well. I know they say never take new shoes on a vacation (and I was a little nervous) but these worked out fine. I wore them daily with skirts and slacks they looked and felt great. They are worth every penny. The shoe is made very well. They have great toe room and a narrow heal to keep your feet from slipping out. I really like the look of the angled strap. The leather is a good quality. These are my new favorites and every day shoes. I wish they came in more colors. Anyone who wears orthotics looking for a great shoe try these you won t be disappointed.

This is a very comfortable shoe. It has a nice wide toebox and it is true to size. I can wear with slacks to work or a relatively casual dress or skirt. Appropriate with jeans. I had a different style Merrells (similar but more casual style with Velcro strap over instep) that is very comfortable so I was hoping these would be just as comfortable and they are. Pricey, but worth the cost. I was going to return them if they didn't meet my expectations, but the shoes fit, are comfortable and will work for me so I'm keeping them. If you have a narrow toe box, this may not be the shoe for you, but I love them.

I bought these shoes to take on a vacation I knew I would be doing quite a bit of walking and they performed famously. In fact one day, we walked 9.5 miles through Richmond Park outside of London, and along the Thames path to Hampton court Palace. No blisters (I seem always to get them), and no sore feet which I tend to have if I'm not wearing athletic shoes. They're very light weight and hold up well in damp weather. One point to mention, though: they run small. I wear an 8.5 and ordered a 9 to be on the safe side. Although the toe box is roomy (my feet are more wide), my toes were very close to touching. Hard to believe I would need to order a 9.5 in any shoe, as I have never had to before. Still, I love these shoes and will get much use from them.

Love these shoes. Bought them for commuter shoes...but they're so much more. Looks great with leggings, very cute and urban. I have long skinny feet so most shoes feel a tad wide, but I need the length.

I was looking for a stylish, comfortable shoe with good tread for both traveling and working in a job where I stand on my feet most of the day. These shoes are perfect. I ordered a few similar styles, one of which was a bit more stylish, but these fit the best. This is the first time I've used Zappos and won't be my last!

I absolutely love these shoes. They are even cuter in person than online. I ordered them, not positive that they would be keepers. Now that they are here, I do not want to take them off. The leather is so soft and even though it kind of touches my bunion a little bit, it took five minutes for the shoes to adjust, and I can wear them all day, with or without socks. I never take brand new shoes on a vacation where we do a lot of walking, but I have no hesitation taking these when we travel in three weeks. These will be perfect with ripstop cargo-ish pants, with black chinos, and also with a long crinkle skirt.

Love them, for the most part. BUT - there is NO arch support! Fortunately, I had a pair of molded arch supports that I could tuck in, which helps. The toe box seems to be quite generous enough, the heels are a bit loose, which they ALWAYS are. At some point I will need to have another hole punched in the straps. I have a bony foot, very skinny. Straps are always too long. But, these don't seem to need any 'breaking in'. They are comfortable on the balls of my feet, so, no problems with the Morton's neuroma. These are replacing a pair of NAOT MaryJanes: THOSE, after barely a year - the soles were almost like new, as if I'd never worn them. But the straps were quite literally falling apart, coming unstitched, and surface finish simply cracking, disintegrating, and falling off. I will never buy NAOT again.

I first ordered these shoes in my regular 8 1/2 size but they were too small. I ordered a 9 and they fit fine. I am wearing a Smartwool medium cushion sock in them. My feet are narrow and I have the strap on the last hole. If I put an orthotic in I'd have to get a 9 1/2 but they feel pretty comfortable without one at this point. They are cute and not super wide so they look nice with straight leg jeans and leggings.
