They are not waterproof. I vend at festivals. I'm vending right now. The grass is wet. I'm standing in moist grass. It's not even that bad, yet my feet are cold and wet. Just want to stay warm and dry but these boots cannot do that. Water resistant sure. Water proof no way. Going to see about returning...very disappointed to spend the money but not get the product.

I bought these boots to wear for a business trip to NYC in February. They took a little while to break in, but after I wore them several times, they fit like a glove. They are perfect for lots of walking and are waterproof so they are great for rain and snow. These are my go to boots every winter for my business trips in NYC when I know I'll be doing a lot of walking. My feet never hurt after wearing them.

This boot was great. Looked good on my legs. It fit my calf for I do have slim legs. I had to return it for my left ankle does not have any flexibility and it was a struggle getting into the boot. It appeared to be a very warm boot inside. I would keep these if I did not have some special needs.

This boot does exactly what I hoped for with our El Nino weather -- comfortable, fashion styled boot that is waterproof and has great traction. I definitely recommend this boot.

Love these boots. They don't hurt anywhere around my ankle like some do. They are roomy enough for an extra insert or orthotic too.

I'm 5'9" 145lb. and these boots fit perfectly- snug around the calves but not too tight and hit about 2.5 inches below the knee. I was nervous that they might rub my heel and take some breaking in, because there is a hard back to the shoe, but upon wearing outside of the house, there was no rubbing at all- super comfy and could walk miles in these shoes. Also very warm and look cute with a skirt!

These boots are comfortable and look great. It only took two wearings to stretch into a perfect fit. I have worn them with tights and light socks, not heavy socks for winter yet, so it remains to be seen how that goes. I do not think they will be warm enough for my northern New York winters.

I usually wear an 8.5 - 9 and in these boots I wear an 8.5. I have narrow feet and very thin legs. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!!! LOVE them and am purchasing another pair! I originally purchased these to be occasional wear but ended up going out and buying more skinny jeans just so I could wear these every day.

I love these boots! I was concerned about the slimness of the leg due to other reviews, but they fit great. They are a bit snug initially, but once zipped they were great. I wore them all day the first time out of the box and hated to take them off at the end of a long day shopping. Wide toe box, very supportive. Did I mention that I love them?

These boots are comfortable and warm. They are a nice height and fit well on the calf. I'm 5'4" and 130#, athletic build. The soles seem sturdy. I'm looking forward to testing them in the snow on my work commute.

These boots are comfortable!! The toe box is wider than other boots that I have which makes them fit my foot. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but I purchased a size 9 in this boot.

I agonized over ordering these because of the fear my calves would not fit (14¾"), but they do and the boots are lovely! They run true to size and are comfortable. If you have calves my size and plan to wear them with jeans, I might consider the Sam Edelman Women's Penny Riding Boot instead.

I purchased 5 different boots so I can choose the best one. The Merrells were the 4th one I tried and I instantly knew they were going to be the ones. They are comfortable. However they built their sole works well... since my foot instantly knew the difference. Walking around in these is like a vacation for my feet. I also liked how these didn't bunch up around the ankle area. Beautiful, seamless look from the bottom to the top. Love!

I bought these based on the reviews saying that the calves are more narrow than average. For reference, I'm 5' 7" with 12" calves, and while these are less baggy than most boots, they're still not quite as snug as I'd like. Best fit I've found so far, though, and very cute and comfortable. Looking forward to wearing them all winter long!

Trying on a new pair of shoes is usually not a pleasant activity for me who has awkwardly shaped wide feet. I usually compromise style over comfort. This pair, though, is not only conformable but looks great on me! I have to agree with the reviewer who wrote they were tight around the calves, though. I am 5'5" and weigh 130. I never thought my calves are bigger than average.... It is a bit difficult to zip it up, but I figured it would soften up eventually. Once zipped, there is no discomfort. I am happy with the purchase and thrilled with my first experience with Zappos.

I absolutely love these boots! From the second I opened the box I loved the way they looked...so sleek...and then I put them on and was blissfully happy. They look great and they feel wonderful...they are Merrells after all. I tried them on with skinny jeans and they zipped up with no problem. Not too loose or too tight around the calves. True to size. I can't wait for cooler weather so I can wear them daily.

Love these boots. As others have said, they are indeed very slim through the calf. My calves measure somewhere around 14 or 14.25" and I can barely zip them over jeans, but they do zip, and they look very sleek. The footbed is comfortable, too. Regarding sizing, I wear a 7.5 or 8, usually 8 in boots, and the 8 fit fine here both width-wise and length-wise.

These felt comfortable right out of the box. They run true to size. They almost make me look forward to Winter.

I purchased these boots for an upcoming winter trip to Europe. They are super comfortable, waterproof and have an easy urban style. I consider the color the ultimate neutral...perfect with any outfit. One note - if you have large calves these may not work for you.

Comfortable, a little snug zipping past the calf (I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs), but not bad. I was looking for something dressy to wear with skirts and I think the waterproof material gives the boot more a functional "winter boot" kind of look rather than dressy/sexy. If I still lived in the cold, I would rock these boots.

These boots are life savers! I've had foot pain in recent years and these boots have help tremendously. I bought them in every color. I use them to feed horses and to go to work in an office setting. Extremely comfortable and very durable.

These are great boots especially to get through the snowiest winter ever in Boston. I have pretty skinny calves 5-7 /125 lbs. and these fit great. I can still fit jeans in the boots with not a lot of room to spare. They are also really tall just a few inches below my knee. For commuting, these boots have made all the difference in the world. Highly recommended.

I have very slim feet, ankles, and calves and these boots are perfect for me. I have room for thick socks and jeans, but they still fit well with thin socks on a bare leg without gapping and looking ridiculous. And they are super comfy, even after walking all day in them. They fit true to size on length, but run a little narrow. If you are larger boned or have muscular calves, these are probably not going to be the right choice. I love the style as well, it's very versatile.

Comfortable, warm, look great with skinny jeans/pants,leggings and skirts. Stylish casual boots well designed and made with great quality. Designed for wider foot and bigger calves. Many boots have a baggy look around ankles (when looking at the front); however, these boots have a very sleek look and they nicely hug my ankles which are on a skinnier side.
