Reviews Are Right: got rid of my hip pain astonishingly fast. Weary of paying a lot for slippers but it was time to either get hip replacement ($$$) or these slippers. Adios hip pain. Wish they offered 1/2-sizes but not sure if 1/2 size bigger affects the arch? They're a bit like walking in barges but for the benefits, get out the tug boat and pull me for all I care. Worth every penny.

These boots are adorable but...they are very tight in the calf (as many other reviewers have mentioned). I have never had trouble with a boot being this tight. I could zip them with a light knee sock on but there is no way anything else such as leggings or skinny jeans would fit. I am very disappointed but must return them for this reason.

I have small feet and average/wide calves (I think my calf circumference is about 14"). These were SUPER tight on my calves, so I am returning them. That said, the footbed is the signature comfortable Merrell footbed and I'm sure they would keep a narrow-calved gal dry and happy. They are cute boots that really can be worn with leggings on the weekends and a work dress during the week (presuming you don't work in a "business formal" environment.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! I tell myself this all the time; I live by the review... but somehow this boot seduced me enough to ignore the warnings. These boots are gorgeous. I love them. However, they are INCREDIBLY TIGHT on the calves. I've never had shoes make me feel fat... but zipping these up made me feel like I was trying to fit into jeans I wore in middle school. I'm not delusional about my size, trust me, but I know that my calves are not abnormally massive. It was a real struggle to get the zipper all the way up, and then walking around I wondered if I might eventually lose circulation. Forget wearing skinnies under these -- they're skin-tight already. I will admit that I haven't sent them back yet, clinging to some ridiculous shred of hope that either the boots will grow or my calves will shrink...

These are designed all wrong. As another reviewer has pointed out, these boots are just wrong. The footbed is totally lacking in comfort or support, and is oversized. Maybe this was done intentionally to accommodate custom insoles, but even with my insoles the fit was still way too wide and sloppy. On the other hand, the shaft is much too tight. I do not have large calves, but these are not made for normal people. Overall poor design. I used to love Merrell boots and they fit me well. What happened?

Boy, I did not think my calves were overly large but they apparently are, at least in Merrell's world. No way could I zip these up.
